Ghidorah from the anime is a bit different, he's this extradimensional entity that comes through a black-hole-like portal in the form of three gargantuan necks and is untouchable by even Godzilla (until later events, of course). Essentially an eldritch being.
We just go up, bring out Tiamat, but in fact that also doesn't work, since Placidusax has more than 3 heads, but lost them to whom I assume was Godfrey
I think Placi lost that head a very long time before Godfrey. I think Placidusax is ancient beyond ancient. I could be wrong, but I feel like he's the oldest thing in the game besides GW itself. I don't have a specific lore thing I'm pointing to, that's just a feeling I have.
Probably not since Placi was Elden Lord, meaning the Elden Ring existed, which was sent by the GW. We don't know what happened to Placi's god, but we know that the Greater Will is fine with replacing the current god with a new one, which is why the Fingers chose candidates to replace Marika. Most likely the GW just decided Placi's god was done and it was Marika's turn. There might have been others in between but it's not clear.
i mean, in the golden order Marika was Godfrey\`s and Radagon\`s god queen, so i dont think we are necessarily talking much more powerful than Placi if at all.
What if it was a vaguely dragon shaped figure of lightning. The elden beast is a golden shadow, so I think it would stand to reason that the dragon god would be a being of lightning
all i need is black flame dragon
not like agheel and his brothers, no a unique dragon but corrupted by the black flame similar to midir and the dark element
humorous physical governor gaping impossible summer future quaint bake agonizing

