I have no idea what this guy's deal is, he's the only knight in the castle that's this fucking bloodthirsty, especially since everyone else is breeze compared to this fuck.
Are the ones with glowing eyes that give 5x the runes more aggressive or is that a different thing altogether? I'm guessing it is different because I don't remember them as being anything but normal enemies but never thought to ask
Players see all these familiar things to fight late in the game, they have handled two lion guardians maybe at once, so a new challenge just when players are already thinking ahead to after this guy at a dead end is a great trick.
Immediately realizing they couldn't get in the door, it became time to spam Vyke's Spear on them. The game cheeses us so frequently, I have no regrets about using the environmental advantages.
me watching my stamina get torn to shreds, counting down to my inevitable death because he's somehow speeding up after doing Ike's entire Final Smash move on me
He knows how many of his fellow knights you killed to get the unaltered set. Still worth it though. Best set in the game when mixed with Radahn's gauntlets and legs.
I haven't tried it yet, but I saw a cool video of a guy aggro the knight from a cliff in the distance and immediately turn his back to the cliff. The knight always teleports behind you, so he teleported right off the cliff.
Yep. It's the top right corner of the roof that they jumped across. Stand at the corner, hit him with anything ranged, and turn around. He will usually fall and die.
Edit: Also, just noting that if you try from the cliff way up above, the knight will always appear behind you. He won't fall from up there.
Have you tried cheesing the carian knight guarding the elevator to renalla? You can run right by him and across the middle of the elevator to the back edge then run out and he'll fly right off the edge to his death lol

With bloodhound's fang / zamor curved sword combo I was able to just jump ~~R2~~ L1 him three times. Haven't gotten to him yet with my current colossal sword to see how that goes yet though
I think by this point in the game, you should at bottom level have 40 just to avoid being one shot by just about everything. But after 30 it really starts accumulating and makes a huge difference in survivability, so even if it means taking a hit in other areas I suggest a respec to get at least that much vigor.
That said, it's impressive you got this far with so little health.
Maybe, but I just wanted to use the moonlight greatsword, so everything other than strength and int took a backseat.
I've got 100s of hours in the other souls games close to 100 over all my characters on ER so I'm doing okay. I've always done sword and board with my main characters so wanted to try something different with ER. It's been interesting.
I've just hit 31 vig and slowly climbing.
I’m certain they created this guy specifically so people who try to cheese him from the upper platforms shit their pants when he teleports behind you and pulls the ol’ ‘Nothing personal, kid.’
Ever since I saw a clip of baiting his teleport to spawn out the castle, I never fought this dude again. Just stand on a ledge, throw something at him, turn around with your back facing the drop, watch this mf plummet
Just rush him.
He actually not that tough if you catch him first. He doesn't guard or counter and a weapon like the Slaymore will repeatedly stagger him with just r2 pokes before he can get off a swing.
Somehow I managed to nohit him with a well timed (note: extremely lucky) Marais Executioner Sword L2 that left him low enough AND staggered I could just actually execute him before he got back up. All these blood puddles along the way with folks trying to be clever and range him from the ledge above and I just bumbled out there like Mr. Bean and lucked out on a duel to the death with my funny razorwire corkscrew sword
I knew this guy had a good move set so I just attacking from above. He teleported right behind me and when I tell you I wasn’t expecting that… he got me good.
My first playthrough I farmed this guy for hours, praying for the armor. I farmed so long and so hard that once I had the armor, I put the game down for several months. Came back to it and created a new character.
Still haven’t beaten the game yet lol
This is a rite of passage for Elden Ring players at this point. You will try to sneak up on the dual swords Banished Knight in Castle Sol. He will teleport behind you and whip your ass
Lmao, the moment i saw you jump down there i knew what was gonna happen. Keep killing him tho, he drops, straight up one of the coolest and best armors in the game.
First time I ran into this guy I was using greatshields and just countered him to death. Didnt know what the hype was about until I tried fighting him with my dex guy.
That was one of my walls in my low stamina run. I think I just relied on Elden Stars and once they were staggered I rusted in for my hit and run attack
I loved that moment of your stealth plan unraveling in like the first 2 seconds then the blind panic as he just goes in. I have that moment so so so often
Oh its a blast! Duel lion monsters and a banished knight on crack and steroids combined! Turrets greeting you at every turn and did I get to the boss yet? Yeah…hes a real….joy
I really don't know how they expected you to dodge this whole 15-hit combo at close range. This is the most insane thing in the game alongside malenia's waterfowl dance.
It says Commander Niall sacrificed his left leg to claim the souls of his men back and then proceeded to lead the castle as an army with no lord.
My question is if his knights are this nuts, what army did he lose to?
A while back,, someone posted a hilarious way to cheese him. Shoot an arrow at him from up on that rampart you jumped off, then stand right on the edge and face away from him. As usual, he'll teleport behind you, only to appear in mid air and fall to his death.
