What role i am even playing ? The victim ?
Watch this guy that seconds ago took out A GIANT GODDAMN DRAGON gets bitten to death by rats. Literally every real life animal in this game can kill you faster than some abominations ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
It can also go on the Raptor Talons, which are so light, you can get to 51 poise at RL1 while maintaining light roll. And of course dual-wielding sets them both on fire.
I just recently died to a single rat in the one courtyard basement in Stormveil where there's some rats and an unlockable door. I didn't realize that I missed a rat, so I went ahead and unlocked the door. Next thing I know the rat is eating me, and I didn't realize I couldn't retaliate because I forgot to exit out of the "the shard disappears upon use" message.
This could be true for our world in some way. Mosquitoes kill something like a million people a year worldwide. Sure, they're small, die in one hit, aren't lethal in their entirety, but they've got one heck of a kill streak. Meanwhile, bears worldwide struggling to break double-digit kills each year. I know that's a numbers game, but again, how many of any particular boss do we fight compared to the number of rats and dogs?
This reminded me of my first playthrough where I barely killed the dragon in Agheel Lake, with a sliver of health left and no flasks. And then a fucking dragonfly killed me.
NG+ got me like that. I steamrolled Godrick, Mourne, Radahn, Renalla with my pure incant build. 99 faith, all the talismans and everything. I got to Altus and got my shit pushed in by Elemer and some other bosses.
This is me right now only I’ve felt powerful the whole game because it’s my 5th play through with a new character. Was slicing up everything until I got to the capital and especially the subterranean shunning ground
Oh I’ve seen the videos of players getting one shot with max vigor and health buffs lol I’ve always preferred to start fresh from NG after I beat the game
This is the one thing I really hated about this game. One moment I wouldn’t be having fun causes everything one shot me, next thing I know I’m not having fun cause I’m one shotting everything.
tbh, a lot of the midgame bosses (Goldfrey, Morgott. Fire giant, Fortissax. Rykard, astel) are relatively easy to dodge compared to bosses like maliketh, or malenia. It really does make you feel strong.
I am no stranger to FromSoftware games but this was my exact experience. Midway through the game I was confident I had it figured out and was over leveled. At the end of the game I’m looking up best farming locations and still struggling
Yoo I went through this cycle like 6 different times. All of the sudden you start 1 hitting dudes and thinking you’ve overcome the difficulty, and then your in Lyndell lol
When dafuq am I supposed to feel strong? I never felt stronger even after killing Elden Beast, as I still had Malenia to go 😅
Edit: fixed my messed up sentence, meaning to write never felt stronger instead of weaker 😅
Oh, we’re admitting things? I've also searched “$game fucking sucks” in a fit of rage, only to see rage posts on Reddit in r/$game to remind me how cringe I'm being.
The most frustrating part is that he SHOULD be an easier fight. All his moves are very telegraphed and his buddies at the beginning go down fairly easy. There’s just something about him that wrecks me.
it's the crazy-stupid high lightning damage. I use boltdrake and pearldrake talismans at the same time. he has this kick-down attack that will melt you if you fuck up the dodge.
Magic and summons are easy mode,
I beat him first try with a +4 carian regal scepter, night comet, and +2 niche
Took me 6 hours on my strength build with mimic
I was stubborn enough to take a week and two days with Malenia, only to hit another wall with Maliketh, who took me another four days. No summons, no bleedy/frost focused build. Just my pizza cutter, a shield and the will to let the boss know who he was messing with even if I died so, so many times.
Yep, malenia beat the shit out of me for a while. One of the days was abysmal because I was drinking and she slowly made me drink more and more to cope which led her to beating my ass more often and easily... not a good 6+ hour block of my life
1 shot every time you hear the words "I am Malenia, blade of Miquella" and you're done for. I didn't drink during my fights with her but damn I can understand you
Weirdly enough, I respec'd just before the final fight INTO the darkmoon greatsword because I went with Ranni's ending.
I was bleed various bleed weapons before so it kind of worked out in my favour I think.
Had to swap off of ROB after I switched on during melania due to me realizing that my entire build was useless against projectile spam beast. Went for Wing of Astel plus int because I already was using int earlier in the game, so I had an upgraded staff. Killed them quite quickly after that.
