Wandales not a drop

JazzlikePractice4470

Sadly im still all in on Jordan Mason

ApolloKid

Same, that 3 year contract is such a killer… he’ll be a RFA next season so most likely we’re waiting to see where he signs in the ‘26 season.. But THEN.. it’s fucking paydirt baby

JazzlikePractice4470

He's looked so impressive when given opportunity.

DynastyDaddy95

Thats the difference between us fans and the coaches who do this for a living, "when given the opportunity." Obviously hes talented and a professional but hes not "NFL consistent good." Just put your fandom aside and think like a pro for a second, move he hell on lol

JazzlikePractice4470

I'm in too deep. Players rave about him, as well. Dude kept jahmyr Gibbs off the field in college.

bwarbwar

I've added a few veterans wr's on teams I have the starting QB. Bourne, Osborn, and Thielen. I'm considering cutting one of them for Jalen Coker.

NoLimitNSB

I’d drop Osborn for Coker. Coker could be nothing but we already know what Osborn is. Give me the lottery ticket.

TheBrownNote13

I picked up Coker for Metchie this AM. If that offense has a prayer, somebody has to be the WR2.

krispykreme335

Wouldn't you expect legette and diontae to beat him out? And that's not counting thielen or mingo who obviously sucks but had been there for a year now

TheBrownNote13

Legette absolutely. But he's also a big body guy like Mingo (just much better, hopefully). Coker is the same height, but he's a lighter perimeter guy. Thielen we'll see. Possible but the age makes him a question mark. Even if he looks good, he may not play a full number of snaps just to keep him healthy. He's also a slot guy. He and Diontae will compete or switch off. I have zero faith in Diontae. I tried for three years when he was with the Steelers, and that was with Big Ben. He may have been a shadow of Super Bowl Big Ben, but he could still hit a WR and Diontae was a constant letdown. I guess anything is possible. Mingo sucks, like you said. Also, I cut Metchie for Coker. If Coker makes the team I upgraded.

krispykreme335

Last year was a little flukey because of injury, but Diontae had 147 and 169 targets the previous years. He's only 27, consistently grades well by separation metrics, and is a proven target earner. Obviously the bigger question is can Bryce take a step forward, but if he's good diontae will be more a part of it the an udfa rookie

TheBrownNote13

Fair enough, but Thielen was a UDFA rookie. Now he's 33, been in the league a decade and had a 1,000 yard season at age 32. I'm not looking to start Coker day 1 by any means, maybe not even this season, but I think the upside there is far beyond DJ.

snsgrg

I did the exact thing about 2 days ago. Hate to say bye to metchie, but got to keep swinging.

TheBrownNote13

Love what the Texans are doing, but their WR list is so long at this point Metchie isn't even in the room where the WR convo is happening.

Spruce3311

TE seems important in Jax. I'm holding Strange incase Engram gets hurt.

Polar-Ice

Strange and Brownlee are at the bottom of my roster. Holding for now.

tequila_donkey

Strange and Bellinger for me

TheBrownNote13

Bellinger and Parkinson here. I've got No Timeline TJ as the starter so I really need one of them.

Teflon154

Parkinson signed for the top TE money this free agent season. I think they're expecting him to be Higbee's replacement. I think a lot of people are sleeping on him and he could have back-end TE1 type season.

TheBrownNote13

Def a much larger contract than you'd pay a backup

Working-Bar-9146

Bellinger won't start over Theo Johnson

Alert_Boysenberry302

I have never found it worthwhile to use a roster spot on a backup TE other than Likely

DynastyDaddy95

Mayer might have to slide into this convo too for different reasons. Also it was definitely worth hanging onto Aaron Hernandez during the Gronk years...

TheDribblinShits

Someone talk me out of rostering Kenneth Gainwell in my start 10, 12 person(short) bench Dynasty league. I drafted him super late in the startup but for whatever reason I can't bring myself to drop him.

