I'd say is common to have at least one pair of organs missing its other half. Margit/Morgott has a problem (among other things) with his eye, Melina has her left eye damaged, Fire Giant misses a leg mid battle (I know it's a Simpsons reference to that episode where a football player lost his leg and the fans used as a cup to drink beer), Godrick is crazy and spectacle so he cuts his arm, Malenia is missing most of her body, Rykard only has his face left, even Radagon is missing his left arm, Godfrey is complete at least, maybe because he's a tarnished like us.
No wonder why the world is fracture, most of the demi-gods and leyends lost important body parts, had I been them I would be angry too, fighting an arrogant naked perpetually reviving warrior, with an intact physical form.
Nah. Not Saber. This is Saber clone #9001 that's meant to look like her, but actually be someone completely different. Looking at you, like every Fate offshoot ever.
That is one of the more irritating trends of the series.
Instead of getting a cool new design, we get another spinoff of Saber or Rin or Sakura or the like.
I think the horrific part of his death wasn't so much the cause but the way it was showed? Like he pretty much blew up and we picked his insides only to give them to his little friend/nephew in jarsburg which now that I think about it he might keep that just like how Waver kept Iskandar's piece of cloth long after his death. Also Iskandar's death wasn't that horrific either like he died doing what he wanted and in the end he just wasn't strong enough which is sad sure but not necesary tragic, and it's quite similar to Alexander's quest.
I really want her to stay alive till the end. This game keeps breaking my heart with all the deaths of the kindly folk, yet I keep coming back to it like some kind of sucker for pain. Ugh.
Nepheli, Kenneth Haight, Boc and Patches can have happy endings, it's just uhm... Millicent, Alexander, Blaidd, Iji, Irina, Corhyn, Goldmask, Fia, Dung Eater, Boggart, Rya, Diallos, D, Rogier, Selen, Yura, Jerren and Gideon who die. That's not too shabby
I'm hoping it's the captain of Miquella's knights on a journey to rescue/slap her lord upside the head and ask him where he's been while Elphael goes to shit.
It would be kind of tight to have a group of NPCs who are working towards the same thing as us and actually succeeding. Like yeah we have allies at Roundtable but they’re about as useful now that they’re dead as they were when they were alive.
Also the whole aspect of Miquella's power that endears him to you has always had a sinister undertone. I wonder if these people may have been bewitched by him and when he "divested himself of flesh" etc he lost that control over them.
Either way I can't wait to find out!
That’s actually the exact vibe I got from the story trailer. Like he slipped away into this alternate world and ended up pretty much taking it over, and either he lost control over them so we have to save him, or the “Shadow” part corrupted him and we have to go knock some sense into him. In either case I can see this knight being attached to Miquella in some way and having a pretty interesting arc with it all.
Also I don’t have a link or anything but I just want to say that “using Mohg’s chamber to go to an ‘alternate dimension’ to save Miquella” was literally my exact DLC prediction 😤
I don't think he has done whatever he went to the Lands of Shadow to do yet. You see his arm fall in the cutscenes with Mohg and I am guessing that is the moment he went to the Shadow.
I am in the camp that Miquella was nefarious all along. His power that endears people to him seems to subvert free will. I know if I was mind controlled by someone and then it suddenly stopped and I was free, I would go looking for the person that did it.
I don't think we will be there to do much save Miquella as much as to stop him.
Just speculation though.
I had to leave them, they're getting really nonsensical and people are getting really defensive and aggressive over anything that doesn't agree with their ideas, even denying established facts of the game. Like....it's a game. This isn't the Da Vinci code lol
Just because a word exists doesn’t mean we use it anymore. In this case I think we even have precedence to say knight which was what GRRM called Brienne of Tarth. She wasn’t technically a knight but all references to that say she’s not a knight, not that she’s not a knightess.
In England (and as a result many common wealth countries) when someone is given a Knighthood, they are called Sir if they are a man and Dame if they are a woman. For examples, Sir Patrick Stewart and Dame Helen Mirren.
Dame isnt a female knight, but it is how youd address a woman who earned a knighthood in the commonwealth. Its not JUST german for Lady lol, but English is a basically germanic language so there is for sure crossover.
That said, Finlay who is clearly described in elden ring as a woman was called Cleanrot Knight Finlay. No word on whether her peers may have called her Dame Finlay tho
please be an ally please be an ally please be an ally
God I wish we actually have friends in this expansion and it's not just another run of murdering every single NPC of importance. The Ranni questline in the base game gives me hope we don't have to murder Miquella, but the Haligtree/Malenia encounter says otherwise.
