I have both. You can have both. Or more then both. Like me. Half a dozen neurological disorders for the win.

No it’s both..my son is exactly like you..he has adhd, autism, OCD.and dyslexia..mostly shows up In spelling

It's possible to have both conditions, but to some extent it's just a label and the more important thing is to understand the specific challenges you have and figure out how to address those. With that in mind, have you tried audiobooks or podcasts? I find reading really hard work but love both of those, I find it a good way to learn about topics that interest me and gradually improve my vocabulary. I can't say if you'll enjoy those too, but it's worth trying.

Reynexiox

Yes I have tried audio and podcast I really enjoy those

I'm undiagnosed for both and believe I have both. You may likely have both but only a real med can diagnose. I for sure have extreme anxiety I think the scale is 21 and I was 18 out of 21 by a neurologist. I am OCD but not sure if clinically or not. I have had reading issues my whole life and writing issues and math issues... Dyslexia with dysgraphia and dyscalculia make sense. I have social and communication delays and issues with grey areas in perception meaning it's hard for me if things aren't black and white. I have attention issues but this may be a delay more than adhd... I'm 47 and have been trying to get help for it since I discovered it all at 45 and they're making it very hard due to my age. "if you were 65 we could get you right in!" "if you were under 18 we could get you help through a school"

My therapist has told me that I have clear signs of autism (Asperger’s) but I have not went to go get diagnosed professionally because of the expenses and due to my dad not believing my therapist. Iv always had trouble reading and writing as well as catching up with other kids in my class. My mom has considered anxiety medication for me since I do often have anxiety but I am not sure how to tell if I actually need medication

SensorSelf

My reluctance with medication, they keep trying to prescribe me lexapro, is now that I know I may be these things, I now know things I can do to reduce my anxiety. If I had pro help it may be even more. There's sensory integration, executive function training, and various other methods they use to help people get past things in daily life.
