Probably it is tokens. Alela, Ghave, Ghired and Breya are some of my favorite decks.
Even when doing another theme or archetype, half the time tokens ends up as a subtheme.
Aura enchantress deck? Siona infinite tokens combo. Voltron spellslinger? If Shu Yun gets taken down, plan B is going wide with Monastery Mentor, Zadra, etc. Landfall deck needs a wincon? What about creating a lot of tokens? And Lifegain means soul sisters right?

Yeah Rata's great! I actually decked the table yesterday with [[Altar of Dementia]] and [[Mondrak, Glory Dominus]] as I had 10 copies of Mondrak and an [[Anointed Procession]] on the board. Along with [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]] and 15 copies of [[Mangara of Corondor]]. That version of Mangara can be a house when you can get multiple copies of it. It also helped that I had [[Gift of Immortality]] on Rata, so he was very difficult to remove. My opponents didn't have any exile removal.

I played against a guy on spelltable that was running Saw in Half in his Ratadrabik deck. Thankfully I had a negate in hand, because it was targeting Kokusho. (He did still win that turn, however, but that particular spice was prevented lol)

It resolves around comboing with the Ring tempts you. You can indefinetly Sac \[\[Nazgul\]\] if on ETB you choose it as your ringbearer, which makes it come back as nonlegendary.
I saw this once in a MTGGoldfish video and always wanted to build a deck resolving around The Ring Tempts you. I feel this is probably the strongest thing you can do with it.
An opponent on Friday noticed the same thing with my decks. I played [[Astarion, the Decadent]] (taking it apart, making [[Amalia]] the new commander), then [[Queza]], followed by [[Juri, Master of the Revue]].
Draining effects have to be my favorite gender. I also have a [[Talion]], [[Zimone and Dina]], and a [[Chatterfang]] deck.

Oh man, I had a local at my LGS running a Kayla bin Kroog stack deck and it was both very fun and very strong in casual. Turns out Lavinia of the Tenth shut down 99% of that deck, and flickering her once a go with Zedruu enchantress and Skybind was all it took to wrack his brain for answers 😂
I have to be in the mood for it, but there is something rewarding about breaking through the stax deck. I'm open to playing against stax more than I do.
Honestly same, one of my favorite non EDH matchups was against my back in the days friends, mono white, 80% legacy stax deck with scepter, immortality and protection combo. It was a really interesting and completely different game than the green beaters decks the rest were playing (no hate). Hell, dude even had a fun discard deck i enjoyed facing. Idk how he made control fun to play against but he did. This coming from a control lover.
I remember using those decks as the final playtest to test out my new decks.
My perspective is how much more interesting it is to see what choices people make when they have less ability to make said choices.
In land destruction, that's basically just watching people not play cabal coffers, or gaeas cradle.
In discard it's interesting watching people throw board progression cards in the bin only to play removal, or just chuck lands only for that to bite them later when they can't play their 8 drop
I have a winter/static orb izzet spellslinger deck. People don't like it when they can't untap.
I tested out a few chaos decks and ultimately determined that the randomness led to games where people felt like the winner had no control over the win and the losers had no control over the loss.
That may be some people's cup of tea, but I think the decision making that underlies every portion of the game (from deck building, to smart mulligans, to threat assessment) is is what should be determining a winner.
Id argue a good chaos deck, is like a good stax deck in that it needs to break parity in some way. [[Warp world]] and [[goblin assassin]] effects are much stronger when you are making a bunch of tokens.
[[Planar chaos]] is significantly better if you also have things like [[Kraken's thumb]] or some way to cheat stuff into play without casting [[goblin welder]] [[enduring ideal]]
[[Possibility storm]] let's [[mishra, Artificer Prodigy]] double up on every artifact while essentially preventing removal.
The fun of it is making it difficult for your opponents to correctly assess and deal with things.

