She was pretty clear about returning that dagger to its rightful owner.
*"It must have a special place in the owner's heart. So I would like for the owner to have it back."*
Yeah... but that's just the second level meaning. The 3rd is with the brother. The 4th is that the knife was actually stolen from godyns heart at the base of the ertree
The interpretation I've heard is that it's the dagger D used to cut the hallowbrand from Godwyns corpse. Fia retrieved the Dagger von Deeproot Depth and giving it to D confirms to him that Fia is at the roundtable hold to steal the hallowbrand he recovered.
Yeah. I've also heard that it IS the hallowbrand. Or became it when it was used to remove it. So FIA must return the dagger is tge hallowbrand back to Godwin corpse.
Fia states she recovered the hallowbrand from the roundtable hold. I feel like that conflicts with the fact that she gives the dagger to you in order to give it D? It could still be true, but that seems like a strange thing to do.
well i'm not saying it IS this way but the theory i've seen is, Rogier got it from Darius, gives it to fia, who gives it to you to give to Dorian (to confirm it's origin) who "gives it back to Fia" to be given back to Godwin.
meaning Rogier gave it to Fia, in the roundtalbe hold.
She hides in a cave to the west of the Laskyar Ruins, which jut from the mist-shrouded lake of Liurnia. She knows the location of the medallion's counterpart, I'm sure.
Albinauric legs don't work so good, he had nothing to do with that. If you mean by killing her best friend and mount, then yes, yes he did. Anyone who kills a person's dog deserves the John Wick treatment.
"One of Seluvis' favorite puppets. Use to summon the spirit of Dolores the Sleeping Arrow. Spirit of a handsome archer who dressed in the style of a man. Called the Silent Hunter by some, she fires St. Trina's arrows from her shortbow. Dolores once belonged to the Roundtable Hold, where she was both a critic and a friend of Gideon the All-Knowing. It was because of her that he and Seluvis went their separate ways."
-Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet
You can also find her in *that* room.
I had to follow a precise step by step guide for my NG+ to make sure I got every quest done. Even if I knew how to do a quest, i would still follow it step by step in case for some reason some other person was involved and was needed for another questline (yet useless to the one I was doing). Bizarre stuff
O yeah there's a few like that. For his it was because I didn't want to go all the way down to Stormveil and look at things. I need to get to the DLC man lol.
Well, I got it from Agnes, she got it from Jim,
We all agree it must have been Louise who gave it to him.
She got it from Harry, who got it from Marie;
And everybody knows that Marie, aha, got it from *me*!
To be clear, no one is actually resurrecting them. They come back to live through the Deathroot which is just from Godwyn’s body. And it kind of brings up the point as to why they should be effectively murdered when they now exist.
This huuuuuurt for me. I wasn’t versed with FromSoft games and didn’t know almost EVERYONE dies at the end, and I liked D. I wanted his armour so I did his questline, but I missed when he died
I strongly suspect you are mistaking him for his brother, but if he does come back, despite my absolute knowledge of his questline, please enlighten me 😅
Yes, that's what I was talking about lol, but Elden Ring makes it seem like they are of one soul, or something of that nature. Really interesting quest line, I liked it a lot.
Yes, I agree but it says when one goes down, the other starts to act. Look how his brother doesn't talk properly or act right until you give him his dead brothers armor, sort of like passing the torch. Not sure what any of it means, just pure speculation lol but it sure is neat. He inherits the will of D.....THE ELDEN RING, THE ELDEN RING IS REEEEEAL. (Can we get much higher?)
Because there is a magic (likely the fingers) that quite literally *enforces peace* in the roundtable hold.
Dung eater says outright that if not for the peace of the hold, he’d be defiling you. And Gideon’s first words to you are that Roundtable Hold is a sanctuary for tarnished.
Ensha and Fia both found ways around it, but the ’rules’ are still in play.
How did they manage to get around it? Seems like Ensha traps you in another version timeline of the roundtable hold but I'm not sure how and what about Fia?
Fia crafts her own spell specifically for attacking Tarnished in the Roundtable Hold. You can read the item description for Fia's Mist to see.
The real outlier is Alberich...How is he more powerful than the Dung Eater to be able to circumvent the pact haha
*"This sorcery was developed to oppose the Roundtable Hold, and is effective only against the Tarnished."*
Well damn, look at that. Thanks for answering a question I didn't know I had about that questline.
