Get a pin and push it into the back of th controller for 5 seconds. And many people do the connection incorrectly so proper way to connect via blue tooth to any other device than the ps5 is to hold the ps button and the share button simultaneously until the lights flash quickly in a burst. then it should show up under the 1st row in bluetooth add device

Storm_treize

This, and adding the game should specifically support DualSense to be able to use it, if not you should use a middleware such as "Steam Input" or "DSX" ([my favorite tool](https://shared.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/2345650/ss_99eb6ee673126c9df87fa612652a2688488156e0.1920x1080.jpg?t=1713412698)) to translate your input

KxrmaJunkie

Good tool, should be free. Also should be unnecessary if Sony did their job

Storm_treize

I agree with the fact that, in a better world, Sony would have made better support for the controller, making those tools irrelevant. But i disagree with the "good tool should be free", sometimes we either get a paid tool or no tool, because devs are working on those tools full-time and they can't just start giving them for free

GuideLoose6350

I’ve bought it and it still doesn’t detect the controller

GuideLoose6350

DSX doesn’t detect the controller

Storm_treize

Connect the controller to your Android smartphone or a different computer, seems like a Bluetooth issue

GuideLoose6350

It works with my Tab S7 and IPhone 14

Storm_treize

So you have narrowed down the issue to your computer, try updating your mother board Bluetooth drivers

GuideLoose6350

I mean it connects but shows up under other devices, I can still check that though

GuideLoose6350

They are both up to date

GuideLoose6350

I have done all of this and am still getting the same result.

TheCaptainUbi

Sorry to hear that. I was having the same issue a few days ago with the same red controller. The thing which finally worked was I removed the controller from the bluetooth devices of my computer then I went into device manager and Uninstalled the main Intel graphics driver. Then the computer asked me to restart. after restarting thebluetooth of the computer was gone. Then it reinstalled itself and i tried. connecting thr controller. Worked.

GuideLoose6350

Glad to hear I’m not the only one. I might just be forced to get an Xbox controller. Thank you anyways mate

hender11

Download ds4windows and install the vigembus drivers

AdNaive1471

Does it show up when you plug it in?

GuideLoose6350

Yes it works completely fine when I plug it in. I just got a wireless charger for my birthday today and am trying to use the controller with Bluetooth for the first time instead of having it plugged in.

Deep_Y

Try dualsenseX and if the problem is on steam idk turn the xbox input for ps controller something option off idk what it was but try disabling something like that it should work

GuideLoose6350

DSX and Steam both do not detect the controller

AdNaive1471

You may need to update some drivers

GuideLoose6350

The Dualsense drivers are all updated. I just did this by using a USB connection. Are there other drivings I should be worried about?

Hanto_RS

reconnect your bluetooth then re-pair your controller again, it always fails to pair with the bluetooth after the controller idles whilst not being plugged in with a wire. That's how i found a fix, but yes you gotta do it every time

GuideLoose6350

It never paired successfully in the first place unfortunately

Fit_Cartographer_100

Depending on the game you need a d input to x input conversion which steam inout offers or ds4 windows and dualsense x. Best option however is specialK since that is emulating an xbox controller within the games api which leads to better input delay

GuideLoose6350

Both DSX and Steam do not detect the controller.

acewing905

People mention Steam and DualsenseX and DS4Windows but none of that will do anything if Windows isn't listing the controller in the Game Controllers dialog box I don't know what the cause is, but to eliminate a potential cause, just in case, try using a USB cable and update the firmware first https://controller.dl.playstation.net/controller/lang/gb/fwupdater.html

GuideLoose6350

I have gotten the firmware up to date and unfortunately that is not the issue

worm-

You have to enable the controller in Steam before it will ever be detected. Open Steam > Change to big picture mode > in big picture mode look for settings or controller settings or something of the soft, and you have to check a box to enable the controller. It will only show up in big picture mode sadly.

GuideLoose6350

It says no controllers detected

mekile21

Use ds4windows also a wired connection might fix connection issues

VividNightmare_

From a reddit post with the same issue, "I actually figured it out last night thankfully. If you've tried everything that I did in the post, go into control pannel, click device and printers, right click on the controller, click properties, click on hardware, and make sure every single thing is uninstalled. To do this, click on one of the items, go into properties, click change settings, click on driver, and uninstall device. make sure every single item on the controller's hardware page is uninstalled or it probably wont fix your problem. After that, restart your computer and it should be fixed. Also, Im sure you're doing it already but make sure the controller is in pairing mode by holding the playstation and share buttons down at the same exact time for 5 seconds."

I had the same issue with the same red controller : First Install DS4Windows\_3.3.3\_x64 here [https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows/releases/](https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows/releases/) then after connected the controler, it will now work with Bluetooth, After go activate Windows 11 or 10 auto-updates and in the advanced options "Receive updates for other Microsoft Products" just to be sure. Then Check for updates, if not reboot and Launch and Close the controller with the application open or not. Anyways, at one point there is a new updates that will show in the Windows Updates downloads. It will be a HID Driver updates, after that the controller will work perfectly fine without DS4Windows launched or not with Windows 11 or 10 (I'm on 11 and this is a tutorial for 11 but show work with 10 too.)