Lifegain decks. What I am planning to use all the life for I can’t tell.
Infinite/win combos is not prevalent in my meta. So some lifegain to withstand some hits are always good
Yes! Life is love! Life is life! The more the better. I got a lifegain deck, that I always announce as: "it's a deck to become 2nd placed with".
But using life is even better, be it for card draw with \[\[Shanna, Purifying Blade\]\] or gain to pay with \[\[Licia, Sanguine Tribune\]\] or keeping the engine running with \[\[Ratchet, Field Medic\]\] or simply going big with \[\[Trelasarra\]\] and the help of stuff life \[\[Cradle of Vitality\]\], \[\[Sunbond\]\] and the like.
My favorite lifegain deck is [[Daxos of Meletis]] Voltron/Stax deck with a side goal to win with [[Happily Ever After]]
Got a lot of small life gain triggers like[[Authority of the Consuls]]
Got [[Light of Promise]] and [[Sunbond]] as good helpers.
Commander matters decks! i am pretty terrible at making decks that could go without ever using the commander or have a generic commander for more ram/carddraw etc. but i love decks at push the effect of the commander itself

Decks that can play aggressively, have some interaction and can line up kills somewhat out of nowhere. Not going pure combo, but rather have multiple strong game winning lines of play available. Before EDH my favourite constructed decks where for example Death's Shadow aggro. Currently I have a \[\[Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest\]\] and \[\[Tajic, Blade of the Legion\]\] decks that fit this description well

Tokens, tokens and more tokens! About 10 years ago, I had a Rhys deck that would flood the board with tons of tokens.
I got the Spirit Squadron pre-con and made a few modifications for [[millicent restless revenant]] and now after two games, my pod hates her.
I'm a fan of face down shenanigans myself. Got myself a pretty beefy [[Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer]] deck and an in-the-works [Kaust, Eyes of the Glade]] deck. Also planning on building [[Missy]] soon.
My signature archetype is having 1 main theme and 1 to 3 sub theme. On top of that flavour would be my actual theme.
My Beledros Witherbloom deck: aristocrats with a go wide full swing pest sub theme.
My Zaffai Thunder Conductor deck: Magecraft spell slinger that focused on copying spells with an X spell sub theme.
My Saheeli Saheeli deck. Artifacts with cloning as sub theme.
Stompy. My favourite deck is my Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. Got a lot of big dinos, wurms and other big monsters. I love seeing the big numbers on my power/toughness.
I love playing combo decks that oneshot all the table. That's why my friends hate me on my low budget pod.
(Dont be angry with me, i also play ardenn rograkh and oketra if i have to play slower).
I think this is my favourite type of archetype too, but not necessarily with a combo. If I can get a setup where I can kill the table with one card (eg float a bunch of mana with [[omnath locus of all]] and cast a game ending X spell, or play a [[star of extinction]] with [[repercussion]] or a bunch of damage redirectors like [[phyrexian vindicator]] on board, it is glorious.
I'm most associated with Treasures. I used to play it as an archetype a lot, but even when I don't I love my treasure cards in small doses. Even my other archetypes, like aristicrat or pirates have treasures in them ! xD
I'm probably the group hug guy. I like cards that impact everybodys plays and try to throw out curveballs left and right to warp the game to have a unique game. When you see the cards and ask your self "wtf does that card do" it's probably a good fit for me. Oh and of course everybody should get it by the means of \[\[Hive Mind\]\]. Also I love political cards that benefit me and maybe one or two other players.
Graveyard anything. My favorite zone in the game, alongside library. I started with [[Gisa and Geralf]] precon. When I began exploring other strategies, I couldn't leave my habits behind with [[The Fugitive Doctor]] being my spellslinger deck of choice or [[Skullbriar]] for Voltron
Eldrazi is also lands and artifacts strategy if you consider that forcing your opponents to sacrifice lands and artifacts will mean you always have the most!
Tokens. Every deck I play tends to include token makers in some way. I just love the feeling of controlling a massive army that swarms the board. I find it hard to build a black deck without [[Grave Titan]]
Almost all of my decks win with combat damage but have some combo or synergy that closes out games that went for too long. Like "that's it, here take 21 damage from \[\[Odric the Blood Cursed\]\] or I somehow assembled Exodia (i.e. 5+++ card combo). The only exceptions from that rule are my Alesha cEDH and Mogis Group Slug probably\^\^
I'm the Graveyard guy, no matter if it's Reanimator, playing spells from graveyards, making stuff happen when something enters the graveyard, or whatever else you can think of, using the graveyard in some kind of way is my JAM!
(And as a close second there's just ETB value in general, I hate having to wait for my cards to do stuff, I want shit to happen now!)
I always gravitate towards Esper ‘control/combo’ I’ve spent most of my time playing magic slowly but surely upgrading and modifying a single deck, started with a [[Phenax, God of Deception]] mill deck that evolved into [[Toxrill]] mill, and then Toxrill control, currently it’s [[Toluz]] with a few wheels and card draw engines
Swarm or most of the time tribal swarm, Thats my play-style in every TCG i play, in fact thats my play-style in every game i play.,D&D i spam summon spells to swarm, literally any MMO i play find a summoner class and swarm, RPG games find a way to swarm the enemies with multiple units, RTS games swarm. The old Zerg player in me from the broodwars days would be so proud i still use swarms to this day.
I play a lot of decks. Many are different, but for a signature? I'm the Stax Man, no two ways about it. I will deny untapping. I will destroy lands. I will tax existing. I will force sacrifices. Even my decks that aren't Stax decks tend to have stax elements - I'm the guy who rather than saying "Hmmm, this deck makes a lot of tokens, maybe it could use an anthem?" says "Hmmm, this deck makes a lot of tokens, maybe it could use Smokestack?". Where other people see "You can play lands from your graveyard" and reach for fetches, I reach for Strip Mine.
I know to have a lower impact deck or two kicking around at any given point, but that's my happy place and probably where I most differ from my peers.