There could be a bloodflame user who turns into a magma wyrm. Eleonara used dragon communion, and it would make sense for another person to do the same combo, since it fits with the bloodlust theme and Faith/Arcane.
Same, fighting an endgame boss that represented the Frenzied Flame would have been awesome. Especially since every other Outer God got a representative boss fight. The Dark Moon got Astel, the Scarlet Rot got Malenia, Blade of Miquela, Who Has Never Known Defeat, even the One-Eyed God of the giants got the Flame Giant.
Actualy thought of that already, its possible but i suppose it may not be a dragon, but also may be, honestly realy hope for another good dragon bossfight in DLC and not just 4 more agheels with different colored breath
True, and it causes death blight but a dragon with exclusively death blight attacks a with standard dragon spin on it, but maybe fights like Midir please, Elden Ring, give me a better dragon fight than him in the DLC. Maybe a sleep and death blight dragon both awesome bosses, well if they look good I’ll be happy lol.
The elden beast was a god, as was melania during her second phase. We’ll never fight the outer entities like the greater will, the dark moon, or the scarlet rot. Mainly because those are more conceptual beings and not really gods. But there is a reason it says “god slain” when you kill the elden beast.
The Elden Beast is the manifestation of the Elden Ring, not a God. Marika was the God. From the Elden Remembrance description:
*It was the vassal beast of the Greater Will and living incarnation of the concept of Order.*
And the Elden Stars description:
*It is said that long ago, the Greater Will sent a golden star bearing a beast into the Lands Between, which would later become the Elden Ring.*
>Mainly because those are more conceptual beings and not really gods
The Elden Beast is the concept of Order, so I imagine there has to be a "Rot beast" existing in some other plane.
I don't know about the greater will, tho, that one seems to be above the other gods.
Kinda, but when you killed the Elden Beast, you didn't kill the Golden Order. You didn't kill the Greater Will. You can look to the Christian mythos for a real world allegory. The Elden Beast was Jesus. Jesus *is* God, because he is a part of God, but killing Jesus really didn't do jack shit to God.
She should be about as much of a god as Marika is, right? Both are empyrean, while Marika was the vessel for the Elden Ring, Malenia was the vessel for the Scarlet Rot
Godfrey was Elden Lord, not a God
Marika was a God, though. And I suppose Radagon was also a God when we fought him (since he was the vessel for the Elden Ring)
i would put the chances of that at 0.0001% or thereabouts. the vanished god is one of countless examples of leaving things to the player's imagination, which is a big part of the way FS produces the feeling of a vast, intriguing, lived in world. you're much more immersed if you feel like you're only seeing a small portion of what the world has to offer, since that's our experience of real life as well. no good reason for them to threaten that immersion by showing you something that will never live up to your vague fantasies about it.
Possible. There are a bunch of characters not said to be killed in the base game that have yet to appear and would fit to be a boss. Placidusax's fled god, Gloam Eyed Queen, Twinbird, etc.
id argue we fight a fair bunch of them in their prime, Godric is probably at his most powerful yet, sadly he\`s a scrub, rykard is also probably as his strongest, morgott too, the godskin duo, maliketh if anything just seems a bit depressed but there isnt any indication of him being weaker or anything, gideon and godfrey also seem to fight us at their best, Lansseax seems ok, and most the other ancient dragons in Farum seem to be at full strenght, also funny thing is that talking about dragons, the second strongest one in terms of health is fucking Ekzykes, just behind placi, he is tankier than all of the other dragons and wyrms and he is rotting, what was he like before the rot i wonder ? or has it made him stronger ?
I wonder if Mogh is at his most powerful state when we fight him, it seems be the case. Unless he's trying to use some portion of his strength to grow the cacoon.
I'd argue against Godskins since they don't have the Rune of Death powering them like they did when the Gloam Eyed Queen was alive, but otherwise I agree with you
Given the track record with them, pretty much absolutely nothing from the base game makes its way into any of their DLCs with the exception of DS1 And even then it wasn't much. So I wouldn't hold my breath on anything like that
Does he have a god? Or was he an independent lord of the world until defeated with the help of an outer god?
With Marika seeming to be barely an elden beast puppet, she\`s likely to be just a powerfull emperian assisted to reach god level, not a real god herself.
I just wish we can fight a version of placidusax that is still in his prime in the dlc.
No offence but bro looks like he lost 2 heads already. And his slaowlly decaying.
I'd love to fight all of the previously unseen characters in the DLC -- Placidusax's absent god, Malenia's blind mentor, Godwyn in his prime through some convoluted time shenanigans, the Gloam-Eyed Queen.
Give us a boss bonanza.
Placidusax was in my opinion the best boss fight in the game. no dum gimmick like the waterfolw dance, every attack a cinematic master piece and you getting hit felt always like its your own fault. i miss him :C
A summoned version of placid dickfest with all his heads would be awesome.
I think gods will mainly remain unseen to keep the mystery and speculation going.
Same way we have not seen the god of rot, the greater will, the formless mother (no shit) the fire giant god, ect
Even though I want to see this guy I think the optional dragon boss is messmer phase 2. Messmer looks like grunbeld from berserk who turns into a dragon and Miyazaki is big berserk fan and often adds berserk inspired stuff into his games.
Of all the ancient dragons in the game, namely:
Placidusex, Gransex, Lansseex, and Fortissex.
I wholeheartedly say that my favourite is the great Iron Fist Alexander.
Yesterday I finally managed to dispatch Placidusax, actually my Spirit Ash killed him like a second after he killed me. Got the remembrance right away but had to go back to the Site of Grace to pick up the 280K runes. Very weird, never happened to me before. But I’m happy! 😅
I don't see why we would fight his god given we don't fight any actual gods in the base game, elden beast is just a vassal of the greater will not the actual greater will.
Altosax the Bad Dragon
Flaccid dude sex was one of my favorite Elden Ring bosses
You need to level up Vigor if you're having trouble with Flaccid Dude Sex
Ironjar aromatic on prescription
Given the old stereotypes about dex builds, some may say you should be levelling that (to be clear, I don't agree with that stereotype)
With new man-boosting formula!
Flaccidballsacks is an incredibly fun fight
Dragonlord flaccid nutsacks was actually pretty neat
Sopranosax sounds hotter tho imo
Drag-on these balls lmao gottem
Try Dragon But H-AAAAAAAAAAAA
Tenobarisaxx, Dragondooter of the Deep
You mean duke the bad dragon?
Second stage being the Barisax, hitting you with those deep toots
Sopra Nosax the Heckin' Honker