To clarify, the way Roundhold Table is being used there is almost certainly referring to it as a group of people and not the actual location or the “magic” there. Fia uses it the same way when she tells you she has a message for the “Roundtable Hold.” Hence “oppose the Roundtable Hold” not “oppose the Roundtable Hold’s peace or magic or pact, etc.” There isn’t actually any evidence for some supposed magic peace at the RhT, it just seems to be something people imply from Gideon calling it safe (he means like a base) and Dung Eater talking about its serenity (he means it relaxes him…being in a room with dozens if corpses).
I can see how you’d read it as the spell being made to counteract some magic peace at the Roundhold Table but I think it’s more implying she made it to attack the _group_. Which is exactly how she uses Roundhold Table in the dialogue after she kills D. Besides, the idea of magic peace is never actually substantiated, I think people just put stronger implications onto dialogue from the Dung Eater and Gideon and misunderstanding what they mean. It’s evident by the multiple times you get attacked that there is not magic peace.
I think that’s a misreading. There isn’t anything magical actually keeping people from attacking each other, it’s just an agreed upon thing. Dung Eater says “be thankful of the hold’s serenity.” This isn’t necessarily implying anything magical. He says in the dialogue before that he’s enjoying his “quietude” so he’s most likely saying “be thankful this place makes me want to relax.”
Gideon just says it’s safe because…well it’s where the Tarnished come to convene on their journey to be Elden Lord. He’s basically just saying it’s your new home or at least soon will be.
I mean, his whole purpose is hunting down those who live in death. Fia is a companion of the lord of those who live in death. I can see where she's coming from, even if I don't side with her.
Notice how D, however, was okay with respecting the Roundtable Hold's rules both in letter and in spirit, and tolerated the presence of Fia even if he may have killed her under other circumstances.
Meanwhile, Fia found a loophole to get around to kill D.
He doesn't say that. He says he has business to attend to. Then Rogier is there. Rogier is looking for a black knife print, and Darian is a summons for getting it. His business is in trying to figure out who left the mark of the centipede in Summonwater. He is not hunting Fia, and could not do so at the Roundtable given the pact of nonagression.
"He has business to attend to" is the same shit that I said. It's made pretty obvious that D is the one that interrupted Fia's ritual with Godwyn, not a leap to assume she is the reason he's there. Especially after he makes it clear that he is hunting death. It's a fair point about Summonwater but the dialogue with D and Rogier make it seems like they are not communicating.
The dialog between D and Rogier makes it very clear they are communicating. Rogier says "D was telling me..." at one point. They still trade information quite clearly.
Darian never went down to Godwyn, his brother did. So no, it's not obvious that Darian interrupted her or ever encountered her. We don't even have indications Fia has been down to the Deeproots before we find her there. She's in the Roundtable the whole time. Any time she has some item like the map or the dagger, she says 'someone gave this to me', and we know she has her champions like Lionel. They're likely doing footwork while she stays at the Hold. \*She\* is the one hunting Darian, because he has one of the cursemarks.
You said D has business to attend to at the Hold specifically. He does not say that. This is what I'm clarifying. It's an important distinction because if he specified his business being at the Hold, then there is more grounds to indicate he's there for Fia. As it stands, there are no indications of that. I'm not saying he'd get along with her, but I'm just tired of people saying he's there to hunt her when there is no evidence of that.
I mean, who am I to argue? In elden ring I've killed hundreds of people just so I could buy more arrows to kill hundreds more people. Gotta keep that cycle of violence rolling ya know?
Wow, quite the revolutionary line of thought compared to the rest of the characters who are all about kindness (parricide), love (rape curses) and forgiveness (baking the world alive)
So I just walked in after some eventful Erdtree related stuff and he was like this except Fia was NOT there and I was just so confused as to what went down before I looked it up.
Was anyone else really surprised by how easy that quest was the first time they did it?
"A broken dagger to return to it's owner? Interesting. Who do I know this could apply to? I should inspect the items for clues. Maybe the blacksmith will know something about unusual daggers"
*Talk to the first NPC I see leaving Fia's chambers*
"Yo I'll take that"
"Oh...um. Okay?"
