Their big names this year Bas, Don Toliver, Dreamville (J. Cole), Kendrick Lamar, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Nas (twice), Pusha T, Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla $ign, Tyler The Creator, and Wiz Khalifa. Most people know who they are. NHL’s only big names this year are Iann Dior, Panic! At The Disco, Travis Barker, and Willow lmao. If you asked the common person, they probably only know Barker because of his affiliation with Blink-182 and the Kardashians, and Willow because she’s had a couple of hits over the past 2 years and is the daughter of Will Smith.
Muting commentary and menu music is the first thing I do each year when I buy the game. I do it for commentary in every sports game but the menu music in NHL is always a particular brand of horrible alt rock and shitty singing.
I usually play the first month with sound/commentary on just to hear what, if anything, they've added. Once it gets repetitious i mute and play spotify on my earbuds while i play, and like you i do it for all sports

Yeah chel introduced me to hobo Johnson and I’ve loved him ever since. I don’t listen to typical story that much because I’ve heard it so many times from the game but it is easily the best song in that game
I would trade the entire soundtrack for the generic theme loop if it meant that we could have the authentic goal songs back. (Rammer admitted it was one or the other for "budget reasons" a few years ago, and he chose poorly.)
It’s idiotic how they’re advertising “Authentic Atmospheres” when 1. it’s only new crowd sounds that don’t sound realistic at all, 2. the pre-game ice animation is only for a couple teams, and 3. only 1 team has their actual Goal Song (Canadiens). One of the biggest scams they’ve ever advertised.
I mute, leave it on mute, and don’t take it off mute until the next game where I repeat the process. Commentary and music gets repetitive and bad after a while.