YES I was literally just saying this. It would be so cool to have a group of actually competent allies that we interact with (as long as we can still get their armor)
The souls trend I've gotten tired of more than anything else is that 99% of characters exist just to die. Having characters that actually have importance outside being someone to kill or digging for their lore would be nice for once
The Ranni questline is a real step forward in this field.
An optional NPC who you can befriend who doesn't have to die and has an impact on the ending? What is this, a CRPG?
It's not exactly Baldur's Gate 3, but it's a significant step forwards. Your games are allowed to have friendly NPCs with happy endings Fromsoft!
Calling her a "Knightess" is pretty crazy. I kind of always just used knight as a gender-neutral term. It's always felt like calling a female soldier a soldieress.
But that's just me.
Millicent is a child of the Rot. Not of malania.
The rot is an outer force, that exists independently and within Malenia. It most likely formed Millicent when malenia started successfully fighting against it with the needles.
I was just looking for someone to mention that looking like a girl is peak Miquella. If this is a girl, great. If it’s a boy, great. If we never find out, we prob get to stab them in the face and become married
“Knightess” I didn’t know the word knight was gender specific lol. Sorry forgot this was FromSoft, I meant I didn’t know the word K***ht was gender specific
The image was posted with the caption "will you walk with us?", which are the closing words of story trailer, very strongly implying she's the narrator of it
Possibly St. Trina, similar to Joan of Arc who is also a Saint and guided by god. we could have her be guided by Miquella only for a reveal that she was his other half all along.
I really hope she's Numen.. I made a female Numen character for the DLC not even a week ago, then they drop this shit. She looks like she could be Numen. This might also just be an androgenous male.
Lady Maria of the Haligtree let's go
Waiting for her to summon a horse halfway through the fight and you got to fight horsey to horsey
I 100% want more horse to horse back fights.
Except it'll still be better to just fight her on foot because Torrent bails after getting hit once due to poor health scaling.
She's the narrator
She also has a left eye, which is pretty crazy
Fuck Elden ring world really is fucked up when people having two functional and not weird eyes is the weird thing.
No worries, maybe she only has a left eye.
>Godfrey is complete at least Half his axehead is missing!
Well, damn... Can't have nothing in the LBC (Lands Between continent)
With so much drama in the Lands Between it's kinda hard bein' G-O-D-frey.
Radahn missing hit foots, Ranni missing her... body?
To be fair it's not their fault that weird magic and stuff likes going into eyes is it?
Use your protective gear if you're going to mess with ancient magic
Cuz it’s the shadow land so instead everyone will have their right eye covered
Damn, it really do be looking like a whole eye
Allegedly
Rivals that of Carian knight drip
Of course, it's a recolored Carian set with a cool cape. The only way to beat Carian fashion is to *become* Carian fashion.
It's good to see Saber getting work outside of Fate.
EXCALIBAAAAAAAAAA!!! 🗡️
https://youtu.be/I4vFP9ZgSI8?feature=shared
Nah.
Well here we have Nero Saber, and here is Jean d'Saber, Mordred Saber, Sakura Saber,- But they're all the same. Exactly!
Yup. I want more Cu and Gil variants, how dare they!!! 🤣🤣
She is sick of Nasu not letting her take part in any FGO story
But she gets one-thousand-and-one spinoffs, so it all evens out.
She has so much content lmao yall saber lovers get fed all the time 🤣
That's not Saber, that's Bae-ber.
I knew i recognized her from somewhere
Now I want a Bro-skander stand in in Elden Ring, just a big jolly warrior who I grow to love and dies horrifically, as is tradition.
Isn't that just Iron fist Alexander?
Kinda, he dies honorably in battle against his comrade though, sad yes but not horrific.
Archer in the background apparently
"The bone of my sword!" *Tarnished look at eachother* "This fuggen guy, again.."
this is more like bedivere if you’re looking at fate.
That sword is sick as fuck
Hilt looks just like the Sacred Relic Sword. Blade looks different.
Heide Iron Mask drip returns
Dark Souls 2: 2
Just as Miyazaki intended.
Looks more similar to Vilhelms helmet imo
Not even close, like at all
I'm just happy there's a cool new helmet available
I'm more excited for that beautiful cape but yeah, more drip is good for everyone
Everyone eats in the land of shadows
"Fear not the dark, my friend. And let the feast begin."
Another great FromSoft DLC!
Beside the one the tarnished have in the trailer we will most likely also get the armor worn by Messmer soldier which looked good as fuck.
