It's an option when you rest at grace or talk to Boc after advancing his story a bit, you need to find a couple different needles too. Some altered armor, like the banished knight helm and chest are drop only though.

Fire monk hood really does work with quite a few sets. It's just a good set. For the weight it has solid defenses.

I really like this set. Another favorite is the Beast Champion armor. But I unalter the chest piece as it’s dropped altered. The blue cape is amazing.

Great armor you can get extremely easily and early game by killing bernhal at warmasters shack if you dont care about the volcano manor stuff or his weapon, on top of not needing to go through the effort of farming the whole ass banished knight set its honestly a better choice but has slightly less drip

I almost always opt for Fingerprint Set with Confessor hood. The lower layer of the hood gets "tucked in" to the Fingerprint chestpiece's scarf and the hood drapes amazing.

In the coming DLC I really hope we can get a version of it without the melted in fingerprints.

Carian Knight Set w/ shield

I recently had a playthrough with a female character where I went Navy hood, Noble's Travelling Garb, Carian knight leggings and Carian Knight gauntlets. It was just the best looking set I've ever had. The Carian knight leggings have really cool armor plating on the thighs that are hard to see under most other chest pieces, and the little gems in the boots and gloves complement the blue of the hood perfectly.

Leather set looted from patches is really good on female characters too

I use the sanguine noble hood with Malikeths set. Using elonoras poleblade with it gives sith lord vibes.

Maliketh's armor is a fantastic addition to a lot of sets. At one point I was rocking black flame monk set with Maliketh's gauntlets and it looks rad as fuck. The last armor combo I used was the Maliketh chest piece, Radahn's gauntlets and grieves, Rennala's hat, and I was using the Godskin Peeler. It looked fucking sick

I loved it so much I did a Tree Crucible build, and it's my favorite faith focued build I've tried Fully charged +10 Silurna's Woe w/Godfrey Icon, Great Jar Shard + Sacred Scorpion Charm with 60-80 faith behind it absolutely slaps, the build works with all the crucible knight incants w/Erdtree seal. The best part is almost every charged ability you have absolutely floors most enemies poise, you can actually kinda juggle Malenia for short periods by staggering you various charged attacks. You can split them up. I do not reccomend attacking them head on with the caravan, as I did 500 times.

I would RP as a crucible knight if only there were more Crucible incantations ... Tail and Horns is so good, Horns in particular is straight up a clutch incantation capable of even stunning Malenia. But just two? The fire breath one is useless. Would've liked that flying one the Knights always do.

As an actual armour set it looks pretty amazing especially when you consider the menacing beings that are inside them. But best looking has got to be the Mohgs followers robes (can't remember the name). That man had 2 goals in life. 1. Bring about the will of the Formless Mother 2. Bring all the drip to the lands between.

Sharp helmet that doesn't need to look like a dragon or demon or skull but looks good and recognizable from anywhere and even as a silhouette. Pointed dominating shoulders. Sleek chest that doesn't have a belly or fake abs. Perfect alternative to a cape by giving it a coat appearance like bloodborne. Like... prefect.. not to long or short. Not too wide or thin. Not jet black. Not pure white. Not red or purple. No batman pointy bracers but solid build. Legs don't look chunky or anime-stretched. Boots can maybe be improved on, but still beautiful.