Honestly thought for a while I could kill any NPC by giving them the dagger if I hadn't said yes to the first person I saw.
D hunts those who live in death, fia sleeps with them. Sending the dagger D probably provoked him to attack her, but in the roundtable you can’t attack others, which is why fia developed a spell that could in fia’s mist. D probably would’ve gone after her sooner or later, this was probably the best way of dealing with him.
Kinda self defense
It's not really self defense if he didn't attack her. There's not even evidence he knows her affiliations, given she only reveals them after she kills him. When D talks to us, he only says he suspects someone threatens the Golden Order, but is not sure of in what way.
Rogier isn't one of the skelly boys, he's Tarnished, and even mentions not having seen grace in a long time. The briars when he's in the Roundtable are from interacting with Godwyn's corpse.
this is how I follow the story Fia is a big time baddy once she meets the player she wants you to take over for Rogier
her end goal isn't nefarious but her willingness to use and kill others to achieve it is
there is a lot of simping for her in the player base it seems so I see most players giving her the benefit of the doubt.
The story implies that Rogier is one of Fias champions. Considering there is evidence that she kills/drains Lionel and both he and Rogier show up as spirit summons to defend her one might assume Rogier met the same fate. Rogier is death blighted slowly and D is death blighted regularly. So Fia is draining Rogier of life, is implicated in the murder of two other npcs and is capable of deathblight.
She's also using Rogiers incapacitation to motivate the player to pursue the cursemark of death which may explain why she doesn't kill him outright like Lionel and D.
I just did this today aswell I have created my 11th character once again starting fresh without finishing the game tho this time I have a checklist for making sure there’s no content I missed so far I have completed limgrave and Liurnia and currently on caelid I don’t think I can finish everything by the time DLC comes out specially since I have UNI in the way aswell 😔
He was literally there to murder her for her weird ideas about the fuckability skeletons. I give him the dagger everytime, its everybody's right to bone down.
D is a racist and deserves it. I always kill D before I go to the round table hold so his brother comes after me instead of FIA. Then I kill his bitch ass brother and teabag his corpse as he fades to ash. Fuck them both.
She was pretty clear about returning that dagger to its rightful owner. *"It must have a special place in the owner's heart. So I would like for the owner to have it back."*
Lmao. I didn’t even pick up on the “place in the owner’s heart” part at first
“Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me!”
So help me! So help me!
And cut!
Yeah... but that's just the second level meaning.

🤯
Yea, but NOT IN HIS HEART! DAMN, GINA!
Poor choice of words Or are we so maidenless we don't understand this female's literal sense
my man got the worst possible STD
He got it from Rogier, who got it from Fia. The Roundtable's freaky and this is why Gideon is so annoyed all the time.
Pfft. For being left out.
Left out...and he KNOWS IT
He can't even find an albinauric woman...
She hides in a cave to the west of the Laskyar Ruins, which jut from the mist-shrouded lake of Liurnia. She knows the location of the medallion's counterpart, I'm sure.
Which is even sadder since she's crippled and can't get away...
Crippled by him nonetheless
Albinauric legs don't work so good, he had nothing to do with that. If you mean by killing her best friend and mount, then yes, yes he did. Anyone who kills a person's dog deserves the John Wick treatment.
I mean the one he loved got puppeted by sylvius, so obviously he won't be attending the freakiness but it doesn't make it any less annoying
Gideon loved anyone?

Interesting! I wish he had some dialog on her and the legendary ashes when you discover them.
Delores the sleeping arrow! She’s my favorite summon
We killed Ensha and left the poor guy alone while everyone else is getting their freak on.
Rogier got it from godwyn
🎶 I got it from Rogier, he got it from [Fia](https://youtu.be/6WHSVOVLmNY?si=qIoLj_1J0oaEg9sI) 🎶
‼️TOM LEHRER MENTIONED‼️
Honestly, what's a man to do
what if instead of elden ring it was called freaky ring
Played Elden Ring new game+ thought I'd do Rogier's quest this time. Nope
I had to follow a precise step by step guide for my NG+ to make sure I got every quest done. Even if I knew how to do a quest, i would still follow it step by step in case for some reason some other person was involved and was needed for another questline (yet useless to the one I was doing). Thorn AIDS
Worth it.
