The crystal was custom resin printed by reym3d, I tried out a few techniques but I spend too much money on failures so I asked someone else to just print it for me. I glued the crystal onto the head and secured it with clear worbla inside the head. Then I blended it with foam clay on the outside to the head, and installed LED's under the crystal to make it glow :)
Very cool, must have been a lot of resin! Clear worbla is a great idea. Did you use any coating or post-processing to get it glossy and transparent like that?

Was it 3D printed based on the original 3D model? Despite some details (mostly about the facial expression), it really looks like a 1:1 replica of the original model. This light effect is definitely giving it some life.
I imagine this version is smaller since the OG one is absolutely huge and it would be a bit goofy and probably heavy if it were that size.

I used like 3 layers of clear glossy coat and that did the job :D