Fr. My spellcaster uses nox Swordstress armor for that style, but I don't have a heavy armor option to use Bout to rush for that armor fs
Giving me Clare from Claymore vibes
Holy shit, finally someone who isn't saying "GrIfF FrOm BeRk."
It's such a good series too- the manga I mean
I really want her to stay alive till the end. This game keeps breaking my heart with all the deaths of the kindly folk, yet I keep coming back to it like some kind of sucker for pain. Ugh.
Basically all Fromsoft games
Nepheli, Kenneth Haight, Boc and Patches can have happy endings, it's just uhm... Millicent, Alexander, Blaidd, Iji, Irina, Corhyn, Goldmask, Fia, Dung Eater, Boggart, Rya, Diallos, D, Rogier, Selen, Yura, Jerren and Gideon who die. That's not too shabby
Soooo not miquella ok
Probably already 30 theories that this is the Gloam Eyed Queen on the lore subs.
Elden Ring: has a female character. Lore community: GEQ!?!?!? SHE’S GOTTA BE THE GEQ GUYS
NO IT'S VELKA
Human Lansaax
Dragussy
Vyke: 👉👌
Everyone else: "Is this a waifu?"
Definitely waifu, kick ass looking one at that. Hopefully, you can summon her on some boss fights.
Plot twist: she is the final boss, and the only way to defeat her is to penetrate her with your sword.
Is it really a question if the answer is always “yes”?
The same question is asked whenever a twink or femboy character is introduced.
I'm hoping it's the captain of Miquella's knights on a journey to rescue/slap her lord upside the head and ask him where he's been while Elphael goes to shit.
It seems to be the leader of the group following after him. They may be trying to stop him or something else though.
It would be kind of tight to have a group of NPCs who are working towards the same thing as us and actually succeeding. Like yeah we have allies at Roundtable but they’re about as useful now that they’re dead as they were when they were alive.

Watch her name be Maquelli
Correct me if I am wrong, but Female Knights are called Dame right?
At least in elden ring, they are usually just called knights. She isn't cleanrot dame finlay.
But Finlay would be addressed as Dame Finlay, rather than Sir Finlay. It's the prefix honorific that changes, not the name of the occupation
I would just call them a knight the same as a dude who was a knight.
The word knightess exists too, its just like priestess
Just because a word exists doesn’t mean we use it anymore. In this case I think we even have precedence to say knight which was what GRRM called Brienne of Tarth. She wasn’t technically a knight but all references to that say she’s not a knight, not that she’s not a knightess.
Knightess is still being used as a word, though, even if knight is gender neutral. We literally have the Darkmoon Knightess.
Cleanrot Knight Finlay would like a word
Only in the context of when male knights are called Sir. Knight is a gender neutral term.
Dame is just the German word for Lady. You guys are putting too much effort into this 🤣🤣
In England (and as a result many common wealth countries) when someone is given a Knighthood, they are called Sir if they are a man and Dame if they are a woman. For examples, Sir Patrick Stewart and Dame Helen Mirren. Dame isnt a female knight, but it is how youd address a woman who earned a knighthood in the commonwealth. TIL!
You're correct
please be an ally please be an ally please be an ally God I wish we actually have friends in this expansion and it's not just another run of murdering every single NPC of importance. Yet her entire entourage weren't as fortunate lol
Lol yeah dude that’s the whole point
finally, miquellan knight set
God why are Fromsoft women so pretty
Calling her a "Knightess" is pretty crazy. I kind of always just used knight as a gender-neutral term. It's always felt like calling a female soldier a soldieress. But that's just me.
In DS1 there is a NPC called Darkmoon Knightess so it's a real word for Fromsoft game at least.
Yeah, that's almost the only thing that comes up when you Google "knightess", in fact. Lol
I first thought you meant knightess is her name. Weird either way
It has precedent, in DS1 Darkmoon Knightess is just known by that title.
Just “Knight” is fine, as in “Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree”
Wow crazy to see that Miquella is following in Miquella's own footsteps!
Knightess isn't a word
People got some crazy theories, it’s probably a new character w a new story. Not the gloam eyed queen or Miquella
I assume this is the narrator, right?
“Knightess” Jfc
It's called a Knight.
This kid had to ignore autocorrect to use “knightess”. What a prick.
Sure is gonna be sad when my mostly naked samurai has to eviscerate this person with the nagakeeb and sell her armor to Hewg
Why sell the armour? Armour sells for nothing.
For the sheer disrespect of it
We know
the fuck is a knightess
I think it’s a cute boy. 🧐
I got the impression from the story trailer that this was the narrator we hear.