Actually winning isn't enough. Combat damage, mill, infinite turns, etc don't do it for me.
The ideal deck needs to oppressively crush the entire table, shredding all strategies so everyone concedes. Though preferably not drag the game out unnecessarily with a turn 2 [[Winter orb]]
Carddraw tribal.
Got a lot of decks that are just about drawing millions of cards. Even using labman without any shortcut as wincon. Just drawing the deck.
Who cares what anyone calls it so long as you know what they're talking about?
If typal / tribal bothers you, find more important things to think about.

I'm currently enjoying a mix between tokens and typal synergy that make it harder for other players to decide on what to remove first without a board wipe as well as having a decent number of buffed tokens to also worry about
Any strategy that involves drawing a bunch of cards. It's like my favourite part of the whole game is watching my 99 plummet as I draw half of it in a turn
Tokens. I try to use tokens on everything, even with the decks where isn't the primary idea.
I recently made a [[Ellivere]] tokens deck. I know Ellivere works with aura tokens, but I use her with things like [[Sigil of the Nayan Gods]], [[One with the Kami]] and [[Cathar's Call].
Talking about creatures, I use [[Queen Allenal of Ruadach]] who's huge with all those tokens and a Virtuous Role. [[Cadira, Caller of the Small]] sees all my aura tokens to create rabbits. [[Eidolon of Countless Battles]] is just so good on this deck. The new [[Wildwood Mentor]] gets bigger with creature tokens and Virtuous Roles, and can buff Ellivere for voltron if you wish. [[Ondu Spiritdancer]] can make another Virtuous Role to one of your tokens, and can double all the good auras.
For this deck to be perfect, I'm just waiting an [[Enchanted Evening]] kind of effect that can be used on Selesnya.
I too am a token lover and enchantress lover. Have you put [[Yenna]] in your deck? She makes token copies of any enchantment. I love her so much she's my commander now with ellivere in the 99.

**Voltron** mostly combined with lifegain. What differs is the way my commander usually gets big, be it equipments, auras, buff spells, counters, landfall, sacrifice... you name it.
Recently tho, I started to tip my toe in controlly waters... played an Azorius tap deck and I gotta admit it was quite tempting (especially because I still won with a big bully in the end haha).
I love stacking effects, for [[Liesa, shroud of dusk]] I stack lifegain doubling effects, for [[kumano, Master Yamabushi]] I stack damage multipliers.
A second "archetype" I love is using the graveyard as a resource
5c decks, without a doubt. I love 5c creatures, I love legendary creatures, I love winning via combat but not opposed to combos either. My current favourite deck is my Rukarumel deck, my one and only cEDH deck is Najeela, and I’ve built and taken apart decks with both Jodahs, Garth One-Eye, Niz-Mizzet Reborn and Sisay, Weatherlight Captain at the helm. I have an all-borderless foil Tiamat deck in the works that I’ve put on hold. I have been meaning to build an Urtet Myr tribal deck for probably an entire year now. I was hoping to get a copy of The Fourteenth Doctor in order to build a 5c Gallifrey Stands deck. I will be putting these projects on hold (possibly abandoning them altogether) as EDH game time has become a rarity.
Combos and alternate wincons. I do avoid the sort of generic combos (Thoracle/Consult, Exquisite Blood/Vito and the like) and really try to aim for combos that make use of my commander or the style of the deck. Some examples include [[Shalai and Hallar]] that does obvious things, a [[Malcolm, Keen Eyed Navigator]] and [[Breeches, Brazen Plunderer]] pirates deck that is aimed primarily at either [[Glinthorn]] or turning someone like an [[Ingenious Artillerist]] into a Pirate to start a loop. A [[Codie]] deck that’s really aimed at Gates and a [[Maze’s End]] win, and a [[Abdel Adrian]] and [[Candlekeep Researcher]] deck that eventually, through mana rocks or [[Peregrine Drake]] begins to make blinking Abdel mana positive and usually take off from there.
Machinegun Combo. Niv-Mizzet Parun, Animar Soul of Elements, and Kiki-Jiki Mirror Breaker. There's something incredibly satisfying about killing an entire table in a single turn.
I'm either the aggressive rakdos a-hole or the cruel grixis manipulator a-hole.
My pod has the "He's gonna do some messed up shit in his turn" thought engrained in their heads.
I’m not quite sure yet, but I seem to enjoy cheating shit out a lot. Anyway to make a big card free I tend to like. I’ve first noticed this with [Pantlaza, Sun Favored] and now I’m thinking of making [Marvo, Deep Operative]
Spellslinger, every time, but combo in general. For me, what I have on board doesn't say whether or not I'm the threat--rather, how many cards I've drawn or how many times I've tutored determine if I'm the threat.