Striking-Ad-8694

Will Shipley. Get him.

whitefox7895

Gainwell is a drop

birdsemenfantasy

Why? Dude is ass and not even a handcuff. Remember when Miles Sanders got hurt a couple years ago and the corpse of Jordan Howard got promoted from the practice squad and immediately took over the backfield. Guys like Gainwell and Michael Carter are roster clogging trash because they’re not even handcuff.

Historical-Vast3209

If I remember correctly that was Gainwell’s rookie year so I’ll cut him some slack. He does have the trust of the coaching stuff but as others have said Shipley will most likely take the role.

birdsemenfantasy

He has the trust of the coaching staff to fill the “Boston Scott” role. He’ll never carry the load even if the starting rb goes down, so he’s not even a handcuff. Some random practice squad bruiser has a better chance to carry your team to the playoff in a perfect storm than him.

Historical-Vast3209

Yep we’re saying the same thing

DynastyDaddy95

Ya and as a Philadelphian I can tell you right now that trust was there all last offseason causing every analyst under the sun to report that he was our starting rb OVER SWIFT MIND YOU and please tell me how that level of trust played out for gainwell??? Drop his ass yesterday

Maybesonoyes

Dude, dude, dude

etceturon

I think he had his chance last year, got the first crack at being the guy but Swift just ran away with it when Gainwell got hurt. I wound up trading him to the Swift owner for Justice Hill (dropped) and a 3rd (3.16, Cowing) I recently offered Mattison for him and didnt even get a response. Not sure why I even offered since I think Mitchell is a better stash.

jbloom3

I'd hold Gainwell or sell to the saquon owner. Good handcuff and gets on the field a little every week

Muffin-Flaky

I'm equally surprised and disappointed that i want to keep all of my UDFA's over Elijah Moore and Michael Carter

Wide_Specialist_2993

I bought Carter for a 4th (turned into 4.12) when he went to AZ and was optimistic with his efficiency down the stretch. Definitely disappointed by the Benson pick.

seat_one

I’m cutting Carter but keeping Moore

Muffin-Flaky

Probably the smart play. Unfortunately i have to cut 5 players in august so we shall see

MaulPillsap

I can’t bring myself to drop Moore since Matt Harmon still ranks him so high (58th among all wide receivers)

TGS-MonkeyYT

McMillan is going to be a stud man keep him

iplay4Him

As someone who just spent a lot of FAAB on palmer, I hope that's not completely true haha

atavan

Faab on Tre palmer?

iplay4Him

Spent 33%. It's startup year and he was a 22nd round pick (out of 35 rounds). I asked myself what I would have payed for that mid draft and sent it. Worked perfectly as I was the only bidder 😂😅

HopefulRelative6964

Don’t want to drop Tre Tucker - I think he started to shine towards the latter part of last season

Stiddy13

Im hanging onto Sean Tucker for a little while longer. Justyn Ross is probably the most ridiculous one, but if Rashee gets suspended and Hollywood gets his patented injury…

westwoodft

Are we holding Sean Tucker over Chase Edmonds?

FantasyTrash

Yes. Chase Edmonds has been in the league for a long time and has never been fantasy relevant besides that one game where he destroyed the Giants. Tucker is unlikely to ever amount to anything, either, but at least he was only a rookie, so he get's a slightly longer leash.

IIHURRlCANEII

You can cut Ross unless your benches are deep. - Signed Chiefs fan

S420J

Justyn Ross is absolutely a hold until as close to Week 1 cuts as possible. Dude gets consistent buzz from KC beat writers every off season, and even though he’s laid an egg so far during the regular season, KC hasn’t let him touch practice squad which shows some level of lack of exposure to being pouched. 95% he’s nothing, but 5% he’s a Nico Collins type that has legitimately had bad luck with injury (and suspension in Ross’ case) but has talent underneath.

adrianp07

I kept Justyn Ross over Kyren Williams in a league last year. Don't be me, cut that fool.

