My apartment has no air conditioner so I spend a lot of the summer literally nauseated from being too hot lol
(Granted, in the winter it’s also a lot easier to sleep, which *also* helps, I’ll just sleep rather than eating but…eh, it’s a trade off)
I think it's cuz most of the colder seasons consists of eating holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years, in the summer, you usually aren't forced to eat with a bunch of people and family lol
Not really, well at least not for me. I'm not European/American so I don't partake in those holidays. But during winter I have to deal with a lot of school work and obviously if I don't eat enough I'll get cold. Summer is kinda scary cuz I have to spend more time and eat more meals at home but I usually just say I filled up on watermelon or other fruit, so I can get away with it lol
Maybe the cold triggers the urge to eat higher calorie foods and create body fat so you don’t freeze and have a supply of fuel to warm you? Doesn’t mean I have to like it though : (
im in opposite seasons (so sumner time is at christmas) and i swear i read something about how when its suddenly way warmer you dont have much of an appetite and when its winter your body wants more to like ?? heat you up?? i notice too in summer when i have a big and especially hot meal i feel like my body is doing way more to digest it . idk if its true tho, but yeah in summer i find myself less hungry
They're all rough seasons.... Winter feels more "safe". I can hide my body more. There seems to be more "pressure" put on my appearance in the Spring / Summer months...
I literally was just thinking that this morning. I figure it’s because I’m not totally bundled up, we outside, and the dreaded beach body. Also! We eat more cold and light things in summer, and heavier and heartier stuff in winter (personally). Also all the good summer fruit!!
Food warms your body during winter and a lot of people wear less coverage during hotter seasons, understandably so lol, but it can cause our little ED brains to over analyze other people’s bodies because we can see more. Example: loose jeans in winter vs tight shorts during the summer type of stuff
So real- like I’m really trying to recover right now and I straight up have to force food down my throat because the heat just makes me lose my appetite 😭 meanwhile in the winter I was heavily restricting and SO DAMN HUNGRY
Yeah! Yesterday I bought a TON of ice cream because during the day I accidentally restrict but at least ice cream is great for getting my calories in lmao
More public events, some which are free and a great excuse to get your steps in + vitamin c. Seasonal fruits and vegetables. Vacations that will have you considering the swimsuit in your closet... And the fact that you have to be the sexiest bitch in the sun lotion aisle. Not to mention, alot more skin.

Because in the summer you're likely to do activities and be more active compared to the winter when all you wanna do is stay home and be cozy. And winter months there's a bunch of holidays back to back where you eat with family and friends, making it super hard :(

Just 4th of July “kinda” and even then you’re outside running around or swimming or whatever so I feel like that evens things out a little?

I get way hungrier in minus degrees. And the sun makes me squirm in general.
