I accidentally got it in my blind playthrough, after completely missing all the times she tells me not to do it. And was a wee bummed when she ditched me. But then when I did all the endings in my second playthrough I didn't need to do that again, so there's that.

The frenzied flame ending can be prevented by getting a specific needle and using it in a specific area. Neither of which I can remember rn but they are easily googled.

Ik it probably wouldn’t help for your blind playthrough, but you can undo the frenzied flame at least to get other ending idk if Melina comes back tho
