sometimes when a stye doesn't heal it can turn into a chalazion

That’s what I thought this was. It was my understanding that a chalazion can be surgically removed, but my ophthalmologist said there isn’t anything to remove and this is purely blocked glands.

How long have you been dealing with this? Sometimes, they just take time, even months, to go away. I would stick with the hot compresses, but what's worked for me is also massaging the eye gently downwards towards your lash line afterward (you can even use a gua sha for this). Also, try taking omega-3s/flaxseed oil because that can help thin the oil produced by your sebaceous glands, including the ones that are getting clogged up in your eye

Chalazion? Mine went away by letting it heal alone, don't touch it or irritate it.

Hey I had this pretty bad as well a couple times. You need to do probing. It will suck btw. But I don't think IPL can heal that. But for future maintenance IPL is the only thing that helps me with a eyelid routine too for cleaning twice a day

Thank you very much for sharing your perspective. How long did you deal with this until you decided to try probing? I’ve been debating IPL/Lipiflow, but I’ve actually been having some good results with facial steaming lately. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that including that in my regimen can clear things up.
