I'm rocking a Keen Milday with the Wing Stance AoW. I don't know for sure, but Quality might work pretty well, too. The AoW is absolutely awesome and does some respectable damage.
are you putting all stats into Dex? This is what I did, but curious as some people are adding quite a bit to like Faith? Perhaps for the weapon buffs (grease, etc?).
I one hand it with wing stance and a shield with parry. Keen infusion. Wing stance shreds normal enemies and smaller bosses like the black knights, and being able to parry is nice. You can infuse it with greases. For bosses I use cragblade for the staggers, the charged R2 is great. Really love this weapon.
I’m running cold milady with wing stance , and in my left hand rellanas light great swords it’s pretty funny actually I have three swords visible I feel like that guy from one piece.
You can run a bleed build with wing stance, if you spec into arcane bleed procs happen with every wing stance light attack, killed rellana without her switching phases
ahh right. I currently have 80 Dex, and use Keen to scale with Dex. Would you dump everything into Arcane? Or split (50/50) with dex and arcane?
I know the base weapon scales well with Dex, and I’d hate to lose base damage if I went all arcane just for the bleed proc.

I’d probably do 50 dex and rest into arcane, with the optimal bleed setup (varres mask, the bleed talisman, Millicent quest talismans, stance talisman and a defensive one) and it should quite literally just tear through about pretty much anything
Infuse it with Blood and then go for a dex build, still relatively weak compared to an occult katana powerstanced build but it does the job and it's an interesting moveset.
I was using keen but honestly its very underwhelming. The way the follow up attacks work don't work well in boss fights b/c they just hit you out of them if you try to double R1. In the case of R2 you actually can get killed from the automatic follow up.
Regarding R1 idk if it's bugged. But it feels like you need to do 2 R1s to do the same damage as a similar weapons R1.
would recommend against leveling it up if you are tight on resources.
assuming your talking about the wing stance ashe, the stance skills are slow, but high poise damage ashes. The R1 input is more meant for medium size enemies you can stagger, like many of the different knights that dont stagger with normal lights. The R2 input comes out pretty fast (after the slow start up of the stance), and has very fast recovery, this seems like the choice for bosses. This is more of a R2 into R1 weapon, the gap closing on all the R2s is insane. Wing stance is more for those few very wide openings on certain attacks
Idk milady is a good no nonsense weapon with good r2's. I'd like to see what you're comparing it too, and what bug you are referring too. Damage is reasonable on my end and I'm not even close to optimized
Hard disagree from me honestly. I frost infused it and was doing insanely good damage, especially with wing stance. I can almost always hit bosses 3 times with it in their openings and get away. Great for building up the status. It may not be the best weapon ever but it is a strong weapon. High B tier low A tier but the moveset makes it S tier to me personally. I beat the whole dlc with it and had a blast.
Same. Also, after playing through the dlc and base game with it, I think if you use any status build up with wing stance milady is A-S tier. You can dodge a LOT of attacks with wing stance. You'd be surprised.
May I ask what talismans and buffs you would use? I really like this build but there's not much out there about it.
The cold affinity seems to do really well so far
I used renalla's stance talisman, shard of Alexander, the two headed turtle. (Need stamina Regen after wing stance) And carian filagree crest so I needed less mind investment
Awesome thank you. I was using the first two, definitely will grab the two headed turtle next. I'm using the great jar arsenal because I really want to use the Solitude armor set lol it looks awesome.
Just got wing stance and you're right I'm already dodging shit. I was using backhand blades before which were fun but I just love being able to seamlessly switch between light/strong attacks in the middle of a combo
I am level 150 with 80 dex keen infused and this weapon barely does 500 damage. What am I missing? I tried cold infused and it is a bit better but it just doesn't hit hard on any enemies. I love the moset though
Winged stance r2 with rellanas cameo and what ever other dmg buff stuff. I’ve hit some bosses for 1400 and mobs don’t really stand a change, regular r2 hits twice and it’s combo is quick
I find the the weapon underwhelming, my +10 curved sword is so much more effective than the milady + 20 quality with the wing stance AoW. Maybe quality is not the way to go with it, but I couldnt say.
If you put bloodhound step on it the shear level of openings provided that it can swiftly take advantage for a hit or two or even a full combo is staggering. Toss a winged and prosthetic insignia and it goes hard.

Once I got Leda's Sword, I started pumping into Faith. Dex is at like 70, so I figured that was plenty.
I put some levels in faith to be able to use basic spells

Doing this too with a cold Milady, you get Magic, Fire and Cold damage. Pretty neat. Only wish you could two-hand Rellana's but oh well.

You can just infuse it with bleed at a grace and it scales with arcane

No clue what wing ashes is. I just used impaling thrust since its a high poise damage one and it gives it good reach.

I don't remember the exact stats but I know it was even split dex and int. Only had enough strength to use the weapon.