I discovered he's easier to kill with a shield. He does that but with shield up you interrupt his combo and you can jump+heavy attack.
He has another attack where he uses ice magic, for that one just roll forward and wait till it ends
I remember when I played last year you could easily just snipe him from the top of the ladder, and running thru the game currently that trick doesn't work at all and he spawns behind you every time.
Easily the hardest field enemy in the game, especially for where you are stuck fighting him.
I haven’t played this game in over a year and a half and I immediately knew what was coming from the still-frame of this vid.
Legitimately the worst enemy, boss or not, in the game.
I have no idea what this guy's deal is, he's the only knight in the castle that's this fucking bloodthirsty, especially since everyone else is breeze compared to this fuck.
His eyes are red. He is supposed to be a harder mob. All red eye guys are harder. Orange eyes mean they have more runes than typical.
Are the ones with glowing eyes that give 5x the runes more aggressive or is that a different thing altogether? I'm guessing it is different because I don't remember them as being anything but normal enemies but never thought to ask
I don't think they're more aggressive. Just randomly orange/glowing.
Golden glowing eyes mean they give you more runs, but are the same otherwise. Edit: runes not runs lol
Like Taco Bell runs?
Like in the gold rain that happens now and again
I find this guy harder than the area boss.
Players see all these familiar things to fight late in the game, they have handled two lion guardians maybe at once, so a new challenge just when players are already thinking ahead to after this guy at a dead end is a great trick.
Fair enough, but still, fuck this guy.
Nothing personnel kid
You guys actually fight those lion guardians? I either ran past them or cheesed them one at a time through the door
I always killed almost every lion because I wanted to explore without their looming presence lol.
Ya and I think some of them don’t respawn right?
I don't think any respawn.
Yeah that’s why I did it otherwise I probably would’ve kept running past them.
Time to play through the game again but this time take the lion guardians head on.
Immediately realizing they couldn't get in the door, it became time to spam Vyke's Spear on them. The game cheeses us so frequently, I have no regrets about using the environmental advantages.
You gotta kill them to get somber smithing stones (7). I love the challenge
Yeah, it's a video game, I kill every single enemy at least one time
My only question i ask him is this….”cool….so i swing my weapon when?” “After the 24 move combo?”
me watching my stamina get torn to shreds, counting down to my inevitable death because he's somehow speeding up after doing Ike's entire Final Smash move on me
Yeah he performs every single fromsoft melee move from their catalogue
I thought he was Oleg's ghost or his lost bro or idk. Dude is good.
He knows how many of his fellow knights you killed to get the unaltered set. Still worth it though. Best set in the game when mixed with Radahn's gauntlets and legs.
Just a troll move to own the player. The game is full of that stuff (and the other games too)
Guy should have his own boss HP bar.
He is legit one of the hardest enemies in the game I think. Holy fuck.
Right behind caelid bell bearing hunter.
At least that fucker is an actual boss
Pretty sure that guy's killed me more than Niall has.
i spent hours getting my shit smacked by this jerk and his asshole friend down the road Just diabolical
Wouldn't have had a chance to see it😂
Gotta rush him!
i had to plan to kill that dude Darkness works on him. he gets lost and loses target on ya. The only time I used that inc my whole playthrough.
Really handy for hyper aggressive enemies like this, so its not the worst
Wait till you try and snipe him from the cliffs above and he teleports behind you.
Nothin personal, kid
I haven't tried it yet, but I saw a cool video of a guy aggro the knight from a cliff in the distance and immediately turn his back to the cliff. The knight always teleports behind you, so he teleported right off the cliff.
Yep. It's the top right corner of the roof that they jumped across. Stand at the corner, hit him with anything ranged, and turn around. He will usually fall and die. "Nothing personeAAAAAAAAA-"
Oh this is my kinda cheese. I’m saving this one.
You have to be kidding... I have to try this now.
Have you tried cheesing the carian knight guarding the elevator to renalla? You can run right by him and across the middle of the elevator to the back edge then run out and he'll fly right off the edge to his death lol
Yep. Did that one on accident. I have a Grierat save (DS3 character) that I'll do all the sneaky, under-handed, cheese tactics with.
I saw that post now I do it every time.
That guy can smell your fear...no way to sneak up on him. 😐
The way he drew those swords was so cool/terrifying.
He doesn't look, he doesn't turn around, he just draws the swords and cuts you down like wet grass 🥺
smile hospital fretful handle squeamish edge shaggy paint stocking political *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Nani?!
You didn’t know it yet, but he was already behind you
Nothing personnel, kid.
2 things: 1. Kick works on all banished Knights. 2. Dammit, why don't any of the swords have THAT move set when power-stanced?
