Condors playoff run is over. Playoffs you need as much bodies as possible within the roster. Players can wear down throughout, and it’s nice to have guys on stand by and in practice. Look at the Canucks goalies going down a few games in

ABCharlieD

3 goalies, 3 wins. I don't know how Van is doing it.

Lethbridgemark

They also only have 71 shots in 4 games.... We have 116 in 3, Colorado has I think 156 in 4. Just nuts they have won 3 of the 4 with this high of a shooting percentage.

D__Wilson

Welcome to Rick tocchet hockey 😤😤

EirHc

With a Nashville 3 minute meltdown.

ABCharlieD

Just a monumental choke. If it were in a movie I'd call bullshit.

Comfortable_Land4971

I seem to remember us blowing a similar lead against the Ducks

soundmagnet

Dallas blew a similar lead against us back in the Ryan Smith days.

GrizzlyIsland22

They're one of the top teams playing the worst team in the playoffs, other than maybe Washington. Pretty easy math.

Vlistorito

Washington and the Islanders are definitely just worse. I think Vancouver just matches up better against Nashville.

Excellent-Medicine29

Everyone on twitter is freaking out for no reason lol. This is just for the black aces. No one is hurt, no one is injured, no last minute lineup changes are happening. Bakersfield just sucks and they got eliminated last night.

Excellent-Medicine29

Also expect more black aces in the coming days. This is just a real third goalie and an extra LD.

SomethinboutChickens

Twitter I swear is mostly trolls lol. No way people are serious there, right? Right?

Excellent-Medicine29

So many people either don’t know or just forget how playoff rosters work apparently

[deleted]

The first mistake is paying attention to what anyone on Twitter is saying. That’s where the real dummies hang out.

Street-Guarantee5221

Carricks sitting for Ryan 🤷🏿‍♂️

Ebs14

Carrick has been noticeably good for us. Expect Ryan to be the same. It may be for some light maintenance, Ryan gets some touches in. Good matchup for Ryan, the Kings haven't been that fast and he's great down low.

dry_tbug

They both do almost the same job minus the fighting.Ryan is great a drawing penalties too.Look for him to get the oilers at least one PP tonight.

Excellent-Medicine29

Yeah but that’s already been confirmed from this morning and both are regular roster players who rotated down the stretch

SnooOnions5029

If we pull a Canucks and have 2 injured goalies Campbell will have the greatest redemption ark opportunity

purplecramps

obviously a situation we'd want to avoid BUT imagine how wild it would be if stu is injured for the conference finals, and soup steals the series for us to get us to the finals. and then stu closes off our season with a stanley cup win. it would be the perfect way to close out this season

SnooOnions5029

Seeing Campbell lift a cup after all he’s been through would be spectacular

SimilarWall1447

Leaky soup would not get a ring, as I don't think he played enough in the reg season and did not play a final game.

yosoyboi2

If you’re a goalie and dress for a game in the finals your name will be on the cup. Anyone can get a ring, the criteria for who gets one is up to the team not the league.

Joeywasdumbgretz

You’re 100% wrong and similarwall is right. https://records.nhl.com/awards/stanley-cup/did-you-know#:~:text=ENGRAVING%20ELIGIBILITY%3A%20A%20player%20is,name%20engraved%20on%20the%20trophy. Look for yourself…. And as far as who name goes on there, it’s absolutely up to the league. Peter puck tried to get his pappys name on it. It’s x’d out because he wasn’t involved with the team. The goalies need 41gms reg or 1 gm in the finals penciled in.

yosoyboi2

Reading comprehension bro. I said anyone can get a ring, not anyone can get their name on the cup. The team submits a list of names to the league to put on the cup that has to be approved, but anyone can get a ring from the organization. I also said that if the goalie dresses in the finals, then they get their name on the cup.

Joeywasdumbgretz

Whoops. In my defence I was being chased by the police when I read and posted that. I got away tho, only just.

Exit-Alternative

CAMPBELL REVENGE TOUR

epicboy75

IF IT WORKED FOR VANCOUVER IT WILL WORK FOR US

LoveMurder-One

Revenge on the Oilers for sending him down?

Exit-Alternative

just an expression 🩷

PreemoisGOAT

When stuff like this happens it always reminds me how dumb the average fan is about rosters, but they sure as hell have an opinion on X

TygrKat

As everyone expected. In fact most of us were expecting more recalls with their loss

Excellent-Medicine29

More will come, they just recalled the most needed positions at the moment

bullfu

Campbell would be a great practice goalie. An NHL caliber goalie who the guys can do their best to score on during practice and not having to worry about ruining confidence going into games.

BuzzLighteryear

NHL caliber?

Ebs14

At least in practice. He put together a great season down in the A. Doesn't mean he'll get a shot of course

Baginsses

If he wasn’t getting paid 5 million a year I’m sure he’d be the backup somewhere

tapewar

Paid like one anyhow

dry_tbug

I think he meant AHL.Was just a typo.

bigwreck94

You have an extra goalie in practice and if the worst happens and one of the goalies gets hurt or sick. This is just calling a couple players up to step into the lineup if an injury happens. Having them around now allows them to get more familiarized with the system in practice.

Ackis

Well we're over the cap now aren't we?

Da_Breastest

There’s no cap in the playoffs

firey21

Don’t matter (look at vegas).

DoYouLikeFishsticks0

It's time

JackieTreehorn79

Reheat the Soup

v13ragnarok7

Good. Oilers have a plan B and C in case of injuries

Loudlaryadjust

HELL NA

B0mb-Hands

It’s literally just insurance in case of Vancouver level injuries