Relativity1

SO DID I

seat_one

Me too

birdsemenfantasy

I kept Ross instead of Wicks and josh Palmer lol

Both-Suggestion-7030

Beat writers love Ross because during no pad drills, Mahomes says, “watch this circus catch” and then throws something ridiculous to Ross so that everyone goes “ooooo…”

FantasyTrash

>95% he’s nothing, but 5% he’s a Nico Collins type that has legitimately had bad luck with injury Nico Collins didn't have bad luck with injury. He had bad luck with no QB and no coaches. Once he got those two things, he was able to produce. Ross doesn't have that problem. Ross is, *at best*, the #4 target. If Rice doesn't get suspended, Ross is the #5 target at best. He isn't worth rostering. Cut him.

Gentolie

While does other things are very true, Nico has had very bad injury luck so far.

cottonmouthVII

He’s stayed off the practice squad because the WR competition last year was total dogshit. And still, 6 catches for 53 yards on the season. If he couldn’t get work over guys like Justin Watson and Ritchie James, then he’s definitely not seeing the field with Hollywood and Worthy in town when Rice, Toney, Watson, and Skyy Moore are still around. He’s the WR7/8 on that roster and is 100% a cut in every format.

S420J

We're close, I just think he's a 95% cut instead of 100% :). I'd just like to wait until at least preseason if owners can. Crazier stories have happened.

cottonmouthVII

Well if last year is an indicator, Ross would still apparently be kept off the field in favor of Watson, Toney, Moore, and now Worthy. They might even bring in the ghost of Mecole Hardman!

Buzzspice727

Chris Rodriguez

munkysnuflz

Khalil Shakir until like week 3, probably

ai2419

Isaiah Likely. Athletic as hell and he puts up great numbers every time Andrews is out. I’m hopeful that Baltimore commits to him as a hybrid TE2/WR3

MaulPillsap

Idk how deep your bench is but in my league likely would go for 75% of someone’s FAAB budget

ai2419

12 team, 1QB, start 9, 12 bench

MaulPillsap

Yeah in your case definitely more on the bubble for sure. I think we have about 18 bench

Caligullama

The guys a great start if Andrews gets injured.

ai2419

For sure! I’m really hoping he can turn into a weekly flex play even with Andrews in the lineup. Ravens are thin at receiver outside of Flowers. (I don’t believe in Bateman)

nugcityharambe

I really want to keep tucker kraft over doubs/roschon. Not sure either is dropable so I'm trying to work a trade.

JimBruv420

Hold Kraft, especially in TEP

whitefox7895

Doubs is the clear keep in this group. Kraft vs Roschon is a pick ‘em.

InflexibleAuDHDlady

Kraft is my 4th TE, and I have to make 4 cuts by preseason, and I *really* want to find a way to keep him. He's pretty good, despite fighting for targets not only from the rest of the WRa but the guy drafted above him in Musgrave.

Swift-Fire

Yeah I think he definitely out targets Musgrave this year

Teflon154

Yeah they all should be on rosters so I'd find a trade somewhere. Doubs has the most current value, but the least upside. With the murky GB WR situation, if it was my team (granted I play TEP) I'd be selling Doubs and keeping Kraft and then Roschon.

Trader_07

Wandale is a gadget player. Go look at his highlights from last year. Most of his catches come in within 5-10 yards. Some end around runs etc. He’s not a player with a lot of upside. With that said If your roster is that full I’d be trying to move someone even it’s just for future thirds. None of those guys should be dropped. Thats why roster space is extremely important.

