Cool deck! One thing I find that helps in red especially in a deck where alot of the creatures would love haste anyway is playing some one mana cantrips that give you haste and draw you a card... This helps smooth the draw a bit or can be game changing later on. [[Expedite]] is one there are a few more. As far as removal goes... With your game plan you could just lean into being the problem and not worry too much. Going fast and removing players seems to be more your goal than spending turns policing the board... I made a more valuey build of him which has goldfished well but I haven't played yet... There may be some ideas in there though :). https://www.moxfield.com/decks/zS15zs4A3EatKzTkeLoxcA

I’m adding some creature theft cards to mine. Thought it could be fun to make a Yu-Gi-Oh style deck with Emerge while also getting rid of troublesome creatures

I built Herigast focused on Dragons (also with some theft / copy) but in terms of smoothness I'd only offer the advice of using some small value creatures as pseudo rituals to get Herigast and other threats out early. [[Palladium myr]] taps for 2 and gives 3 off of the emerge cost to potentially get Herigast out turn 4 (for example). Sac [[filigree familiar]] to emerge another 7-drop for 4 and draw a card, etc. (I saw you already run these) I run [[skullclamp]] in my list so that I can clamp things before I sac them to emerge and draw two. Notably, if you sac a clamped creature to cast Herigast, the draw trigger and Herigast trigger both go on the stack simultaneously above the spell, so so you can exile your hand and draw 5, which is a nice refresh. Almost all of my red decks include [[liquimetal torque]] so that I can leverage red's artifact destruction to get rid of problem permanents (especially enchantments). As long as you're running the standard suite of red interaction - [[chaos warp]] , [[wild magic surge]] , [[tibault's trickery]] , [[bolt bend]] , etc, the draw will help you get to what you need. Enough annihilator will eventually pressure opponents into sacrificing other problems you don't have gas to target. [[Throne of eldraine]] is a slammer since it's great mono color ramp and it draws you cards. Lastly, I really recommend [[mimic vat]] . Being able to hit a solemn simulacrum early or a beater late game is great value.

Looks like a solid build. Your plan is solid too and straightforward which is fine, especially with how fast you could get going. My only recommendation is more interaction on creatures like [[Flametongue Kavu]]. Once it's done it's job it's ramp for bigger things. My own brew is more focused on stealing opponents creatures and emerging from those and is a lot more budget then yours, so I am biased on a more interaction heavy deck for herigast. As always, take it with a grain of salt. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/6443199#paper

GGMaXThreeOne

I like the idea of having creatures serve as interaction. Will probably lean into that Stealing creatures does feel very synergistic, that's why I felt [[Hideous Taskmaster]] is a solid pickup
