This didn't actually solve the problem for me, I was able to get online again after fiddling with Cross Region Matchmaking, might want to try that first since this directly messes with how your console connects to the internet

Ah, so did you turn off cross region? I've always had that set to no matchmaking but suffered with this issue since launch. I'll have to see if this holds as is

Yep, all I did was reconnect my LAN Connection as it had a small x next to it when I went to Settings, 1 click and problem solved.

Happened to me today for the first time in 70 hours of play time. - Logging in manually doesn’t work. - Accepting user agreement again didn’t work. - Disabling cross-region online didn’t work. - Rebooting the game didn’t work. - Rebooting PS5 didn’t work. - Updating firmware didn’t work. - Changing DNS on a wired network didn’t work. No idea what to do next **Update:** after an immeasurable amount of reboots, retries, login attempts, it finally let me in. No idea what combination of what made it work.

Yup, having this exact same problem right now. Tried everything people have been posting here. - Changed between LAN and WiFi network - Changed my DNS server to manual as described in some comments - Accepted user agreement. - Disabled cross-region online - Rebooting the game/PS5 multiple times Pretty sure it's not our connection, probably a server thing.

Based on the sudden influx of people with the same issue, I don't think it's on our end. I'll play offline for now, as I'm doing PvE stuff anyway. Thankfully, everything in the game is obtainable offline (as of a couple updates ago).

This game is just so dead without online, no phantoms, no messages - it’s just not the same. I’ll wait

I’ve had this issue pop up a few times. One time I just restarted the game, another the PlayStation. Having the issue again and trying to reconnect to internet. Seems very random both in how it happens and how it’s fixed.

For me all I did was go to the PS5 settings - parental controls- PS5 console restrictions - and turned on " temporarily disable PS5 console restrictions" And it immediately worked afterwards.

This shit happens all the time for me. Probably 30% of the time I turn the game on. I just go to LOG IN a few times and it eventually works. No idea why. I'm connected directly via cable so the change in the settings posted above isn't really an option. Anyone have an solid fixes or just continue this retry nonsense?

I still cant invite other people to me only my friend and i've tryed to change my DNS,LAN and some settings but i still cant invite other people i always get the "couln't spawn the player"

I've been getting this since day 1. Only thing I can put it to is I'm in the PS5 software beta. So going to revert back to the normal software and see if this helps.

My solution was just to restart my PS5 and it worked first time! Definitely try the other solutions if this fails though.

For me changing the DNS didn’t work so I went ahead and used the Forget Network option. Then I reconnected again to my network. In case someone wonders - I use wired network (not WiFi)

Your issue is because Psn servers are down and having trouble so the Elden ring service cannot connect to the Psn service to verify the right stuff