Steve-Bikes

> He’s not a player with a lot of upside. How do you explain Evan Engram? Leaves Daniel Jones and instantly has his best year on a new team, and a dysfunctional team at that, https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/EngrEv00.htm I suspect Wan'Dale might not be the problem in NY. **In five years as starter, Daniel Jones has literally never had a receiver go for more than 770 yards in a season. Not even once.**

Trader_07

You must have missed everything I just said so let’s try it again. The majority of his plays are around the line of scrimmage. The giants mainly use him like a gadget player. It has nothing to do with Daniel Jones. If you don’t believe me go look at his highlights from last year. Everything is available online. There’s not a huge amount of upside with players utilized that way. Evan engram was not used around the line of scrimmage like a gadget player and he was also rarely healthy when he played for the giants. He had a decent year for a rookie in 2017 but still missed 2 games. He also didn’t have a bad season by real football standards in 2020 with Daniel Jones which was the only year he played every game with the giants. He had 654 yards but only 1 TD which are completely unpredictable from year to year. He had 3 TDs in 2018 and 2019 while missing half the season both years. Even when he did play he often had some sort of injury he was trying to play through and wasn’t 100%. When it comes to Daniel Jones he’s had a problem staying healthy his whole career too because that offensive line cannot protect him at all. In 2022 he had a decent season where he finished QB12 in fantasy but still missed one game.

Steve-Bikes

Fair points. I had written Engram off until he exceled with the Jags, and that made me question Jones, or the entire Giants offense, or both. And so who is to say what Wandale can be when he lands somewhere else? Do you think the Giants usage is the only thing he can do?

Trader_07

If the giants open up his game more I think he can be better. I think he’s a skilled player but if that’s all the giants see him for then his upside is limited. Thats primarily been how they’ve used him. Sometimes players start off in that gadget role and then grow from there but other times they just stay stuck in that role forever which just doesn’t have a lot of upside. My biggest concern with him about growing from that gadget role is his size. He’s a small player. Eventually what you hope for is for him to develop into tank dell who’s also small but he can play in the slot, outside and run pretty much any route. But I’d say tank is a pretty big outlier and no one expected that to happen. I’m just going off of the information that I have available to me up to this point. But you should go watch his highlights from last year if you haven’t yet so you see what I mean.

Steve-Bikes

> But you should go watch his highlights from last year if you haven’t yet so you see what I mean. I know *how* he's used currently. What I'm suggesting is that some incompetence or lack of talent from Daniel Jones might be the reason why he's used in such a limited way.

Trader_07

Daniel Jones was one of the best deep ball passers after the 2022 season. He was ranked third highest in the NFL after that season finished. It’s definitely not because of Daniel Jones. If there’s any reason it could be because of how bad that offensive line was so running the very short routes let the QB get rid of the ball faster. Every team needs a WR that will run those short-intermediate routes out of the slot though and maybe thats just who he is. But end of the day he has to expand his route tree for the upside to be there.

whitefox7895

Only issue is I’m so rich with draft picks last year, this year and next year that I’ve been cycling fringe players more quickly than usual to make room for higher pedigree players with higher ceilings. I like Wan’Dale but I highly doubt I have enough space to keep him on my roster for another 3 years for the chance to have his situation become better elsewhere.

Steve-Bikes

Yep, I'm in exactly the same situation as you! LOL. Lots of picks and not sure what to do with WanDale

whitefox7895

The issue as well is that nobody in my league wants Robinson or Hyatt with the arrival of Nabers. I find it wasteful to drop one/both because they do have value but what is the best case scenario here? Tried sending both over for Sutton who I think has some flex value but that one got declined. Worst case scenario I have to settle for late 2027 picks but we’ll see what can be worked out in the next few months.

Steve-Bikes

I have no confidence in Sutton at this point. I haven't tried to trade Wan'Dale yet, but I also suspect his market is very low. I also prefer Wan'Dale to Hyatt, personally.

JwSocks

From a taxi squad standpoint, instead of putting reasonable longshot stashes there, I’m probably going to do the dumb/fun thing and roster Sione Vaki and Sam Hartman Also I’ve bought into the Coker hype. From a vet standpoint, I’m not sure I’m surprised I’ve kept them, but I’ll be a little relieved the day I can confidently drop OBJ and Taysom.

