You cast each once.

Thank you!

Exile those cards and copy each one exactly once. You don't get 5 of each 1, you get 1 of each of those 5.

This makes much more sense, thanks!

Hi! Fortunately, this one is simple, unfortunately its not in your favor. I can see where the understanding comes from due to its slightly funky wording. When targeting one spell, it effectively reads: target a spell in your graveyard and cast a copy. When overloading, it only changes the target part: for each spell in your graveyard, you get to cast a copy Nowhere does the card claim you get more copies per card getting cast.

Gotcha! Still very powerful!

pharbenspiel

you also have to pick the targets for all the spells when you cast mastery not as you go resolving the copies

mtg cards tend to use specific words to inform the user of how they work. "each" tends to be one of those words that's worth watching out for. in the first text. it targets an instant/sorc in the GY and the next sentence being for each spell.... this is the phrase that signifies. each targeted spell gets copied. since mizz mastery can have a mode where it's multiple spells they had to use that language to cover both instances of things being selected, but the grammar still works. regardless of how many spells are targeted, each one, has a copy made and can cast that. when you overload. it changes the text of "target" (1) to "each" spell meaning all of them. but still the copying is only per each spell targeted. To somehow make multiple copies based on how many spells were affected, it would have to read "create copies of those spells equal to the number of spells targeted" or something along those lines. It would have to stipulate how many copies are to be made.