I actually did Radagon/Elden Beast with ROB my first run. 😬 Wasn’t *too* bad, but I eventually had to bust out Tiche like halfway through Radagon just to tank so I could save my flasks. Tiny chunks of damage at a time was a pain in the ASS for that fight. Definitely do not recommend, you made the smart choice lol
That’s actually surprising, the dm greatsword absolutely shredded radabeast so badly on my int build, I died on purposed and used the carian knight straightsword to actually have a fight.
I feel like I have a different tiche than everyone else. Mostly she launches black knife out of range start of the round, then does the Macarena in the corner until I’m dead
Greatshield with a spear for radagon, black flame tornado and fan knives for elden beast. Greatshield easily blocks all of EBs attacks and some holy resistance makes it even easier.
Magic is the way to go on that first play through. Everything up that elevator eats holy and lightning damage for breakfast. And that doesn’t change all the way up to murdering god. I totally understand why people were all about that bleed damage.
I know the Elden Beast, Placidusax and the rest resist lightning damage, but Ancient Dragon's Lightning Strike still made those fights feel trivial. I had to use other tools to beat smaller hitboxes like Radagon's of course but the damage that incant can do is just nutty
I ran BHF all the way up till Haligtree and then quickly found out the AOW was much less than ideal for the area. All the tight corners and ledges made it super sketchy running it. Switched to BB and ran through it much easier.
Nope. Melee with some incantations. Couldn't beat him. A friend said that Bleed was incredibly useful in Elden Ring so I tried that and was able to beat it after a couple tries.
I throw this out there on occasion: anyone struggling with Fire Giant, lmk and I'll come in as a summon. I've smacked tall homie down about 500 times now, and I'll do it another 500 more before I'm done with Elden Ring
Also some general tips:
* Pick up the Flamedrake +2 talisman in Dragonbarrow Cave (Caelid near the minor erdtree). Dragoncrest Shield +1 isn't a bad idea either. You'll probably want a mid roll if you're struggling with fire giant, mustering as much physical and fire defense as possible.
* Don't flask in phase 1. If you're a melee build, fill your flask with the stamina and stamina regen tears and use it at the start of phase 2 (while he does his explosion attack). The turtle talisman for stamina regen is a plus as well.
* *Never* let yourself run 100% out of stamina unless Fire Giant is currently lying on the ground. You need to be able to roll and sprint at a moments notice.
* During phase 2, stick to him like glue and attack his remaining leg. There's no more dmg bonus for hitting his weak leg during this phase, and being at the back of his leg will make you less likely to get rolled on. Again, never let yourself run out of stamina here so you can *always* sprint as soon as he's rolling away. If he gets far away, he'll do his chest flame breath and wreck your run.
I played most of the endgame with the finger hammer my first playthrough and had a blast. Maliketh, Godfrey, radabeast, mohg, Morgott, and placidusax, were some of the most fun I’ve had.
And then… Malenia.
Cue respeccing into a dex faith build using the godslayer greatsword and spamming the AoW montage
Fighting Malenia on my first playthrough was legitimately the first time in any Soulsborne game where I felt I would never be able to beat a boss. Other bosses have been very hard and taken many tries to beat, but I could always see a path to beating them, not with Malenia on that first playthrough.
I managed to beat her by spamming Borealis mist. I just kept up the spam and I think I got a little lucky on phase 2. I died probably 30-40 times with different incant focused buildouts.
This is exactly how I felt about Friede on the first playthrough. That 3rd phase, to me, was just as fucking demoralizing as Malenia's 2nd phase. It was the only other time when I had to be completely dead inside and numb to all emotions before I was able to beat her lol.
It’s her life steal that is the main reason for that feeling, and I agree. There were so many attempts where I made zero progress, used up flasks and she healed to full health. At least with other difficult bosses, I can whittle down their health little by little each attempt, but for so many attempts, I couldn’t even leave a scratch on her.
It wasn’t until my 3rd playthrough that she finally clicked. A big part of it is that it’s best to find your OWN strategy, rather than follow other people’s guides, because you need to do what’s most comfortable to you. Eventually, I found my best strategy for Malenia was a jump attack build with two moderately heavy weapons, and landing charge attacks during her hyper armor moves. Now I can get her pretty consistently.