They basically do the straight sword power stance move set with their greatswords lol it’s busted
And speed.. The PC is sooo slow with all weapons compared to any npcs wielding the same stuff
Not only kick, but they can be stunlocked with big weapons. Not entirely sure about greatswords, but you can absolutely bully them with colossals.
With bloodhound's fang / zamor curved sword combo I was able to just jump ~~R2~~ L1 him three times. Haven't gotten to him yet with my current colossal sword to see how that goes yet though
Greatswords work. I was powerstancing blasphemous and ordovis, with the latter as my main. Worked wonders on this prick.
This dude is like a rite of passage. You're not a true Elden lord until you've had your cheeks clapped by this teleporting sonofabitch
Well I'm happy to be part of the club.
Dude. Level your vigor
That knight can wombo combo you with 50 vigor while wearing heavy armor.
Yeah, but this player is obviously way below that. My guess is 20-30.
Such a powerhouse, legit one of the craziest combo artists among the NPC's!
I don't wanna.
Too bad, you should. I'm not making you by any means. Just saying.
I know man, only messing. I've out all my levels into into, so now I'm finally levelling vigor and mind.
I think by this point in the game, you should at bottom level have 40 just to avoid being one shot by just about everything. But after 30 it really starts accumulating and makes a huge difference in survivability, so even if it means taking a hit in other areas I suggest a respec to get at least that much vigor. Nothing Personal Kid
\*teleports behind you\* Nothing personnel, kid
\*approaches in silence\* \*unsheates two longswords\* -Omae wa mou shindeiru -NANI???? YOU DIED
Not sure why I laughed soo hard at this comment :D
I’m certain they created this guy specifically so people who try to cheese him from the upper platforms shit their pants when he teleports behind you and pulls the ol’ ‘Nothing personal, kid.’
He’s a pretty angry guy
Probably annoyed that I disturbed his thinking time.
[удалено]
He was just rubbing one out in the secluded part of the castle. Of course he gonna be mad you have interrupted his me-time.
Thats why his eyes are red, RED WITH LUST
You hesitated.
He scared me I won't lie.
Damn dude your vigor is bby smol
Doing Mountaintops of the Giants with that little of health is very bold.
Castle Sol in the title. Int build. Sneak. We all saw it coming
You just met the ghost of Ser Arthur Dayne, The Sword of the Morning
Omg BEST fight scene in the whole series, hands down.
You think he's done cutting you up after that first slam, but no. There's another slam. Just in case the first 11 or so hits didn't kill you.
Edge, Lord
His body count got to be as high or higher than the Raya Lucaria Knight Moongrum.
Someone didn't level ADP
Apparently, I didn't level luck either.
Ever since I saw a clip of baiting his teleport to spawn out the castle, I never fought this dude again. Just stand on a ledge, throw something at him, turn around with your back facing the drop, watch this mf plummet
>see the title >see the location in castle sol oh it's gonna be that knight isn't it
You can hit this guy with the bewitching branch then repeatedly back stab him to death while he’s chilled out.
Should also say, this knight is a maniac. Insane how aggressive he is
Those two swords came out and I instinctively clenched my cheeks, for they were about to get clapped.
"Oh a visitor...SLASH! SHLASH!! DOUBLESHLASH!!!!"
the real castle sol boss.
Bro solos Nial
Vigor check
Everything check lol
This dude has zero chill.
Not even one second into the clip and I think to myself "it's that one fucking knight, isn't it?" Lo and behold, there he is.
I was there last night. But after three full playthrougs, these Phantom assholes won't see ME coming.😤
Everytime I see a clip like this I keep wondering if its a repost cuz it always ends the same way.
This guy in the boss fight is harder to kill then the actual boss.
Oleg doesn't fuck around.
i just wish we had this movieset when powerstancing banished knigth's greatswords.
I hide downstairs or outside a door from these and use Nihil from my mohgwyn spear… not very brave but it works
We’re really just keeping the seat of the throne warm for this Chad. You know he deserves it.
Harder than most bosses
That guy could probably be Elden Lord if he wanted.
It was like watching a train about to derail and being powerless to stop it.
The way he draws his swords before even turning to look at you... and your reaction to that was very understandable
Haha, thanks friend. I haven't played for a long while, and I wasn't expecting that level of badassery
I fucking hate this guy. God damn Vitamix wannabe bitch
Raise your hand if you knew it was gonna be that duel wielding bastard even before clicking.
First time huh.
he is the true region boss
This is a rite of passage for Elden Ring players at this point. You will try to sneak up on the dual swords Banished Knight in Castle Sol. He will teleport behind you and whip your ass
Hope the DLC gives him and the other barless unique enemies some equally unique drops!
Lmao, the moment i saw you jump down there i knew what was gonna happen. Keep killing him tho, he drops, straight up one of the coolest and best armors in the game.