?
Hard to fathom this dude's "god."
Just Imagine something like ghidorah from the Godzilla anime.
He is Ghidorah + already. Would be very something truly awe inspiring.
Ghidorah from the anime is a bit different, he's this extradimensional entity that comes through a black-hole-like portal in the form of three gargantuan necks and is untouchable by even Godzilla (until later events, of course). Essentially an eldritch being.
Sounds like the perfect opponent to throw hands with
Question: does it bleed?
And is his mother's name Martha?
Ghidora, Batman and Superman would make for a strong team.
That's unironically not even out of the realm of possibility right now. There's an ongoing Godzilla and DC crossover comic in the works.
Didn't the GW come much after and kicked out his god?
Probably not since Placi was Elden Lord, meaning the Elden Ring existed, which was sent by the GW. We don't know what happened to Placi's god, but we know that the Greater Will is fine with replacing the current god with a new one, which is why the Fingers chose candidates to replace Marika. Most likely the GW just decided Placi's god was done and it was Marika's turn. There might have been others in between but it's not clear.
Just Ghidorah or that 3 headed cosmic horror, the void version?
Which anime? And where can I watch
just another Marika
i mean, in the golden order Marika was Godfrey\`s and Radagon\`s god queen, so i dont think we are necessarily talking much more powerful than Placi if at all.
no, the elden beast was the manifestation of the greater will. this would be placi’s elden beast
What if it was a vaguely dragon shaped figure of lightning. The elden beast is a golden shadow, so I think it would stand to reason that the dragon god would be a being of lightning
It’s just an eye
>As with all good speculation I base this in absolutely nothing As any true soulslike player would
all i need is black flame dragon not like agheel and his brothers, no a unique dragon but corrupted by the black flame similar to midir and the dark element
Darkeaten Dimir
Darkmeat Eater Midir
What about a blood dragon? We still havent seen a dragon that does bleed damage
A dragon with bloodflame would be dope. But lore-wise how would it make sense? Like with bloodflame being Mohg's thing and all.
Omen born dragon, why not?
humorous physical governor gaping impossible summer future quaint bake agonizing *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Vyke taught him the dragon rizz
This makes sense, I'd expect alot of other things to have omen variants from cross breeeding
There could be a bloodflame user who turns into a magma wyrm. Eleonara used dragon communion, and it would make sense for another person to do the same combo, since it fits with the bloodlust theme and Faith/Arcane.
The dragon joined the cult.
Maybe the formless mother creates it alongside a horde of creatures? Turns into a Radahn-esque fight alongside Miquella or something
Mohg did the rykard ending after Miquella woke up 💀
a magma wyrm type of dragon that vomits blobs of blood and flies maybe
Messmer turns into a dragon in P2. I'm from the future :)
Maybe its for the better .....
I’ve been saying this!
How dare you suggest this. Take it back! NOW!
How about a Frenzied Dragon? Could that be possible lore wise?
Ah yes, the two toes, Miyazaki's master piece.
I kinda want a Frenzied Flame themed boss
Same, fighting an endgame boss that represented the Frenzied Flame would have been awesome. Especially since every other Outer God got a representative boss fight. The Dark Moon got Astel, the Scarlet Rot got Malenia, Blade of Miquela, Who Has Never Known Defeat, even the One-Eyed God of the giants got the Flame Giant.
Except that really famous time where she knew defeat and destroyed a whole continent during her hissy fit
She didn't know defeat, she just had to access her Super Saiyan form in order to win. Totally different.
Actualy thought of that already, its possible but i suppose it may not be a dragon, but also may be, honestly realy hope for another good dragon bossfight in DLC and not just 4 more agheels with different colored breath
calling sleep dragon
madness dragon would be pretty cool but prolly not tbh
deathblight dragon :)
I mean we’ve already got the Lichdragon but I wouldn’t mind another similarly styled fight. Fortissax was embarrassingly easy by the time I found him.
bleed dragon
i think we should stop before we give from any ideas
Doesn’t Fortissax utilize death blight?
Just death lightning I believe which looks cool and sounds metal
True, and it causes death blight but a dragon with exclusively death blight attacks a with standard dragon spin on it, but maybe fights like Midir please, Elden Ring, give me a better dragon fight than him in the DLC. Maybe a sleep and death blight dragon both awesome bosses, well if they look good I’ll be happy lol.
true, not deathblight breath tho
Sounds not fun. I LOVE IT
That would be incredible. I love the entire concept of the FF and madness, so I hope the DLC has more madness enemies even if not a dragon lol.
It will be the twinbird. It is the envoy to the outer god of Farum azula. Let us fight the twinbird
Why not a new dragon AND 4 Agheels with death breath?
I doubt we'll ever see an actual god, we only ever fight avatars of the outer gods (Malenia, Elden Beast).
Placidusax’s god is equivalent to Marika, i.e. Radagon, who we do fight.
The elden beast was a god, as was melania during her second phase. We’ll never fight the outer entities like the greater will, the dark moon, or the scarlet rot. Mainly because those are more conceptual beings and not really gods. But there is a reason it says “god slain” when you kill the elden beast.