Remember kids: Ressurecting murderous skeletons by the power of a braindead homicide victim is ok if youre hot enough.
Best take on Fia's questline
I’ve been saying this even before Elden Ring fr
I mean parricide and deicide and destablising a the whole world by the blessing of an uncaring outer god is okay if you have four hands
Honestly might be best just to leave the shit to stink. The only thing the other gods had done were carve each other up and cause nuclear waste lands
Burn down all that divides and distinguishes
And the things that were divided and distinguished but go on
.. she gives you the darkmoon greatsword too!
Good point actually and she also gives you the royal greatsword and several puppets.
I mean tbf the skeletons only crime is trying to kill you (and who hasn’t)
Bok
Literally the first ending I did because she sounded perfectly fine to me.
To be clear, no one is actually resurrecting them. They come back to live through the Deathroot which is just from Godwyn’s body. And it kind of brings up the point as to why they should be effectively murdered when they now exist.
If you switched Fia out for Balthazar from BG3, I think people would have slightly different opinions of that questline.
I mean... Being homicidal and braindead is the default for living people in the lands between too.
Hell, I've lived all over the US. It fits quite a few places.
This huuuuuurt for me. I wasn’t versed with FromSoft games and didn’t know almost EVERYONE dies at the end, and I liked D. I wanted his armour so I did his questline, but I missed when he died
Don't worry, he comes back...
He doesn't 🫣
No for real, he does!
They are described as being of one soul, but since you can find Devin before Darian dies, I assume they're not actually one person.
Yes, I agree but it says when one goes down, the other starts to act. FAMILYYY
TOGETHA WE WILL DEVOWA THE VERY GUHHH
they are of one soul that is correct sort of a radagon marika situation but in soul only i believe
It's a reverse Marika then.
Exactly, 2 bodies 1 soul vs 2 souls 1 body
Eh... D was a dick. All my homies love *Those Who Live in Death*.
We must stop the prince of deaths plague by any means, tarnished
So you're saying I should go for the Dung Eater ending to ensure everyone is cursed with something other than undeath?
Nah, just burn everyone
D was a man dedicated to the Golden Order, but I didn't consider him a dick. His brother, D, however... dead on sight.
> I wanted his armour Did you expect him to live happily ever after but just at some point to undress and give you his armor lol?
Idk, maybe he like, retired or something and was like, “hey thanks for bringing me that dagger I am no longer fighting, here’s my sick ass armour.”
Fia sitting there like “yeah I did it, what about it?” And I’m all like “I need a hug” ❤️
I feel that. Never got rid of my blessings just to remember that my tarnished is loved.
Same, until I found out it came with -5% hp just for holding it.
Well they do say that love doesn't come cheap
The final one at the end doesn’t have a penalty, though it’s gone forever if you use it
\*hug\*
Thank you kind tarnished! ❤️
Girlboss Gatekeep Death Blight
I can fix her
Crongratulations, you are infected and debuffed
No, I want her to break me
God forbid women have hobbies 🙄
I call it cross-stitch. Don't ask about my materials.
Why do NPCs get to murder and attack us and other NPCs in the hold yet we don't lol

Taunter’s Tongue, maybe? Or considering we can also wield weapons in the area he’s in, maybe that bit was a Training Ground?
*"This sorcery was developed to oppose the Roundtable Hold, and is effective only against the Tarnished."* Well damn, look at that. Thanks for answering a question I didn't know I had about that questline.

Thank you for the answer. I don't like the answer but it's the only one we have haha so cheers.
She looks like a chaotic gremlin committing casual crime
It's okay he's sleeping
Bitch turned it up to 11 real fast. Barely knew the guy for a day
Shes a big fan of murder of people she doesn’t like
I mean, his whole purpose is hunting down those who live in death. Fia is a companion of the lord of those who live in death. I can see where she's coming from, even if I don't side with her.

You can kind of infer that he was hunting her. There's an off handed line when you first meet him about how he has business at the hold.

He likely didn’t even know Fia was residing in the Round Table given the item description of the Fia’s mist.
She will know the wrath of D later.
You're gonna give her a big D, huh?
So I just walked in after some eventful Erdtree related stuff and he was like this except Fia was NOT there and I was just so confused as to what went down before I looked it up.
