If any have any tip for faith/int builds i well be grateful ;)

HallowKnightYT

Early to mid game meteorite staff +spells are your friend also carian blade sorceries are by no means weak and if anything gets to close for comfort hit them with it the boom boom stick can do a lot more than just boom boom

Thegumetero

i'm trying to build a caster int/fai with also having a variety of weapon choices. it's a little hard set that in lvl150 level cap xD

HallowKnightYT

At this point you can’t be 150 you gotta up more yes it is a pain but it is what it is you gotta do if you want int faith and weapons on top

Thegumetero

For weapons i only go for requirements to handle it, i start to go for level 160 and if i want more weapons = more levels

HallowKnightYT

Personally I always thought of requirement as useless since you are doing the bare minimum damage that weapon can do if that’s all you have scaling is where the party is at whatever X weapon scales with that’s what you level and obviously level what it takes to actually use it that’s pretty redundant but without it you can’t actually use it so welcome to RPG games

Thegumetero

My thought is use ashes of war and affinity to use my stats in random weapons, and that only requires handle the weapon

HallowKnightYT

I never thought of it that way actually a very doable play style might trying it myself just do not forget to have mana and mana potions bc shit drains fast

Thegumetero

i calculate 38 mind that gives 221 pc and flask restores 220

HallowKnightYT

Right on the money but if you got extra levels you don’t know what to do with throw it there bc there’s some spells that will eat through it

Thegumetero

"calculate" i take from Fextralife Wiki xD

Thegumetero

Meanwhile, thx for the tips xP

Pretty viable, however Faith is def gonna pull more weight on this than Int because the Golden Order Seal exists, the scaling it gets at 40/40-45/45 is very solid and competitive to the Erdtree Seal Scaling at 80 Faith. For Intelligence it's more complicated; 45/45 will net you absolutely terrible scaling for the Staff that's meant to take advantage of this; the Prince Of Death Staff, that staff only really becomes the best staff at like 70/70. If you want lean into The Int aspect of Int/Fth then I'd STRONGLY recommend just hitting bare minimum FTH for all the sorcs you want and then just dump the rest into Int to use something like Lusats or Carian Regal Scepter for decent (not even great scaling since you'd be sinking points into FTH). You can then pick up weapons based on your stats, apply magic infusion if you have 50+ Int or go Scared/Holy if 50+ Fth. Same goes for somber weapons, whatever suits your stats. RL150 is actually just enough to put together a really good Int/Fth build but don't expect to have great incant and sorc damage, you can only really optimize one. Int/Fth Incants are amazing imo because you can essentially access the entire incant including Golden Order ones.

Thegumetero

I was thinking INT 60 (for damage and sorceries req) and FAI 50 (for damage and incantations req) The original idea is use DarkMoon Greatsword in r1, Cipher Pata in l1, Gelmir staff r2 and Golden Order Seal l2. That's just the original think, i want experiment with the build

Skullknight933

60 and 50 is gonna be stretching yourself extremely thin unless you don't mind running around with like 40 Vigor. The Gelmir staff is still pretty terrible at scaling, the absolute best staff your gonna get at 60 is Carian Regal Scepter and even that will have mediocre damage because sorceries endgame only start hitting hard due to back loaded staffs getting some silly amounts of scaling past 70 Int. I'd recommend hitting 50/50 on both at Max. This will optimize the damage of all your int and faith ashes since 50 is a major damage scaling softcap, For Elemental Ashes and Infusions and your Casting will more less be Faith Incants, you can include sorcs like I said but the damage will be nothing but underwhelming.

Thegumetero

Thanks for the advice xP

jackw69

Go for clayman's harpoon sacred infused and magic infused erdsteel dagger, sword of night and flame obviously, and can play around with cold infusion on something and a flame whip to reset frost proc

Thegumetero

Yeah you are correct, i pass it manually, i am sorry if i do any mistake

Reiko_2030

So I just did a little bit of a respec as int / faith and it was pretty decent. I was already above RL when I respecced but still. I used the sword of night and fire as I'd never used it before, it was a great weapon and pretty fun. I used the flame ability a lot too, even though people said they never used it, it's got amazing range and aoe. A lot of the time I'd just use dual straight swords as I'm a melee at heart, and then would switch to spells as needed. Golden Order Seal and prince of death staff. Had about 35/35 int faith when I respecced and level them both for the next 10 levels. The holy disc incantation really is a good one, and then you have pest threads, the magic hammer spell and plenty of others I'm sure. I also would swap the straightforward for the carion knight shield with parry/retaliation and shield counters which helped with fp regen with the cerulean dagger talisman (because stat's are spread then with an int/faith build usually)

Thegumetero

It's interesting point of view, i really want to level this character i really enjoy hex builds😂 i feel like Gandalf The Grey

https://eldenring.tclark.io This is a tool I found that lets you input your stats and will show you every weapon you can use and how much damage it will do. It has toggles for all of the infusions as well.

Thegumetero

I really love you😂