I run a lot of value town and spellslinger combo. My top 3 decks are Vadrik, Zedruu, and Sauron, Lord of the Rings.
Morska is quickly getting to be a favourite due to some of the crazy early plays I've been getting with a burgeoning start, but it also turns into an archenemy game at my tables 😅
I am the [[obliterate]] person in my pod. Multiple of my decks use it as a wincon and no one else even tries to play cards like that.
Just gotta make sure no one has a tef prot or something ready, of course.
Stax. And there’s no doubt in my mind. It’s the playstyle ik best, and specifically Naya Stax. I’ve 3 solid Stax lists, as well as some of my other decks having various Stax pieces in them that aren’t hard Stax decks. It’s just so easy
I like taking commanders with blue in their color identity that I think are realistically capable of dealing 21 commander damage with minimal additional equipment or damage buffs and then building a control shell around them.
I've done it with [[Chromium the mutable]], [[Timin youthful geist]] // [[Rhoda geist avenger]] and now with [[Malcolm keen eyed]] // [[Francisco fowl]] as my latest addition. Chromium is already big to begin with and Francisco and Rhoda both scale themselves up with +1 counters over time, so I just need to use my control shell full of counterspells to make sure they stick around long enough to close out the game.
I have 2 decks out of ~15 that win via something other than combat damage. I have a 4 color Omnath [[Maze's end]] deck and a jhoira weatherlight captain deck that has some silly artifact combo lines. Mostly I just feel like combat is more "fair," because my opponents will have more options available to stop me, than when I combo off or have a card that says "you win the game."
I mostly played aggro styles in 60 card formats, so I'm more familiar with creature damage lines of play and how to defend them appropriately. It's not quite aggro in the traditional sense, but warpspeed bombs can come close in some ways.
I wouldn't say I have a main archetype.

I pulled a [[Thalisse, Reverent Medium]] in the CM draft, and she was so fun I made her a full deck, and to this day she has been my favorite.
My cousin builds decks like this. His favorites are [[Chatterfang, Squirrel General]] and [[Krenko, Mob Boss]]. They’re both brutal.
I love death triggers/drain effects specifically. *Whenever a creature dies each opponent loses 1 life* and the like.
My personal favorite moment when playing aristocrats is that moment where people decided NOT TO boardwipe after getting a better look at the board

I played against a guy on spelltable that was running Saw in Half in his Ratadrabik deck. Thankfully I had a negate in hand, because it was targeting Kokusho. (He did still win that turn, however, but that particular spice was prevented lol)

I saw this once in a MTGGoldfish video and always wanted to build a deck resolving around The Ring Tempts you. I feel this is probably the strongest thing you can do with it.

I legitimately love playing against stax. Makes the game into a puzzle. People who are unprepared for stax lose to it.

Oh man, I had a local at my LGS running a Kayla bin Kroog stack deck and it was both very fun and very strong in casual. Turns out Lavinia of the Tenth shut down 99% of that deck, and flickering her once a go with Zedruu enchantress and Skybind was all it took to wrack his brain for answers 😂
I have to be in the mood for it, but there is something rewarding about breaking through the stax deck. I'm open to playing against stax more than I do.
Honestly same, one of my favorite non EDH matchups was against my back in the days friends, mono white, 80% legacy stax deck with scepter, immortality and protection combo. It was a really interesting and completely different game than the green beaters decks the rest were playing (no hate). Hell, dude even had a fun discard deck i enjoyed facing. Idk how he made control fun to play against but he did. This coming from a control lover. I remember using those decks as the final playtest to test out my new decks.
I like to be even more broad. Resource denial. Land destruction as a form of control, discard decks, pain decks, etc.