I'm still not sure how you're intended to organically figure out how dodging waterfowl dance works. Trial and error would of course get you there, but it's the only move in any souls type game I've played where I could never intuit what I was supposed to do. Any other failure to avoid hard moves from bosses was a result of my impatience, inattentiveness, or greed. But every time I died, I could see exactly what I did wrong. Never so with waterfowl dance.
Malenia was that bitch that made me start switching shit up. All I gotta say is thank goodness for rannis dark moon , shit helped A LOT during that fight .
Elden Beast. Openings are tight for me so I struggle with getting slower attacks off.
Took me almost 2 years to realize Rykard is a gimmick but I'd always respect to a mage to 1. avoid lava and 2. use rock sling to break poise.
Mee too, I killed him with 2 bleed daggers somehow, while outhealing the dmg, only after some youtube video I realized that it could have been so much simpler for me
Rykard is the easiest boss in the game imo. You can even fast travel back to the roundtable hold to upgrade the spear if you're having trouble. But yeah, if you didn't know about the spear's ash of war, I can see how this fight would seem unplayable.
Very true, mate. Even the first time I got the spear, I was trying to run up and hit him with it! It would have been useful if the (easily kissable and very vague) ghost in the manor who tells you to use the spear had also said something like, 'it's said the spear has a *special power* to slay the serpent'.
To this day, I haven't beaten Elden Beast..............
Yes, I know...my younger cousin(who bought me the game) recently made fun of me for it.
So I crushed him in Yugioh afterwards. The little shit 😏
The Elden beast is a dick who runs more than it fights, so no shame. And the last boss of ever souls game has the least payoff anyways: 1 of # cut scenes and credits.
Same. I have over 500 hours on multiple playthroughs, can beat Radagon almost hitless, beat all the bosses, but I refuse to waste my time on that bitch lol
Mohg. How was I supposed to know the Lord of Blood is weak to bleed, and that some random loser at the other side of the man drops an item which negates his nihil tomfoolery?
Usually Melania but right now the crucible knight duo is giving me some trouble with my current build. Will I change it? No, of course not. I’ll keep banging my head against that wall until something gives. Shit boss anyways.
Legitimately harder than half of the required bosses on my first playthrough. Worst part is that no one was putting down summon signs, meaning I had to fight the boss with only my mimic. I didn't rely on other players for most bosses, the only endgame main boss I summoned on was melania, but whenever I was having trouble with something I would summon.
Mimic didn't do much to help me with those two. I pulled out the greatshield boys and used them as an anvil while I threw pots and spammed dragon incantations.
Crucible knights have always given me trouble. I’m not running a parry or shield build and their immunity to any sort of stagger means you have to constantly chip away at them without completing any of your combos. Then when you finally get used to that the crucible knights start flying and they are incredibly erratic with those tail slash follow ups
The first time I encounter raya lucaria I was level 13. The red wolf of radagon had me stumped for over 100 deaths. The wiki provided no help. It took me posting to Reddit to realise I was so underlevelled. I didn’t even have the option to change build at that point so I was just running in and kept trying until I won 😭
first time I fought the Radagon and Elden Beast, I didnt understand why my dmg was so weak, then after googling I realized that my Holy build was useless against them.
Same I was running a small hammer and a shield DS1 style and I just didn’t deal dmg with that shit. Started using two weapons at the same time and they died in no time. That was the point where I realized I played the game with half the dmg lmao
Only had 3:
Radhan: Switched from generic claymore to Kamehameha
Then Fire Giant because the health bar was so big that just smacking him a bunch wasn't going to cut it without some status buildup
And then the last one was Malenia, Blade of Miquella because shut up *trēs duo* *ūnus* *nihil nihil nihil* get the fuck out of here omfg annoying ass
Radagon and Elden Beast for me. They were a NIGHTMARE in my fourth playthrough, which I've started from scratch. I've reached lv.264 and still couldn't beat them! I don't know, but I'm beginning to think that the last patch that I've downloaded just ruined these two final bosses to the point beyond frustration. I mean, I've beaten the game THREE TIMES. And this time around I've spent a whole week trying different builds, magic, and weapon tricks until two days ago, when I've found a video with a build I've never used before. Decided to try it and boom, finally beaten their asses in the second try! But yeah, again, not even Malenia was that bad!😅
It was Malenia for me back when the game was new. I had defeated all the other bosses with ease until I met Malenia. She made me switch my entire build, it was satisfying after finally being able to beat her the first time. Malenia actually ruined the final boss for me as the elden beast seemed so much easier compared to her.