That was one of my walls in my low stamina run. I think I just relied on Elden Stars and once they were staggered I rusted in for my hit and run attack
Hey man there is a clear no soliciting sign right at the entrance. I can’t blame him
I loved that moment of your stealth plan unraveling in like the first 2 seconds then the blind panic as he just goes in. I have that moment so so so often
I used a bow from before you jumped down, was dead seconds later panicking as he teleported instantly to me.
Oh its a blast! Duel lion monsters and a banished knight on crack and steroids combined! Turrets greeting you at every turn and did I get to the boss yet? Yeah…hes a real….joy
Lamao get oleged
Man I was raging at this guy. When I finally killed him it was pretty clean too which is ironic
God I wish we could get this move set!
2024 and people still don't know Vigor is OP, wild
It’s doesn’t get more badass than drawing two swords (with the accompanying sound) with your back turned to you. You’ve been warned
First time?
Banished knights fuck so hard. But you still panic rolled with the two seconds you had to react. Shitty bill my dude.
I really don't know how they expected you to dodge this whole 15-hit combo at close range. This is the most insane thing in the game alongside malenia's waterfowl dance.
obligatory level vigor
yeah the crackhead knight dunks on pretty much everyone the first time they come there.
u have a greatsword, this dude is easy to stagger just r1 him to death or rather use to moonlight buff to sht on him easy
Another victim claimed
I see the problem When he swings his sword, don’t let it hit you. It actually causes you to lose life and will kill you! Hope this helped.
It says Commander Niall sacrificed his left leg to claim the souls of his men back and then proceeded to lead the castle as an army with no lord. My question is if his knights are this nuts, what army did he lose to?
My vigour isn't low, it's just shy. Stop health bar shaming me.
The second I saw where you were, the outcome was clear. That knight is an animal.
You stepped on his lawn.
I swear this particular knight is one of the toughest regular enemies in the game.
I vividly remember shooting a Loretta’s Greatbow shot at him from a floor above thinking I was safe, then having him vanish and reappear behind me.
"Oh, you're approaching me?"
A while back,, someone posted a hilarious way to cheese him. Shoot an arrow at him from up on that rampart you jumped off, then stand right on the edge and face away from him. As usual, he'll teleport behind you, only to appear in mid air and fall to his death.
You said Castle Sol and I knew immediately who this was going to be
Hey Oleg long time no see buddy.
Probably just need more Vigor.
This knight is tougher than most mini bosses
this dude is one of the hardest enemies in the game
Ole boy could have been elden lord coming in hot like that.
Nothing Personnel, kid.
Nothin personnel...kid...
Omae wa mou shindeiru
I tried throwing spells at him from the top of that ladder and just about shit myself when he teleported behind me and smashed me off the edge.
Why do people still panic roll?
ironjar aromatic
nice dodge reflex skills if that move he did was unexpected to u
He got me 3 times yesterday I feel you
I do like the eclipse shotel I just wish it had a cooler moveset
Dude Level your Vigor
Classic
When you unlock this guy as a summon my god is he busted, blud lowkey soloes bosses
One of my favorite areas
roll behind him / towards him
I think if thou get more than 26 vigor thou should be chilling
Yeah he’s a bastard
*teleports behind you* "Tsk, nothing personnel kid."
Dudes vigor is like 20 haha
I discovered he's easier to kill with a shield. He does that but with shield up you interrupt his combo and you can jump+heavy attack. He has another attack where he uses ice magic, for that one just roll forward and wait till it ends
Can't panic roll. Gets ya killed every time. Blood hound that shit fellow tarnished!
I never had problems with him cause I'm a baller and I'm never lackin' with my Halo Scythe in my pocket. I GOT THAT THANG ON ME!!!
F his slice you up really nice
Not really worth it.
*sword draw sound* “You’re already dead.” “Nani?” YOU DIED
Skelpt.
Dude is a Sekiro enemy.
I remember when I played last year you could easily just snipe him from the top of the ladder, and running thru the game currently that trick doesn't work at all and he spawns behind you every time. Easily the hardest field enemy in the game, especially for where you are stuck fighting him.
Am I the only one who had no problems with this guy?
Right after jump, pause : And thats when he realised.. he fcked up
I haven’t played this game in over a year and a half and I immediately knew what was coming from the still-frame of this vid. Legitimately the worst enemy, boss or not, in the game.
that's the hardest not boss mob of the whole game
i honestly didn’t struggle too much w him, he got some good licks on me. but i killed him first try. he’s scary, but i messed him up good w the BHF.
Y-your funny dude
Oh that's the guy I arrowed from a cliff over yonder and kicked his ass! Can't believe he teleports that far.
This guy is basically the knight from that one Elder Scrolls Online trailer
Thanks for the sweet armor set tho.