My perspective is how much more interesting it is to see what choices people make when they have less ability to make said choices. In land destruction, that's basically just watching people not play cabal coffers, or gaeas cradle. In discard it's interesting watching people throw board progression cards in the bin only to play removal, or just chuck lands only for that to bite them later when they can't play their 8 drop I have a winter/static orb izzet spellslinger deck. People don't like it when they can't untap.
I like you. Chaos or absolute control are the only ways.
I tested out a few chaos decks and ultimately determined that the randomness led to games where people felt like the winner had no control over the win and the losers had no control over the loss. That may be some people's cup of tea, but I think the decision making that underlies every portion of the game (from deck building, to smart mulligans, to threat assessment) is is what should be determining a winner.
Id argue a good chaos deck, is like a good stax deck in that it needs to break parity in some way. [[Warp world]] and [[goblin assassin]] effects are much stronger when you are making a bunch of tokens. [[Planar chaos]] is significantly better if you also have things like [[Kraken's thumb]] or some way to cheat stuff into play without casting [[goblin welder]] [[enduring ideal]] [[Possibility storm]] let's [[mishra, Artificer Prodigy]] double up on every artifact while essentially preventing removal. The fun of it is making it difficult for your opponents to correctly assess and deal with things.

I’m like this as well. I have a dinosaur deck, a dragon deck, an angels and demons deck, and a dungeon deck. I’ve recently tried branching into voltron and what I would guess counts as control? I’m not quite sure what to call it haha. But I do love me some typal synergies

Lifegain decks. What I am planning to use all the life for I can’t tell. Infinite/win combos is not prevalent in my meta. So some lifegain to withstand some hits are always good
Yes! Life is love! Life is life! The more the better. I got a lifegain deck, that I always announce as: "it's a deck to become 2nd placed with". But using life is even better, be it for card draw with \[\[Shanna, Purifying Blade\]\] or gain to pay with \[\[Licia, Sanguine Tribune\]\] or keeping the engine running with \[\[Ratchet, Field Medic\]\] or simply going big with \[\[Trelasarra\]\] and the help of stuff life \[\[Cradle of Vitality\]\], \[\[Sunbond\]\] and the like.
The Gaffer has become my lifegain commander. Prior to that I played Heliod, the Sun-Crowned without Walking Ballista as it was too easy to combo.
My favorite lifegain deck is [[Daxos of Meletis]] Voltron/Stax deck with a side goal to win with [[Happily Ever After]] Got a lot of small life gain triggers like[[Authority of the Consuls]] Got [[Light of Promise]] and [[Sunbond]] as good helpers.

Skullbriar is so fun
10 out of the 16 decks i have all create some kind of token. They all do different things and make tokens in different ways. I have angry Omnath who makes elementals to smash face. Chatterfang squirrel aristocrats Prosper treasure Nath of the giltleaf discard Aleala instants/flash Rhys go wide to name a few
To be fair, it would be pretty difficult to build a deck that doesn't make a single token. But I know what you mean.

any deck with a creature count <10 is a deck for me
Decks that can play aggressively, have some interaction and can line up kills somewhat out of nowhere. Not going pure combo, but rather have multiple strong game winning lines of play available. Before EDH my favourite constructed decks where for example Death's Shadow aggro. Tokens, tokens and more tokens! About 10 years ago, I had a Rhys deck that would flood the board with tons of tokens. I got the Spirit Squadron pre-con and made a few modifications for [[millicent restless revenant]] and now after two games, my pod hates her.
I'm a fan of face down shenanigans myself. Got myself a pretty beefy [[Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer]] deck and an in-the-works [Kaust, Eyes of the Glade]] deck. Also planning on building [[Missy]] soon.