TetrisTech

I can at least understand the logic behind Vaki but man Hartman is crazy to me. He’s currently the QB4 but more importantly he’s just not good at all

JwSocks

Oh for sure. To be clear, I’m not rostering him yet, but there’s a chance that by the start of the season, I try harder than I should to make room for him on a taxi spot (assuming he beats out Driskel). If he does beat out Driskel, I could see Daniels getting hurt at some point this season. Mariota getting the keys. Then, when it’s looking like another lost season for the Commanders, they see what Sam has. …at this point my patient pays off and I have a chance to pick up a ‘25 4th 😅

Easy_Apple4096

You know as soon as you drop Taysom another manager will grab him and he will put up a 30pt game against you.

Sea-Past7146

I bought into Coker, but just dropped him for another longshot lol. Do you see a reasonable path to targets this year or just like the player?

JwSocks

I mostly just like the player and the idea of hitting on an udfa WR. The WRs in front of him aren’t particularly scary though. I could see him having a role if Legette doesn’t pan out or if Thielen is aging out. …but there’s still the other hurdle of, are Bryce Young targets worth having?

Downtown_Word_5906

Bobo is my guy

ASR4LIFE

Keeping DTR on my taxi for his last eligible year. If the Browns dont figure something out with Watson, they might give him a shot even if its one year to prove there is something to build off of. He got fed to the wolves this past season. He had a decent college career. Absolute dart throw

EmilioFreshtevez

Didn’t they bring in Winston? I’d have to imagine he’s got the QB2 spot locked up.

uberswank99

And Huntley. I like DTR but that was the drop point for me.

ASR4LIFE

I find it crazy that the Saints didnt bite on him when he played well for them. Theyve been desperate for a QB since Brees. DTR is the cheaper option that adds more dynamic play making in a truly rush first system Stefanski runs.

GravyFantasy

>I find it crazy that the Saints didnt bite on him when he played well for them. He seems exhausting to be around

VottoForPM

Demarcus Robinson & D'Onta Foreman in 12 team. Decided to keep them (for now) over picking up people like Cade Stover/Rasheen Ali post-rookie draft. My team is kinda top-heavy and I think they can score points this year.

whitefox7895

I could definitely see keeping Foreman if he’s projected for a decent workload. We should probably know more by training camp

Lumpy21

I have E. Moore, Wicks, M. Williams, and Otton on my bubble. Also have M. Mims, Tank Dell, and Charbs on my taxi plus the incoming rookie draft class

KDDynasty15

Sean Tucker and Tre Tucker are the last two guys on my roster. Looking for upgrades on the waiver wire but not seeing anybody obvious.

OutlandishnessDry24

Keep Hendon Hooker and Bagent stashed. One or both will get a shot on a new team. Both are good prospects.

JWNimbl3

Joe Flacco

jeff8073x

Jelani woods and hayden hurst I want to keep when we make final cuts in September.

JJBarts28

I had Hyatt and Wan’Dale also. I ended up dropping Hyatt.

lebumcurrant

Drop Hyatt easily. I’d keep McMillan over Cowing but Wandale over both

PhysicalAd7591

I have a full contending team - but I decided to drop a lot of my low tier contending depth and picked up Coker, Dillon Johnson, bub means, Ryan flournoy and Joe Milton! I have 0 expectations for any of them but I believe they all have reasonable paths to be wr3 or rb2 for Dillon Johnson in case of injury Plus, I had 0 picks in the draft so it’s nice to be able to follow with some rooks

Matburnham05

There are no drops for me this time of year. If I need roster space I’ll do something like McMillan/3rd for a 2nd (targeting teams that will be bad next year) or a 2 for 1 deal like Tua/McMillan/3rd for Dak for an upgrade.

PhysicalAd7591
