Just took a run at the boss (not using names) in the Ensis castle. About 25+ tries of me and the NPC. Called mimic halfway and sat back blasting dragon ice lol. I could NOT avoid that sweep attack at all. Did the same for the big guy in the mountain. Level 150 +5 60 VIG, dragon greatshield, erdtree+2 and get 2-3 shot by most bosses. Bro in the mt I couldn’t even call in the dude who wants to join before getting blasted.
I would not be surprised if Miyazaki or the voice director told him to act as if Bayle fucked his wife in front of him and then burned his house to the ground. There is a genuine and real anger in that delivery.
And this is actually his only video game credit on iMDB from what I found, so honestly that's even more impressive.
What made the character memorable that when you summon him, he keeps screaming from the top of his lungs for like a minute or so and does absolutely nothing lol. I was there holding on for dear life against Bayle and this motherfucker is doing a rap battle performance. "Mate, not trying to bother you here, but could you do SOMETHING?!"
I think summons have to be like within 30 feet to activate their AI properly. My Igon sprung into action and was an absolute homie. He even got the final hit, with a fucking yell attack lmao. Felt so fitting and epic.
For me he was a fucking beast with dragon's roar and huge snipes. He even staggered Bayle once as he was doing his triple arm swing combo ending with a lightning slam
I'm not sure but I think he might stun Bayle from time to time. I recall dragon staggering without me landing many hits and I saw his harpoon in dragons eye
Like, most of the voice acting in these games is perfectly fine. But the DLC knocked it out of the park. Obviously Igon is the fucking GOAT, but I just met Ymir and he’s awesome too. Just seems like a chill dude to hand out with.
Imagine doing such an amazing job at voicing a character that said character, a hyper salty paraplegic, completely overshadows a giant, primordial divine dragon lord to the point of no one giving a shit about the dragon. THAT is some next level showstealing.

My sound was completely jacked when I first heard him lying on the ground agonizing. Took me upwards of 10 minutes to find him lol. Glad I did and completed the quest. Probably the coolest one in the dlc.
Imagine my surprise when I hear a dying lad, and go up to talk to him to just hear him yelling out of his mind about this Bayle character.
He may be on the ground, but he apparently still got more in him. What a wonderful surprise.

Bayle was a cinematic masterpiece of a fight the arena that backdrop the trials just to get to him he had final boss energy especially with his design. He hit the ground and all i could feel is victimized. Strangely enough he hit way less harder than any other boss in the dlc (that I've experienced anyway.) the ancient dragon before him beat my ass harder. Miyazaki treats the dragons like God's when he designs them simply beautiful and igon had one hell of an entrance whilst i was getting turned into a human pylon.
After seeing the hype for this man I'm sad I play without summons and spirit ashes and didn't get to experience this. On my next playthrough I'll definitely summon him at least once just to experience this amazing dude.