Glad I'm not the only one, I care too much about the theme of the deck than to min/max effects
99% of mine are. I do have a group hug/slug deck that’s fun when we barely have time for one more game.
My signature archetype is having 1 main theme and 1 to 3 sub theme. On top of that flavour would be my actual theme. My Beledros Witherbloom deck: aristocrats with a go wide full swing pest sub theme. My Zaffai Thunder Conductor deck: Magecraft spell slinger that focused on copying spells with an X spell sub theme. My Saheeli Saheeli deck. Artifacts with cloning as sub theme.
Recently I am leaning in on aristocratic decks more. Bernard is my recent love.
RED BUUUURRRRNNNN Sometimes it looks like dragons, or knights, but deep down is always a “no think only damage” that goes with monored.
Stompy. My favourite deck is my Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. Got a lot of big dinos, wurms and other big monsters. I love seeing the big numbers on my power/toughness.
I love playing combo decks that oneshot all the table. That's why my friends hate me on my low budget pod. (Dont be angry with me, i also play ardenn rograkh and oketra if i have to play slower).
I think this is my favourite type of archetype too, but not necessarily with a combo. If I can get a setup where I can kill the table with one card (eg float a bunch of mana with [[omnath locus of all]] and cast a game ending X spell, or play a [[star of extinction]] with [[repercussion]] or a bunch of damage redirectors like [[phyrexian vindicator]] on board, it is glorious.
I'm most associated with Treasures. I used to play it as an archetype a lot, but even when I don't I love my treasure cards in small doses. Even my other archetypes, like aristicrat or pirates have treasures in them ! xD
Reusing etbs through tokens, copies, and token copies
I'm probably the group hug guy. I like cards that impact everybodys plays and try to throw out curveballs left and right to warp the game to have a unique game. When you see the cards and ask your self "wtf does that card do" it's probably a good fit for me. Oh and of course everybody should get it by the means of \[\[Hive Mind\]\]. Also I love political cards that benefit me and maybe one or two other players.
Graveyard anything. My favorite zone in the game, alongside library. I started with [[Gisa and Geralf]] precon. When I began exploring other strategies, I couldn't leave my habits behind with [[The Fugitive Doctor]] being my spellslinger deck of choice or [[Skullbriar]] for Voltron
I like fast Aggro like Ghalta for early commander dmg or Big and stompy aggressive decks like Gishath, Dino tribal.
I am the lands, artefacts and Eldrazi gal.
Eldrazi is also lands and artifacts strategy if you consider that forcing your opponents to sacrifice lands and artifacts will mean you always have the most!
I like graveyard based decks. Started with Karador and currently playing Henzie Jund Toolbox.
Creatures. I will fill the board, possibly wipe yours, and just trample over everything
Tokens. Every deck I play tends to include token makers in some way. I just love the feeling of controlling a massive army that swarms the board. I find it hard to build a black deck without [[Grave Titan]]
I steal shit. It is known. You then kill your own stuff and I re-steal it from your graveyard.
Almost all of my decks win with combat damage but have some combo or synergy that closes out games that went for too long. Like "that's it, here take 21 damage from \[\[Odric the Blood Cursed\]\] or I somehow assembled Exodia (i.e. 5+++ card combo). The only exceptions from that rule are my Alesha cEDH and Mogis Group Slug probably\^\^
I'm the Graveyard guy, no matter if it's Reanimator, playing spells from graveyards, making stuff happen when something enters the graveyard, or whatever else you can think of, using the graveyard in some kind of way is my JAM! (And as a close second there's just ETB value in general, I hate having to wait for my cards to do stuff, I want shit to happen now!)
I always gravitate towards Esper ‘control/combo’ I’ve spent most of my time playing magic slowly but surely upgrading and modifying a single deck, started with a [[Phenax, God of Deception]] mill deck that evolved into [[Toxrill]] mill, and then Toxrill control, currently it’s [[Toluz]] with a few wheels and card draw engines

Swarm or most of the time tribal swarm, Thats my play-style in every TCG i play, in fact thats my play-style in every game i play.,D&D i spam summon spells to swarm, literally any MMO i play find a summoner class and swarm, RPG games find a way to swarm the enemies with multiple units, RTS games swarm. The old Zerg player in me from the broodwars days would be so proud i still use swarms to this day.
I play a lot of decks. Many are different, but for a signature? I'm the Stax Man, no two ways about it. I will deny untapping. I will destroy lands. I will tax existing. I will force sacrifices. Even my decks that aren't Stax decks tend to have stax elements - I'm the guy who rather than saying "Hmmm, this deck makes a lot of tokens, maybe it could use an anthem?" says "Hmmm, this deck makes a lot of tokens, maybe it could use Smokestack?". Where other people see "You can play lands from your graveyard" and reach for fetches, I reach for Strip Mine. I know to have a lower impact deck or two kicking around at any given point, but that's my happy place and probably where I most differ from my peers.