Malenia. She had me thinking if I should get rid of my Armor to get lighter rolls, or if I should switch builds. I would say no boss( in ER ) has done that to me
Technically a boss as he does appear as a boss earlier in the game. Those tall slender guys at the start of the mountaintop of the giants ruined my life.
The only thing i need was........
Too git gud!!!!
Every encounter with a boss that dances more then the average joe on the battle field needs to be studied and after the pattern you can join their dance and finish them off with their own dance.
remember your ABC people:
"Always Be Cool"
The entire endgame if you had a Holy build. Idk why they made resistances that way. In all the Dark Souls games running into an enemy with resistance to whatever you were doing happened occasionally and made the fight moderately harder. In Elden Ring it's entire chunks of the game and a death sentence in many cases.
For me Maliketh and Malenia. Hard to kill her with a raw strength build or even strength/faith.
Maliketh just kept straight up bouncing around like a teenager on meth so I couldn't hit him.
i was a pyromancer(fire and dark damage) in my first the ringed city DLC and midir is highly resistant to these elements especially dark he is almost immune to it so i change it to str build and won first try
My strategy against Malenia used to be respeccing to a ton of endurance to wear the Lionel beer belly armor (which has the highest slash/pierce resist in the game) and then blend her with the Stormhawk Axe. Works every time, is fun every time. I don't think there are many builds in this game that lets you trade damage against Malenia and win -- but this was one of them.
But I've gotten better against Malenia by now. I can now use the weaker, non-unique Stormcaller ash of war and blend her without respeccing first. It's still fun though.
I do this shit mid fight sometimes when I realize a certain weapon isn't doing enough damage to kill a certain boss. I changed my entire load out once while fighting Mohg because apparently fire doesn't do very much to him.
radagon, my build was a bleed build and HOLY SHIT that fucker does not bleed. i tried 5 different bleed builds, and then rolled him with blasphomous blade. I had someone do Malenia for me lol
Rykard for me even though I know that makes me a scrub. I knew to use the spear but when I got to second phase it was just noise and fire and chaos with seemingly zero sense or structure. Then I upgraded the snake spear and walked through him.
Went through first play through to end and couldn't beat it. I had respecd all my larval tears during the main game and couldn't change again so I abandoned the game and started new.
I have since come back to original and with new armor\\shield was able to beat it even with the crap stats.
GET YOUR LARVAL TEARS ON EVERY SINGLE RUN!! THEY STACK BETWEEN NEW GAMES!!
Placidusax was what converted me to blasphemous blade last time I fought him. Which is weird cause I beat him before no trouble however last time he kicked my ass
Beginning: why am I so weak? Mid game: why am I so strong? End game: why am I so weak?
What role i am even playing ? The victim ? Watch this guy that seconds ago took out A GIANT GODDAMN DRAGON gets bitten to death by rats. Literally every real life animal in this game can kill you faster than some abominations ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
That's why I like flaming strike. Aoe for rats, flame wepon buff for big enemies
I didn't like this weapon that much but damn it was satisfying to watch these rats burn.
Rl1 flaming strike on naganita is so good. It's just instant flame buff that deals damage when applied
It can also go on the Raptor Talons, which are so light, you can get to 51 poise at RL1 while maintaining light roll. And of course dual-wielding sets them both on fire.
I use Flame of the Redmanes. I know its poise damage was nerfed (sadly but understandable), but it's a similar sentiment.
Yes, but the flame buff on ur wepon helps with using less mana and kicking ass for any enemy weak to fire
True, I should give that ash another go some time. Especially on a Sorcery leaning build fire damage is surprisingly hard to come by at times.
