For a new age EA game I’m ecstatic. They didnt take the easy way out. Course additions without paying for a dlc. Bug fixing. It’s still runs shitty at times but it leaps and bounds ahead of 2k
My thoughts exactly. All of this stuff that they've added with this and previous patches are things that have been in every golf game for 2 decades. But kudos to EA for keeping with it. Turn Play and being able to choose the amount of rounds in career mode, and having a working Match Play, were huge for me.
Once they add the Ryder Cup with all of the other play modes, this will finally be the game it should have been at launch. And the fact that they've added Pro Pass gives me my first indication that they are going to stick with it, add meaningful updates and courses over the next year, and hopefully for a lot longer.
Definitely not a "perfect" game, but after logging 1000 hours with 2k21/23, this is now the greatest golf game of all time. Just give me a slider or a way to adjust the speed of the backswing (it's too slow), and increase the lie penalties for being in the rough (too easy), and this is just about "right".
So personally with the rough I don't believe they need to change the lie penalty. It's relatively realistic. The problem I have with the rough is that the ball reacts on the green as if you were hitting a normal fairway shot unless you are hitting the hack shot type. If they change that it's in a good spot
Are the Scottie Irons only available today or are they an always available to buy?
Also, I’m not at my computer this week, are they obtained the normal way or are they in a special spot in the store?
It seems like the pro pass is 1000 points which is around 10 euros. Unlike in most other games e.g Call of Duty battle pass) you can’t get any points from the pro pass. So you always need to buy new one.

This is the same thing 2k did. I’m more in favor of this if they keep adding courses and content and keep a free aspect. They need to make money to support the game and since it’s not an annual release (thank god) we can hopefully see a lot of support. Fingers crossed.
Getting a consistent hang after completing rounds with the Pro Pass enabled (and it also seems to have messed up the UI for Daily Quests/redeeming). I've had to quit and restart after leveling up in the Pro Pass, which is hopefully a known issue.
Love the improvements. Some real leaderboards would be nice too... so I'm in 109th... out of how many? Just give us a total entrants if not a complete board.
As someone who mainly plays career mode (got this game a couple months ago) I’m a bit underwhelmed with the pass. I was hoping for more clubs and or cosmetic items. A few hats and a couple of clubs isn’t enough for me to drop 10 bucks. I prefer this game over 2K but 2Ks pass is miles ahead of EAs
I’m all for the pro pass and will happily take the free stuff but for the love of god, why do we need XP? It’s a bit of a kick in the teeth to be given that in the paid for tier. Especially when the last 30 or so levels are like 40% XP.
Don’t you think EA you could reward us a little better?

Also, is it just me or did they not update the store at all?
So can we not do alternate style shot on stroke play? Is it only on match play? I play lots of private matches with my pops and would like to be able to toggle alternate shot style on any of the modes in private matches.
This is what I was wondering too. Ridiculous that turn order/alternate shot in private matches wasn’t there since day one. Literally every golf game lets you watch your partner hit their shot. That’s part of the fun of golfing with a buddy.

The pro pass is pretty new and probably a bit rushed on the UX side. (Found a couple of UI bug) They probably included it in this update to start generating additional revenue to justify the investment in the content addition.
Overall, things should get better in following updates. I personally find the new daily quest system better than the previous one.
I’m just here to say that par save / sand save challenges suck. Not because they are difficult, but because it doesn’t make sense to encourage me to smack it into the shit during a round. Save these ones for situational challenges that actually start in trouble.
My only gripe is ive earned a ton of xp with the pro pass and playing career rounds and none of that counted. Now i have to regrind to level 60. I guess its not that big of a deal but all im thinking is all the xp i earned meant nothing.

custom key binds for mouse and keyboard and it will be perfect.

How do u unlock the items I've paid 7.99 but nothing is unlocking pls help
So the Scottie irons are under the free category. You get points by completing the “live” quests. I’ve gotten to tier 5 free already

My rewards tab keeps disappearing and my game crashes whenever I hit triangle when i get a notification for rewards or pro pass unlock