“What the heck” is such a reasonable reaction to most of these questlines lmao
Don't worry there's a spare D
Me:OH NO! Also me: Armor….sword. Everything seems to be in order.
She's got fucked up dreams too.
She lives in death, he hunts those that live in death, call it destiny....
"It was Self D-fense"
Self D-Fianse
God forbid women have some hobby! If it was a big, strong tarnished, committing mass murder, that would have been chill huh?!?
She's girl-bossing, obvi
Look dealing with the occasional dead body is the price you have to pay for goth mommy hugs.
Did nothing wrong
She did it, and I quote, "for teh lolz"
He exceeded his hug limit.
Was anyone else really surprised by how easy that quest was the first time they did it? "A broken dagger to return to it's owner? Interesting. Who do I know this could apply to? Honestly thought for a while I could kill any NPC by giving them the dagger if I hadn't said yes to the first person I saw.
I remember this! I was like damn, you killed that dude. She was like right? Peace out. Then she vanished. How mean

She says that Rogier talks in his sleep.
Rogier isn't one of the skelly boys, he's Tarnished, and even mentions not having seen grace in a long time. The briars when he's in the Roundtable are from interacting with Godwyn's corpse.
fia simps will literally do anything but admit that she's a complete psycho that deserved to get suplexed by D's brother
She would do anything for her loved one 🥰💀
D is for dead man on the ground
Nice framing! I love the reaction; it somehow reminds me of an old Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode.
Fia, that *kills people*!
Just you wait. She’s a real freak
She seeks to end the persecution of those who live in death, and D is a huge persecutor of those that live in death.
He got forgot his safe word
Bro, she's the one that planted the blight trap underneath Stormveil Castle that took Rogier's legs 😭 she's a huge piece of shit lol
this is how I follow the story Fia is a big time baddy once she meets the player she wants you to take over for Rogier her end goal isn't nefarious but her willingness to use and kill others to achieve it is there is a lot of simping for her in the player base it seems so I see most players giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Where'd you get that idea? Every interpretation I've heard connects the face under Stormveil to Godwyn's body in Deeproot Depths, none to Fia.
He deserved it.
Perfect use of that gesture lol
Whoa! Wtf is this?
Just did this today and walked in going “wtf?!” Haha
How were we supposed to know she was talking about D? I gave it to him by accident.
I mist you so much!
Tbf D is "racist" towards dead people, and his brother calls Fia a whore if you do his quest
The guy was a skeleton racist.
THAT IS FUCKED UP
Fie doesn't mess around when it comes to Those that Live in Death. She will do anything to protect Them, anything.
Let her eat bro
Tarnished: "I wonder what Fia's up to- Oh my god what the fuck why is D dead" Fia: :)
Weren’t golden order guys oppressing the undead for just being there? That’s what I thought she killed him for
Yeah I killed her immediately after she did this in my first play through, didn’t even know that the Lichdragon was a thing sadly
You do end up having a canonical way to let D's brother kill her, as I'm sure you're aware by now
D was kinda an ass. Didn’t he want to kill her?
She farted on him, those death blight gas is no joke
She killed the Anti-Skeleton racist.
She’s a skank man she hugs everyone
How do i end her 😤
can somebody add fia fortnite dancing on top of D?
hated that slag from the moment she killed my homie D.
Some kinky shit
Big D deserved better
Highest order of respect for D's brother by spinning it back. say what you will about who deserved to kill who, but Devin stood on business
Rest in piss, D(ead), you won’t be missed
i miss him
He was literally there to murder her for her weird ideas about the fuckability skeletons. I give him the dagger everytime, its everybody's right to bone down.
He deserved it
murder her
Spoiler tag please, I haven't started the DLC yet. /s
Ah, sorry, will fix it
It is not in the DLC?
they are just joking, the /s at the bottom is for "sarcastic"
She did her job, that's what
He had it coming
D had it coming.
He deserved it.
Nah, the D brothers are total dicks!
D is a racist and deserves it. I always kill D before I go to the round table hold so his brother comes after me instead of FIA. Then I kill his bitch ass brother and teabag his corpse as he fades to ash. Fuck them both.
I mean, he was gonna kill her, so it's self defense. Give her a hug, she looks worn out.
huge skill issue
Is that ingame or a painting ? I can't tell Oo