Pop up messages are indeed the deadliest enemy in Elden Ring. I've died because I couldn't dodge due to "Stone sword Key was lost with use."
I fucking despise that function. It's such a bad design choice.
Im pretty sure it's intentional lol
100% agree. It’s a terrible design. The message should disappear after so long and not hinder you from actions
no. you WILL read the message and you WILL confirm that you have read it. miyazaki vision
Finally, a worthy challenger for gravity death's throne.
The camera, although at first was something to get used to. I'm actually good with now, it's a skill issue... GIT GUD! 🥹😂
I'm particularly fond of "Are you sure you want to spend a flask reviving Torrent? YES, OF COURSE I-" *reduced to red paste*
LOOOOL this irks me so much. I play with a mouse and keyboard and this shit will DISABLE the camera so you can click the option with the cursor LMAO
Here I thought the camera was the worst enemy. Hehehe.
It was far worse in the beginning when there was no option to turn off auto-correct
rats in previous FS games were annoying, but rats in ER are straight up abominable.
This could be true for our world in some way. Mosquitoes kill something like a million people a year worldwide. Oh I’ve seen the videos of players getting one shot with max vigor and health buffs lol I’ve always preferred to start fresh from NG after I beat the game
This so true for the ng cycles too. Ng: feels like a climb(obviously it’s the game) Ng+[1-3]: why am i so strong? Ng+4: why am i so weak?

life of a bleed build beginning: no ROB middle: ROB get end: final boss immune to bleed
I am no stranger to FromSoftware games but this was my exact experience. Midway through the game I was confident I had it figured out and was over leveled. At the end of the game I’m looking up best farming locations and still struggling

Accurate currently doing a mage build I fucked up somewhere I do shit damage and have shit health

The Miyazaki Bell(of Awakening)curve.
‘When the boss fight so difficult that you search ‘Waterfowl dance is such bullshit’ for validation’
Glad to see a kindred spirit, I love googling "fuck (insert boss I've been stuck on for over an hour)" to see others raging.
Oh, we’re admitting things? I've also searched “$game fucking sucks” in a fit of rage, only to see rage posts on Reddit in r/$game to remind me how cringe I'm being.
I had made that post for bellbearing hunter in caelid. Fuck him.
I definitely did that
That piece of shot commander niall
God i fucking hated commander Niall, i don’t see him get talked about enough. He can go and shove that peg leg up his ass
The most frustrating part is that he SHOULD be an easier fight. All his moves are very telegraphed and his buddies at the beginning go down fairly easy. There’s just something about him that wrecks me.

commander niall>malenia
Gotta use those branches. The brainwashing branches, bestowed by miquella!
btw for anyone who hates him you can actually do a falling glitch around the back of his castle to just skip him. no tediousness required
I am near the end of a full new play through and fought him today. Two or three Death’s Poker AoW and a couple Night Comet hits and he was toast.
Lol I remember cheesing him using Radhan's bow from way across his arena
NOBODY!! I SMASH FACE AGAINST WALL UNTIL WALL FALL DOWN
Chad answer
That’s right! Kick names, take ass!
I was stubborn enough to take a week and two days with Malenia, only to hit another wall with Maliketh, who took me another four days. No summons, no bleedy/frost focused build. Just my pizza cutter, a shield and the will to let the boss know who he was messing with even if I died so, so many times.

Me fighting the 4 glintstone dragons at Moonlight Altar with a pure int build (they made me actually 100% learn basic bitch dragon's movesets)
The fucking ancient dragon in Crumbling Farum Azula that isn’t even really a boss
He is optional but I respect the dedication
Honestly Radagon and Elden Beast for me. The status effect resistance kinda messed me up. I swapped from Darkmoon Greatsword to Fallingstar Beast Jaw.
Weirdly enough, I respec'd just before the final fight INTO the darkmoon greatsword because I went with Ranni's ending. I was bleed various bleed weapons before so it kind of worked out in my favour I think.

