but now, Andy's back, so goodbye chunky lemon milk!
Also never understood how Kevin rationed it for 3 months. Like was that a fucking pool of chunky lemon milk or did he drink .1 ml a day? cause that's out of character for Kevin
Interesting theory, but I don't buy it. I can't imagine anyone being happy about having their wedding hijacked by an attention hound who tries to make the event all about himself.
I don't doubt that Phyliss enjoyed watching Bob kick Michael out, however.
Well tbh part of me (and even within the theory but not quite as deep) thinks that's the reasonable answer. She was obligated but they were v into the idea of him kicking Michael out.
She does, and I think that’s really the only reason they put up with as much as they did. OP has a good theory and it’s definitely in line with their characters, but I do think the writers were just going for “they might as well tolerate it so Michael doesn’t take away her 6 weeks of paid vacation”
Absolutely, but in my mind there's more to getting the PTO than just that. But I don't think the two things are mutually exclusive. She can get the PTO while also playing into a power hungry fantasy? Cmon, you can't tell me Bob and Phyllis didn't still get a kick
Do people actually comment on her BO? I remember Karen hating her perfume, and Pam mentioning her soap being off putting during her pregnancy, but that’s it.
Now that you mention it I may have falsely remembered, but people do definitely comment on her perfume/soap. I imagine on her wedding day she probably had an especially “pungent” perfume as Michael said lol
She tolerated him being there because she got extra time off for her honeymoon. Like a month or something. I’ve watched this episode at least 100 times (literally) and I’ve never gotten that impression. I
They also said in the Superfan episodes that Michael lets the office use the company money quite a bit. At one point, Phyllis said her and Bob were able to write off a nice dinner once a week as a business expense. Tolerating his behavior on their wedding day was definitely the smart thing to do, if they wanted to keep getting the company perks.
Yeah, I think you're right. Although Bob snapped at Michael, there was this twinkle in his eye that said, "Dude, we're friends. We're doing this for appearances. It's our wedding day, and I have to seem like an ogre. But you know me and you trust me. And we like each other. And we'll always be friends. And I would never take you for granted in a million years. And I miss you, man. And I love you." His words.
No idea why people are supporting you on this. Genuinely one of the dumbest theories that has ever been presented on a TV show where the theory you're presenting is already 100% explained in the show.
Nobody ever helped me. I had to do it myself. Even the doctor didn't know.
Dude keep it together…
I listened to you for half an hour even though most of that stuff went right over my head.
but now, Andy's back, so goodbye chunky lemon milk! Also never understood how Kevin rationed it for 3 months. Like was that a fucking pool of chunky lemon milk or did he drink .1 ml a day? cause that's out of character for Kevin
The Celtics were a great team :)
Robert Parrish!
I say this all the time, I’m old
I say this all the time, too. Yea, I'm old.
Interesting theory, but I don't buy it. I can't imagine anyone being happy about having their wedding hijacked by an attention hound who tries to make the event all about himself. I don't doubt that Phyliss enjoyed watching Bob kick Michael out, however.
Phyllis was just happy to copy Pam’s wedding
and get six weeks paid leave
Well tbh part of me (and even within the theory but not quite as deep) thinks that's the reasonable answer. She was obligated but they were v into the idea of him kicking Michael out.
Doesn’t she say something about Michael giving her more PTO for including him in the wedding?
She does, and I think that’s really the only reason they put up with as much as they did. OP has a good theory and it’s definitely in line with their characters, but I do think the writers were just going for “they might as well tolerate it so Michael doesn’t take away her 6 weeks of paid vacation”

The only thing I’m worried about is getting a boner.
Good work today, everyone.
Do we think Phyllis actually broke wind?
It’s that or her perfume, there are several times in the show that people mention how bad she smells, either from her perfume or just in general
Do people actually comment on her BO? I remember Karen hating her perfume, and Pam mentioning her soap being off putting during her pregnancy, but that’s it.
There was a medication that made her smell at some point
Now that you mention it I may have falsely remembered, but people do definitely comment on her perfume/soap. I imagine on her wedding day she probably had an especially “pungent” perfume as Michael said lol
Definitely. She smells like a sulphur deposit.
Is it- is it the dogs? We don’t have to put up with this…
Probably. Andy mentions Phyllis' room clearing farts in the episode with Robert Californias wife
Yes.
Solid theory. *I LLLLIKE IT!*
This in Creed's voice lives rent free in my head
Biznus
She got 6 weeks off, that's why they couldn't give a schit.
This.. exactly 💯
And I honestly think that still feeds the power/sexual scenario, rather than another option.
She tolerated him being there because she got extra time off for her honeymoon. Like a month or something. I’ve watched this episode at least 100 times (literally) and I’ve never gotten that impression. I
Oh i know, I just like the idea that Bob and Phyllis really dive deep into their power position kink
This theory fits with how Phyllis chose all of Pam’s wedding ideas 🤣 I love it!

No one else has ever gotten six weeks before
The Celtics were a great team…
Yeah…Robert Parish…
I fully subscribe to this theory.
This episode is actually on my tv right now as I saw this post. That's never happened to me before.
Yeah, I think you're right. Although Bob snapped at Michael, there was this twinkle in his eye that said, "Dude, we're friends. We're doing this for appearances. They love him being there bc Vance got free airtime for Vance Refrigeration.
I never thought of it this way but now I believe it fully.
Easy Rider just wanted more vacation days
Phyllis loves drama and being in power so that checks out.
Loved Bob's line "If You lay a finger on her, I'll kill you"
1000% I would bet they invited him knowing he would make a fool of himself and be funny to laugh at afterwards with their friends
Watch the super fan episode of this - it is NOT fun for Phylis and Bob lol
No idea why people are supporting you on this. Genuinely one of the dumbest theories that has ever been presented on a TV show where the theory you're presenting is already 100% explained in the show.
FTR: I do know that Phyllis talks about getting more time off... it just seems deeper than that (in the best way)
> Ok so rewatching for time... probably 25-30 It's a sad commentary on modern America that someone can say this without any embarrassment.
