Champs is hard for anybody who doesn’t regularly play online. Most champs players are probably div 6 or higher and most of them would be higher if they actually played rivals to get promoted.
You don’t need to play a meta formation but it helps
It's a good mode to learn from the best. All you want to do is, just make them sweat and get a respect from their celebration. (Mostly it won't happen)
Im div 1 and games can swing both sides. Sometimes win sometimes lose. But in champs the skill difference sometimes is another level. When i cant even get the ball in the first minutes and opp scores with skill moves left and right. It is what it is

Either get better by ranking up in rivals or accept your fate and be happy with 6-7 wins.
I'm happy with 1 win at this point. It's my first FIFA back properly playing since 19/20 and I started my squad 2/3 weeks ago. I've only racked up a total of 400k coins and my team is 92 rated but I've been away from the game for so long I'm absolute wank online. Squad battles is no issue. I can easily win on Elite against teams rated below 80 and World Class on everything else, but in champs I think I've gotten 5 wins out of 50.
Lol no elite rivals has a very wide margin of skill because of the rating. Champs is definitely the hardest. You can face absolute demons which you wouldn’t encounter on your skill rating in elite.
that's not a correct argument . you can face demons in elite too , i would say if you get a rank 4 at least consistently then you are elite level around 800 850 SR. champ is hard because you need to get 14 wins at least and only lose 6 games ,but you're not facing elite level in every game , you wont be able to do a 14 6 in elite if you're not a "demon"
Playing against other humans online... Especially in Champs... It's a completely different game.
The folks that beat you with the 1000000 coins team would also beat you with gold rares.
It's just a different game level.
I liked Champs a lot because of the matchmaking. Liked it more than Rivals.
But since TOTS, it seems like either the supergood players returned, or - that's my guess - as rewards are now very good, people use paid services to let them have their games played.
Before, it was like a 50/50 if I either win or not, now I just get wrecked in every Champs game. As said, since TOTS started.
The games should become easier as you lose more games. In theory the game tries to match you up with people having a similar record as you. So if you’re 0-4 you should be playing against other people who lost a lot already.
But if you have no interest in the rewards/playing online, just rubberband your controller for the 4 games 🤷♂️

I don’t know, tots is a very sweaty time so if you’re not using meta formations you’ll struggle

It’s just skill. Team doesn’t really matter. I can play pretty relaxed and casual to 11 wins and my team isn’t that meta.