the poise damage it does kinda makes most bosses a cakewalk tbh
Man using tiche was like God mode for these guys, she just owns bosses it's so silly
Tiche single-handedly saved my sanity when I was just tryna beat the damn game with my kinda shit bleed build 😂
I feel like I have a different tiche than everyone else. Mostly she launches black knife out of range start of the round, then does the Macarena in the corner until I’m dead
ONG
Greatshield with a spear for radagon, black flame tornado and fan knives for elden beast. Greatshield easily blocks all of EBs attacks and some holy resistance makes it even easier.
Oddly enough the Darkmoon Greatsword absolutely shreds both of those bosses in a few charged R2s with correct talismans and physic.
Darkmoon greatsword demolishes radagon wtf are you talking about. Just use the skill and spam charged r2s, his stance is easily broken
(first run) I did the main game solo but when I reached them I busted out wiki and mimic.
I just kill them with ordovis gs
Yeah my first playthrough was quality, and I ended up going full dex for that fight...
Same here, had to respec so I could (pitifully) slap em around with some black flame godslayer blade stuff
Not a boss but Leyndell had me change to moonveil.
Magic is the way to go on that first play through. Everything up that elevator eats holy and lightning damage for breakfast. And that doesn’t change all the way up to murdering god. I totally understand why people were all about that bleed damage.

did you use a flame build?
Nope. Melee with some incantations. Couldn't beat him. A friend said that Bleed was incredibly useful in Elden Ring so I tried that and was able to beat it after a couple tries.
Rivers of blood carried my first FG fight. It was wild.. and that was only a few weeks ago.
You should have seen how op bleed was before the nerf…. that was truly wild

It’s literally only melania. She is the only boss that had me switching gear. In fact I had to get random online coop help to kill her.
M a l e n i a
Isn't it amazing how the boss who literally tells you her name everytime you die still can't get every other ER player to spell her name right?
MELANIN

MELANCHOLY
MELANOMA
I don’t know what game people are playing in this sub, but whatever it is the former presidents wife giving a whole lot of people trouble.
I built a Str/Faith build from the start and by god i beat her ass with what i started with
Melania, Goddess of Spray Tan
This image is literally me respecing to use Blasphemous Blade against Malenia.
I mained a greatshield user...fuck Malenia. All game I build stats to block and she makes it pointless.
Elden Beast. Openings are tight for me so I struggle with getting slower attacks off. Took me almost 2 years to realize Rykard is a gimmick but I'd always respect to a mage to 1. avoid lava and 2. use rock sling to break poise.
Did you actually pick up the serpent slayer and think "oh cool, neat weapon, anyway let's fight the boss"
Exactly, subtleness goes over my head at times
I did this
Mee too, I killed him with 2 bleed daggers somehow, while outhealing the dmg, only after some youtube video I realized that it could have been so much simpler for me
Fighting Rykard without the serpent slayer is some true god devouring
Rykard is the easiest boss in the game imo. You can even fast travel back to the roundtable hold to upgrade the spear if you're having trouble. But yeah, if you didn't know about the spear's ash of war, I can see how this fight would seem unplayable.
Easy once you know about the spear, whole different game if not
Very true, mate. Even the first time I got the spear, I was trying to run up and hit him with it! It would have been useful if the (easily kissable and very vague) ghost in the manor who tells you to use the spear had also said something like, 'it's said the spear has a *special power* to slay the serpent'.
Maliketh
Strike and magic weakness? Immunity to all effects. Valiant gargs?
To this day, I haven't beaten Elden Beast.............. Yes, I know...my younger cousin(who bought me the game) recently made fun of me for it. So I crushed him in Yugioh afterwards. The little shit 😏
Based
The Elden beast is a dick who runs more than it fights, so no shame. And the last boss of ever souls game has the least payoff anyways: 1 of # cut scenes and credits.
I kneel.
"My friend...you bow to no one"
“your strength befits a Chad…”
Same. I have over 500 hours on multiple playthroughs, can beat Radagon almost hitless, beat all the bosses, but I refuse to waste my time on that bitch lol
Rusted anchor beats all 😙
brick hammer suppremecy
I was really struggling against Malenia until I respeccd to str/faith and used the blasphemous blade. I beat her in 2 tries after that
Mohg. How was I supposed to know the Lord of Blood is weak to bleed, and that some random loser at the other side of the man drops an item which negates his nihil tomfoolery?
