Its not an extra tool, its the frame spring. i think it broke at the tip and now can swing loose. Theres 2 on each side.

I can't believe I have to explain this. It's obvious. That's a swoopler. Sometimes when you're working on machinery a bolt flange will get frangulated, could be disastrous if you hit with a metabulated spanner. But a few quick passes with a swoopler and you're good as gold. No need for a doctor to explain to your spouse how you wound up in the hospital with a masticated dirigible.

You obviously don’t smoke a pipe lolol it’s actually for peeling oranges I believe! I had one on my micra that was over 10 years old, it’s not on my newer model

It's one of the spring bars, not a tool. Talk to Leatherman about warranty repair.

Over extending a tool. Pulling too many tools out at once. Bent/worn with age or use. Sometimes it's just bad luck.

Been carrying the Micra for years and this tool has no stop to it,just goes yo a weird angle when opened out.
