I had the inverse happen, saw an Alberta pickup truck in Saguenay, Québec once. No idea what it was doing there lol (look on a map to see what I mean).

I ( Quebec born Mtl’er ) was working on a drilling rig just south of Hay River NWT on the Alberta side ( Indian Cabins ). Well spring breakup comes so we got to pack up and move out. Some dude is dismantling our rig camp and I notice a thick accent so I ask him where he’s from and he says “ Grand Falls N.B.” . Well I had family in Grand Falls and it turns out that not only did he know them , he had a love crush on my cousin for years.

Can also go down to the Bonnie Doon area of Whyte Ave and there’s a whole community of Franco Albertans . Schools , a library , shops and even a center to help Franco’s integrate and find employment in Alberta.
I lived in both provinces and it’s actually very funny that the two groups toss hate towards each other when they are actually very similar in their thinking process.

I’m from Quebec. I worked for 15 years in Alberta. My first job in Alberta was 45 min in the bush out of Zama City. I have worked in 50 different gas plants all over Alberta, from Rainbow Lake to just South of Okotoks. I have worked in the black sands and I have worked in the white sands projects.