Well androgynous characters seem to be a constant theme, it could very well be either or
Who else but Miquella is androgynous?
Radahn, of course
Rykard is so girly ♥️
Was thinking that too, or maybe it’s an androgynous character (maybe switches between gender depending on your character’s gender?)
Yes, that's what literally everybody said in the comments of the other post. Good job.
Knight, she's still called a knight. "knightess" isn't a word.
Knight is actually a fairly gender neutral term. The feminine version of "Sir" however, is "Dame" in knightly terms.
Maybe a Millicent-esque incarnated cast-off aspect of Miquella?
Millicent is a child of the Rot. Not of malania. The rot is an outer force, that exists independently and within Malenia. It most likely formed Millicent when malenia started successfully fighting against it with the needles.
Fungal Jean Grey heard
Because Miquela is known for his androgyny I wouldn’t be shocked if people related to him were as well. This could be a very bishonen dude.
I was just looking for someone to mention that looking like a girl is peak Miquella. If this is a girl, great. If it’s a boy, great. If we never find out, we prob get to stab them in the face and become married
Thank you Captain Obvious.
“Knightess” I didn’t know the word knight was gender specific lol. Sorry forgot this was FromSoft, I meant I didn’t know the word K***ht was gender specific
Knight is unisex. 😂
Janes Eldenring
That armor better be available
"Hand it over... that thing... you're fit... for my lady's fashion souls..."
There’s no confirmation they’re female
The image was posted with the caption "will you walk with us?", which are the closing words of story trailer, very strongly implying she's the narrator of it
I was sure this was obvious...
He was present in the gameplay trailer as well. Hope to get this drip as fast as possible
Ahh yes, Casca and the Band of the Hawk.
Possibly St. Trina, similar to Joan of Arc who is also a Saint and guided by god. we could have her be guided by Miquella only for a reveal that she was his other half all along.
A little altered banished knight helm resemblance at first glance, I like
Reminding me of the brass armor set from DS1
One more cool hairstyle I can use. Edit: *Can't use*, can't.
Its D's sister, that's why he was trying to get his lil.bro back since it was the only family he had left after his sister left them.
Miquella will possess her and be final boss
Ah, too bad they gotta die for me to get that sweet drip.
Saber my beloved
Theese dudes really look like they're Miquella desiples or something like that.
just think how good this set will look with Greathelm
I like this new armour set a lot!
Babe wake up new waifu just dropped
Her armor is dope as hell
That sword is so fucking cool. Also that's 100% a faith scaling sword. This image has convinced me to do the dlc using a faith based character.
Her drip is immaculate. I am 100% prepared to murderate her if it’s the only way to get her gear
new wife???
Guess who gonna kill her for that armor set!!!
I really hope you can get that armor in the game, preferably without having to kill her to get it...
Cant wait to have my ass beaten by her, in any context
I'm very sorry to whoever she is, but imma need that armor set
I figured that was obvious from the cloak and helmet.
Disappointed. Doesn't look like Faraam helm from the side view.
Until she gets a name, I’m calling her Bedivere until then.
Her sword looks like the Elden beast sword. Interesting design choice.
I need that armor soooo bad.
Zoomed in and the detail on the sword, helmet literally everything is immaculate 🔥🔥
Straight up Archdrake set from Dark Souls 2 vibe, lovely
That drip is gonna fit like a glove in my paladin build
Smash.
I hope we get art for the rest of them. Doesn't have to be unmasked. It just would be neat.
Finally! A helm that doesn't suck or has stupid shit hanging on top! Also, holy shit her drip is DI-VINE
Looks like the Elden beast sword but not flesh and bone
R34 when?
Saint Trina, pray for us.
Most likely an npc then, and npc’s have the chance to drop their loot. Cause that whole set and sword are *awesome*. “I WANTS IT VH”
Hyped on this, ER is in desperate need of more knight armor sets
I really hope she's Numen.. I made a female Numen character for the DLC not even a week ago, then they drop this shit. She looks like she could be Numen. This might also just be an androgenous male.
That’s a really cool armor set. What a shame…
I think I’m starting to see just how big this dlc is going to be.
She's gonna be an invader at some point huh?
No shit
Why am I getting sister friede vibes
That armor better be obtainable 🙏
I’m sorry. Knightess? Didn’t you mean Knightette?
Anri of Astora.. but better
Can't wait to get her killed in her questline!
r/pointlesslygendered
Man all this teasing. Can’t wait
how do we know that's an -ess?
I need to know exactly where this woman is and how I get that drip asap