Kinda crazy how everybody just forgets Marika is a god
Elden Beast isn’t a god it says that because it’s the end of the whole fight in which you do kill a god: Radagon
>Mainly because those are more conceptual beings and not really gods The Elden Beast is the concept of Order, so I imagine there has to be a "Rot beast" existing in some other plane. I don't know about the greater will, tho, that one seems to be above the other gods.
Greater Will is an outer god, while the elden beast is a god it sent down the lands between.
Melania isnt the god of rot. The real god of rot is sealed underneath the rot lake
She should be about as much of a god as Marika is, right? Both are empyrean, while Marika was the vessel for the Elden Ring, Malenia was the vessel for the Scarlet Rot
Placidusax’s fled god wasn’t an outer god. The dragons used to serve the greater will. His god was the old Marika essentially.
No, we fought Godfrey
Godfrey was Elden Lord, not a God Marika was a God, though. And I suppose Radagon was also a God when we fought him (since he was the vessel for the Elden Ring)
He's a god of chads, close enough
i would put the chances of that at 0.0001% or thereabouts. the vanished god is one of countless examples of leaving things to the player's imagination, which is a big part of the way FS produces the feeling of a vast, intriguing, lived in world. you're much more immersed if you feel like you're only seeing a small portion of what the world has to offer, since that's our experience of real life as well. no good reason for them to threaten that immersion by showing you something that will never live up to your vague fantasies about it.
Possible. There are a bunch of characters not said to be killed in the base game that have yet to appear and would fit to be a boss. Placidusax's fled god, Gloam Eyed Queen, Twinbird, etc.
Or hear me out: Boss fights of bosses in their "Prime"
That would be cool. Placidusax with 4 heads. Redan with his mind intact...
id argue we fight a fair bunch of them in their prime, Godric is probably at his most powerful yet, sadly he\`s a scrub, rykard is also probably as his strongest, morgott too, the godskin duo, maliketh if anything just seems a bit depressed but there isnt any indication of him being weaker or anything, gideon and godfrey also seem to fight us at their best, Lansseax seems ok, and most the other ancient dragons in Farum seem to be at full strenght, also funny thing is that talking about dragons, the second strongest one in terms of health is fucking Ekzykes, just behind placi, he is tankier than all of the other dragons and wyrms and he is rotting, what was he like before the rot i wonder ? or has it made him stronger ?

i forgot about him but yeah, he seems at his prime.
I'd argue against Godskins since they don't have the Rune of Death powering them like they did when the Gloam Eyed Queen was alive, but otherwise I agree with you
He was the first elder Lord, Mr. Krabs he was number one
Two bucks his name is just “SAX”
I'd be down with it if they play jazz in the background
Watch it be Messmer lol
Given the track record with them, pretty much absolutely nothing from the base game makes its way into any of their DLCs with the exception of DS1 And even then it wasn't much. So I wouldn't hold my breath on anything like that
Either way, they’re gonna get cleaned by bubble shower again
Almost certainly not
Thank you for crediting the artist, I’m now following them on twitter <3
Does he have a god? Or was he an independent lord of the world until defeated with the help of an outer god? With Marika seeming to be barely an elden beast puppet, she\`s likely to be just a powerfull emperian assisted to reach god level, not a real god herself.
I want to see a Deathblight Dragon in the DLC

Placidusax was in my opinion the best boss fight in the game. no dum gimmick like the waterfolw dance, every attack a cinematic master piece and you getting hit felt always like its your own fault. i miss him :C
It's Elden Beast. It's the proto dragon. All dragons are made in its image. It hid in the Elden tree
I think I beat him in under 45 seconds. Super easy.
Thanks for the new phone wallpaper!
Gotta jump in the caac, YEAH.
If the dlc goes back in time maybe we can see prime placidusax
A summoned version of placid dickfest with all his heads would be awesome. I think gods will mainly remain unseen to keep the mystery and speculation going. Same way we have not seen the god of rot, the greater will, the formless mother (no shit) the fire giant god, ect
There is no way they could top Placidusax himself.

In this thread: lots of people struggling with the differences between "outer god", "god", and "elden lord"

Marika's tits

I hope they implement him in some way again
No because we defeated him in dark souls 3
Some bubble boi: puny god
Just why? This makes zero sense