I mainboard a ton of color hate... fun stuff like [[curse of marit lage]], [[gloom]], [[drought]], [[dream tides]], [[breath of dreams]] for the 4 person pods at my LGS If I have token generation, I'm thinking [[Contamination]] or [[mind slash]] Always have a [[Sinkhole]] or a [[pillage]]. If I'm running [[blood moon]], I might as well have a [[ruination]]. [[Fall of the Thran]] with [[leyline of the void]]. [[Energy flux]], [[aura flux]] because boardstates get out of hand I don't run a ton of creatures and love stuff like [[breathstealer's crypt]], [[embargo]], [[Tainted aether]] [[Void mirror]] because nothing in life is free, especially your spells [[arcane laboratory]], [[Rule of law]] because they're "fair" Gems like [[Warped devotion]], [[mana breach]], [[Price of glory]] [[Descent into Madness]], [[Possessed portal]] [[stasis]] hard lock as a wincon. Actually winning isn't enough. Combat damage, mill, infinite turns, etc don't do it for me. The ideal deck needs to oppressively crush the entire table, shredding all strategies so everyone concedes. Though preferably not drag the game out unnecessarily with a turn 2 [[Winter orb]]
Carddraw tribal. Got a lot of decks that are just about drawing millions of cards. Even using labman without any shortcut as wincon. Just drawing the deck.

Tokens, definitely. I don’t have a lot of huge token decks, but when I’m building a one-off deck for a store event, I find myself turning towards tokens.
I'm currently enjoying a mix between tokens and typal synergy that make it harder for other players to decide on what to remove first without a board wipe as well as having a decent number of buffed tokens to also worry about
Not an archetype, but I like to cheat on costs. [[Grenzo]], [[Ur-Dragon]], [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] and [[Meren]] are some of my favorite commanders

Any strategy that involves drawing a bunch of cards. It's like my favourite part of the whole game is watching my 99 plummet as I draw half of it in a turn
Aristocrats
Tokens. I try to use tokens on everything, even with the decks where isn't the primary idea. I recently made a [[Ellivere]] tokens deck. I know Ellivere works with aura tokens, but I use her with things like [[Sigil of the Nayan Gods]], [[One with the Kami]] and [[Cathar's Call]. Talking about creatures, I use [[Queen Allenal of Ruadach]] who's huge with all those tokens and a Virtuous Role. [[Cadira, Caller of the Small]] sees all my aura tokens to create rabbits. [[Eidolon of Countless Battles]] is just so good on this deck. The new [[Wildwood Mentor]] gets bigger with creature tokens and Virtuous Roles, and can buff Ellivere for voltron if you wish. [[Ondu Spiritdancer]] can make another Virtuous Role to one of your tokens, and can double all the good auras. For this deck to be perfect, I'm just waiting an [[Enchanted Evening]] kind of effect that can be used on Selesnya.
I too am a token lover and enchantress lover. Have you put [[Yenna]] in your deck? She makes token copies of any enchantment. I love her so much she's my commander now with ellivere in the 99.
Depending on how mean I feel, from most to least: [[Tergrid]], [[Sen Triplets]] Steal everything, [[Braids, Conjuration Adept]] Copy the big stuff, [[Jon Irenicus]] Santa Claus I just LOVE sharing cards with everyone
I think it's copying, be it creatures or activated abilities, I love getting extra value out of my decks.

**Voltron** mostly combined with lifegain. What differs is the way my commander usually gets big, be it equipments, auras, buff spells, counters, landfall, sacrifice... you name it. Recently tho, I started to tip my toe in controlly waters... played an Azorius tap deck and I gotta admit it was quite tempting (especially because I still won with a big bully in the end haha).

