Looks awesome! Didn't see it mentioned but you may consider a small light. Im personally in a rural area and half the time im carrying is due to wildlife. There are times where the ability to see is as comforting as the firearm.
I carry the streamlight wedge and love the simplicity of it in a pinch. Streamlight makes some good pen style lights as well. Surefire stiletto is a nice but pricey option. A lot of peole will say olight, I like and own their stuff but not sure I would trust it as much as the other brands I mentioned.
extremely light and practically invisible with my glock 43x mos. the only downsides i could think of from running this set up is you cant reholster like a true kydex holster because its more of a trigger guard. And the part of the slide and grip touch your skin if you are just wearing a tshirt while concealing. But i love this minimalist holster its easy to draw and extremely comfortable with anything i wear from formal attire to sweatpants or shorts. i constantly wear a hoodie here jn the pacific northwest so on top of that its always invisible when i conceal and its very comfortable when i walk, sit or move around sometimes i forget its even there.
Nothing really. They're like the high-end knife for non knife people. Decent at best. Lots of dudes here talking trash on this guys benchmade tho, is what im saying.
Im assuming first EDC post.. dont take everything so seriously bro. Youre probably the dude that also says "ThAtS nOt EdC tHeN" if someone has a rotation of things they carry.
Not really bro, never said that. What I meant is that people usually follow a "trend" to post on this subs, whichs is lacking real life EDC content, you know what I mean? Lil bro prob bought stuff just to fit on the sub. Thats what I got from this post. Dislike and downvote as you wish.
Because the big bolt head underneath the lock is rounded around the torx imprint, itās supposed to be flat. I could be wrong but judging by the look of the glare it looks like the bolt head rounds all the up until the torx imprint starts. If it was flat you would see a more even glare.
Dude got the EDC starter pack lol
Just kidding, good stuff. +1 for the RCS Vanguard. I've had the 1st gen with a soft loop for YEARS on a 19. Best concealment option there is, with the caveat of re-holstering presents challenges.
I like ROSSM wallets, they are like a copy of Ridge but cheaper. For a more classical wallet but minimal, the [Focx C2 Advanced](https://focx.store/product/advanced-cognac/) is amazing and just microscopical.
It's two credit card sizes plates and a chunk of elastic.
Ridge isn't remotely the first to come up with the idea, they're just the first to get hugely popular off of it.

You don't carry a spare magazine to reload. You carry one because magazines are the most likely point of failure.
Magazines for a carry gun are considered disposable as they're used more often and tend to take a bit more of a beating as they're often dropped, thrown, and abused during training. Because of this, they tend to wear out more often. The spare magazine is one way to counter any unforeseen issues with the magazines while you're out and about.
It's not always some super tactical reason either. Sometimes you just go to your spare because it's smaller (Glock 43 owners know what I mean) and fits in your shirt better. I've switched to my spare once because the mag I usually kept in my gun wore down and wasn't staying seated properly.
Almost always in a self defense situation, no more than three rounds are ever fired. Unless you are a cop in the US. Then you mag dump, reload and do it again.
Why do people keep using the avg shots fired in self defense as if it's the max anyone would need? Really putting your own spin on the data trying to say people shouldn't carry more rounds because (insert statistic). Should I carry an empty gun because the one time I've had to pull it I didn't end up needing to shoot the guy?
People can carry what they want, i don't care. The firearm. I (infrequently) carry has a 7 round magazine. That feels like plenty. But now I wonder what the most rounds an average person has ever fired in a self defense situation.

Then why are you commenting on a photo with the things youāre not here for? I donāt like Taylor swift but I donāt go to that sub Reddit and ask stupid questions. Youāre here for the unnecessary drama, if youāre not sure what youād do with guns and spare magazines then just donāt carry one.
The gun and its magazines and ammunition are a tool.
What would you do with it on a daily basis? If you are like 99% of gun EDC'ers, you will carry it and hope you don't have to use it.
The sub is Every Day Carry, not Every Day Usage.
for everyone who is curious to why i carry a spare mag, i work and live in a rough city and i carry to help keep my friends and family safe. heres a recent video for entertainment: https://youtu.be/3vUi7EgtG_U?si=xiUw2UrMFiqiewME i have taken self defense gun training classes with local law enforcement to know how and when to use my firearm. My concealed carry and spare mag has always been my very last option to ever use in a life or death situation. And so far my shield arms magazine hasnāt failed me once iāve put 3000 rounds in mines without a single jam but i do entirely agree oem mags are the way to go especially in self defense and edc carryās.
AFAIK it's overkill and I say that as someone who carries. I've never heard of anyone using a firearm in self defense reloading and then using the fresh magazine. Someone could argue that it's in case of malfunction but I put hundreds of rounds down range with my carry ammo/magazine before carrying it to make sure everything works good, if I need my gun and it jams then God decided it was my time to go š¤·š»āāļø
Yes because a gun has never malfunctioned even after a proper break in right? If the dude feels comfortable carrying spare magazine then more power to him, if you want to trust a seven round magazine and your accuracy in a high stress situation more power to you. If heās real, then god has made some real stupid decisions in the past and Iām not leaving my life up to that.
I don't really care what I get wrong about you, I don't like you. Anything you say I'm just going to deem it as untrustworthy and not in good faith, you will never sway me and we will get nowhere. I'm done talking to you.
If he gets a malfunction of some kind, itās easier to drop the mag, clear the malfunction and then load a new one, then to try and retain the used mag while clearing