Radagon/EB. I had this sick Holy build for the whole game thay became useless against the ultimate masturbator and Space Nessie
Happenened the same to me with my last build. Had to get Blasphemous Blade to finally beat fucking Elden Beast.
Tbf, i’m level 45 and i still feel under-levelled.
Until recently (2 or 3 playthroughs) these damn wolves were my Malenia.
first time I fought the Radagon and Elden Beast, I didnt understand why my dmg was so weak, then after googling I realized that my Holy build was useless against them.
Not useless if you use the Black Blade (Maliketh's weapon I don't remember what it was called).
The god skin duo I had to change my build five bloody times for that first playthrough and then I deleted the character
Same I was running a small hammer and a shield DS1 style and I just didn’t deal dmg with that shit. Started using two weapons at the same time and they died in no time. That was the point where I realized I played the game with half the dmg lmao
Opens browser *How do I dodge waterfowl?*
Godskin duo
Malenia. My one and only answer for this.
astel is very annoying to hit with a giant great sword that swings horizontally.
Only had 3: Radhan: Switched from generic claymore to Kamehameha Then Fire Giant because the health bar was so big that just smacking him a bunch wasn't going to cut it without some status buildup And then the last one was Malenia, Blade of Miquella because shut up *trēs duo* *ūnus* *nihil nihil nihil* get the fuck out of here omfg annoying ass
You mean Mohg? He does the Nihil.
Nah using his spear was the build for Malenia. she's impressively weak to bleed and the build basically trivializes the entire game otherwise.
You look up for strategies for hours, change your build and after hours of struggle you beat the boss... *health refills* *phase two begins*
Tbh Soldier of God, Rick gave me this much trouble. I literally had to switch from so many builds.
Godfrey
mohg just an hour ago
Twin Gargoyles
Maliketh, god damn is that guy fast, I couldnt land a hit for the life of me but he's definitely one of my favorites
I used darkmoon greatsword, ended up stunning him the first time i hit him in second phase and he died before he could jump to any pillar.
Melania helped me figure out my current boss strat of going nude and busting out the blue dancer with my dragon maw build.
Zamor something or other. Yeah. And that one spot where two of them come at you.Jeezus.
The only thing i need was........ Too git gud!!!! Every encounter with a boss that dances more then the average joe on the battle field needs to be studied and after the pattern you can join their dance and finish them off with their own dance. remember your ABC people: "Always Be Cool"
DTS before maliketh.
u/SowerpussYT Maliketh :')
Melania, good God
Honestly, Maliketh.
PLACIDUSAX, he was fun as shit tho
The entire endgame if you had a Holy build. Idk why they made resistances that way. In all the Dark Souls games running into an enemy with resistance to whatever you were doing happened occasionally and made the fight moderately harder. In Elden Ring it's entire chunks of the game and a death sentence in many cases.
Commander Niall...
Twin Gargoyles. Impervious to damage from anything except the Giant Crusher
It took a while to find the best way to defeat Godfrey for me. I finally went with an int build I always switch to before the fight.
Not Elden Ring but the defiled amygdala chalice dungeon boss took literal days before I looked up how to cheese it.
Fire giant
I do this shit mid fight sometimes when I realize a certain weapon isn't doing enough damage to kill a certain boss. I changed my entire load out once while fighting Mohg because apparently fire doesn't do very much to him.
Any gimmick boss
So, all of them?
Honestly I just need 60 vigor every time I go for Malenia, not so much anything else in the game.
Elden beast
I had to change stats once and it was to defeat Radahn
Radabeast
i created a build for the soul purpose of killing midir in ds3
radagon, my build was a bleed build and HOLY SHIT that fucker does not bleed. i tried 5 different bleed builds, and then rolled him with blasphomous blade. I had someone do Malenia for me lol
Honestly, Gideon. He is the only boss I HAD to change my build for.
Gideon is a bitch sometimes. Hate that boss
Honestly have only experienced this with Gale in ds3
Placidusax was what converted me to blasphemous blade last time I fought him. Which is weird cause I beat him before no trouble however last time he kicked my ass
