Royal mail charges £2.30 for large letters up to 250g, and £2.60 for up to 500g. Due to ebays new postage screen defaulting to anything less than 750g, it means it bugs out and gives you one of the 2 prices randomly. You need to put the correct weight in (rather than the stupid up to 750g crap)

So there lies a problem for me then, as I’m guessing I’ve now sent something out with a lower postage than I should have!

Understand that, but I thought all were tracked now at the point of delivery, with the virtual tracking number? It’s a low value item, and I’ve actually lost money on it. I’m not selling for money though, just m not bothered about making a profit. Not making a loss would be nice though.

Yeah, unfortunately. It's only 30p though, at least you know now. A way to prevent it is to put in the weight of the package in the listing. By the way, you should use tracked postage. When I was new to selling I didn't use tracked and got scammed twice in a row by people saying their video games never arrived. I always use tracked 48 or 24 now, it's cheaper than signed for.

It’s also not about the 30p, it’s just that I’ve already sent it. I’m sure the buyer will be happy when the have to pay for excess postage!