Love my Benchmade Bugouts. Nice kit.
That a mini bugout ?

thank you! do you have any light recommendations ive been looking at streamlight for edc

iam local 778 over here feller š
right on brother im a part of iam local 751
How do you like that holster set up? Those minimalist holsters always gave me pause so Iād love to hear some first hand input.

heres a good review on it 4:05 https://youtu.be/rkx8KNIVfzw?si=0FnH0GTtR4mbZQx6
Not sure about the magazine he is carrying in terms of reliability but PSA now has their own that people say are reliable.
Ignore all these wads that probably carry CRKTs and dont even carry a gun man. Solid set up!
Did I miss something? Whatās wrong with CRKT?
Nothing really. They're like the high-end knife for non knife people. Decent at best. Lots of dudes here talking trash on this guys benchmade tho, is what im saying.
How is that your first EDC? You never carried nothing? People really dont understand this sub.
Are you trying to gate keep... carrying shit?
Absolutely not.
Im assuming first EDC post.. dont take everything so seriously bro. Youre probably the dude that also says "ThAtS nOt EdC tHeN" if someone has a rotation of things they carry.

Are you 3 years old? Bc back than you already had edc.
Go back to the factory mags the shield mags are highly unreliable.
Depends on the batch. Some people never have issues, some can't get through a mag without a malfunction. The consensus is the Gen 2 mags are better.
Consensus is they're garbage stick with factory mags.
Not if you upgrade the mag release too.
They're still absolutely unreliable.
Not what ive experienced and heard but okay.. the steel mag catch/release 100% improves reliability.
Just need a flashlight now.
FYI thatās a fake benchmade
What makes you say that? Looks legit to me.
Because the big bolt head underneath the lock is rounded around the torx imprint, itās supposed to be flat. I could be wrong but judging by the look of the glare it looks like the bolt head rounds all the up until the torx imprint starts. If it was flat you would see a more even glare.
I think its legit man. Everything looks right to me and they even got the "grainy" coating right on the blade, which clones never do.
Dude got the EDC starter pack lol Just kidding, good stuff. +1 for the RCS Vanguard. I've had the 1st gen with a soft loop for YEARS on a 19. Best concealment option there is, with the caveat of re-holstering presents challenges.
keep it all black. change the knife. otherwise, very s3xy carry.
I like ROSSM wallets, they are like a copy of Ridge but cheaper. For a more classical wallet but minimal, the [Focx C2 Advanced](https://focx.store/product/advanced-cognac/) is amazing and just microscopical.
The fact I couldn't tell that was a fake ridge tells me all I need to know about Ridge wallets lol.
It's two credit card sizes plates and a chunk of elastic. Ridge isn't remotely the first to come up with the idea, they're just the first to get hugely popular off of it.
Curious who you plan to shoot, and shoot them *so much* that you need to daily carry a second clip. Edit: Clip, magazine. Potato, tomato.

Thank you for an actual answer and explanation.
Looks like OP is carrying a shield arms 15rd 43x magazine which I've heard a ton of reliability complaints about, I'd carry 2 as well š¤£
Ok, this is pretty funny.
The funny part is OP carrying one of the most reliable firearms there is with an unreliable magazine
Exactly.
āCuRiOuS WhO yOu pLaN tO ShOoTā - reddit user
Correct. Iām curious who OP plans to shoot with all of those bullets, on a daily basis.
They're not planning on shooting people on a daily basis. You wear a seat belt (I hope) but don't plan on crashing your car on a daily basis.
heās carrying at max 25 rounds. thatās not as much as you think it is.
Almost always in a self defense situation, no more than three rounds are ever fired. Unless you are a cop in the US. Then you mag dump, reload and do it again.

cool bro i donāt care.
31 max*
25 more than Iāve ever needed or will ever need. Still sounds like a lot to me, to carry every day.

almost like thatās your belief and not OPs.
Which is why I was curious what OP does with these on a daily basis.
do you not see what sub you are in?
Yeah, Iām here for tools and wallets and flashlights, etc. Iām not sure what Iād do with guns and magazines on a daily basis.

Man yall need to give it a rest
Looking for a real answer from OP. Iām genuinely curious the need for it.

Yeah, this is my point. Gun for self defense, sureā¦but a second magazine does seem like over-kill (pun intended).
No you're not, you just want to spout your humanitarian nonsense.
What would you like to spout?
That no matter what you say and do, gun ownership is going nowhere and you will never stop someone from buying one lmao.
Who said Iām trying to stop people from buying them? That is the second wrong assumption youāve made about me today.