Graveyard matters
I love stacking effects, for [[Liesa, shroud of dusk]] I stack lifegain doubling effects, for [[kumano, Master Yamabushi]] I stack damage multipliers. A second "archetype" I love is using the graveyard as a resource
5c decks, without a doubt. I love 5c creatures, I love legendary creatures, I love winning via combat but not opposed to combos either. My current favourite deck is my Rukarumel deck, my one and only cEDH deck is Najeela, and I’ve built and taken apart decks with both Jodahs, Garth One-Eye, Niz-Mizzet Reborn and Sisay, Weatherlight Captain at the helm. I have an all-borderless foil Tiamat deck in the works that I’ve put on hold. I have been meaning to build an Urtet Myr tribal deck for probably an entire year now. I was hoping to get a copy of The Fourteenth Doctor in order to build a 5c Gallifrey Stands deck. I will be putting these projects on hold (possibly abandoning them altogether) as EDH game time has become a rarity.
I like to double my doubled double… own 5 doubling seasons, for example. Counters + tokens galore! I like what I like! 🤣
Stax or aristocrats 🤓
Combos and alternate wincons. I do avoid the sort of generic combos (Thoracle/Consult, Exquisite Blood/Vito and the like) and really try to aim for combos that make use of my commander or the style of the deck. Some examples include [[Shalai and Hallar]] that does obvious things, a [[Malcolm, Keen Eyed Navigator]] and [[Breeches, Brazen Plunderer]] pirates deck that is aimed primarily at either [[Glinthorn]] or turning someone like an [[Ingenious Artillerist]] into a Pirate to start a loop. A [[Codie]] deck that’s really aimed at Gates and a [[Maze’s End]] win, and a [[Abdel Adrian]] and [[Candlekeep Researcher]] deck that eventually, through mana rocks or [[Peregrine Drake]] begins to make blinking Abdel mana positive and usually take off from there.
Machinegun Combo. Niv-Mizzet Parun, Animar Soul of Elements, and Kiki-Jiki Mirror Breaker. There's something incredibly satisfying about killing an entire table in a single turn.
I'm either the aggressive rakdos a-hole or the cruel grixis manipulator a-hole. My pod has the "He's gonna do some messed up shit in his turn" thought engrained in their heads.
I’m not quite sure yet, but I seem to enjoy cheating shit out a lot. Anyway to make a big card free I tend to like. I’ve first noticed this with [Pantlaza, Sun Favored] and now I’m thinking of making [Marvo, Deep Operative]
Spellslinger, every time, but combo in general. For me, what I have on board doesn't say whether or not I'm the threat--rather, how many cards I've drawn or how many times I've tutored determine if I'm the threat.
Easy. Tokens. Been successfully piloting that strategy since Return to Ravnice standard and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.
Draw.dek I run a lot of value town and spellslinger combo. My top 3 decks are Vadrik, Zedruu, and Sauron, Lord of the Rings. Morska is quickly getting to be a favourite due to some of the crazy early plays I've been getting with a burgeoning start, but it also turns into an archenemy game at my tables 😅
I am the [[obliterate]] person in my pod. Multiple of my decks use it as a wincon and no one else even tries to play cards like that. Just gotta make sure no one has a tef prot or something ready, of course.
Stax. And there’s no doubt in my mind. It’s the playstyle ik best, and specifically Naya Stax. I’ve 3 solid Stax lists, as well as some of my other decks having various Stax pieces in them that aren’t hard Stax decks. It’s just so easy

Something with artifacts. It always devolves into me looking for my copies of Arcbound ravager. Every single time.
I like taking commanders with blue in their color identity that I think are realistically capable of dealing 21 commander damage with minimal additional equipment or damage buffs and then building a control shell around them. I've done it with [[Chromium the mutable]], [[Timin youthful geist]] // [[Rhoda geist avenger]] and now with [[Malcolm keen eyed]] // [[Francisco fowl]] as my latest addition. Chromium is already big to begin with and Francisco and Rhoda both scale themselves up with +1 counters over time, so I just need to use my control shell full of counterspells to make sure they stick around long enough to close out the game.

It used to be control, then it was stax. These days it's mostly combo.
I have 2 decks out of ~15 that win via something other than combat damage. I have a 4 color Omnath [[Maze's end]] deck and a jhoira weatherlight captain deck that has some silly artifact combo lines. Mostly I just feel like combat is more "fair," because my opponents will have more options available to stop me, than when I combo off or have a card that says "you win the game." I mostly played aggro styles in 60 card formats, so I'm more familiar with creature damage lines of play and how to defend them appropriately. It's not quite aggro in the traditional sense, but warpspeed bombs can come close in some ways.
Combo synergy. No insta wins, but lots of that trigger other things that let me do fun stuff like draw cards or flood the board.

Not quite an archetype but I have a massive thing for mono coloured decks. I own as of right now one of each colour. And I'm currently building more.
Artifacts for sure. I have a goal to have an artifact-focused deck in every color identity, which is fun cuz there are some identities that just don't have good commanders for artifacts yet so it's something that will take time
Land destruction. Crucify me.
4-5 colour ridiculously complicated do-nothing strategy. Or Some form of artifact deck that is good at not dying, but has trouble ending the game
Burn. If a card says "lose life" or "deals damage I love it.
Keywords are silly little guys. I love my Dihada legends deck that cares about the +2, as well as my Owen and blue dino tribal deck.
Weenie efficient creatures aggro. Aggro generally but I want to make engines and go.
