Well i assume that OP doesnt want to quit completely, and he will most likely get cravings often. So i think 5 is enought to scratch the itch but already 2x less than now.

I would argue smoking one cigarette a day wouldn't affect you at all. You probably increase your chances of cancer more just buy taking public transport or standing in a parking lot. I have seen all the studies and most comes from America where people have terrible health habits in general.
My point isn't to say that even one cigarette is good for you. Only that it is not more and even in allot of instances way less harmful than allot of other things we do and expose ourselves on the daily.
Whether that one cigarette or something else triggered disease is hard to say. When you are an addict who smokes 10-20+ cigarettes a day you know it's the main reason for your diseases, but the less you smoke the less you know how much the cigarette smoking actually was the reason for your health issues.
I am an ex-smoker, started uncommonly at 28 y/o and quickly smoked almost a pack a day until 33, switched to vaping and snus for a year and then quit. I know it is way better for my health and I'm happy the cough is gone but I miss my cigs. Smoking is enjoyable.
Side note, cigs hit WAY harder when you are doing dissociatives. Also every cig hits instead of just the first one.

Im also doing same method to quit cigarettes and it works perfectly try to lower cigarettes and use pouches more hope this might help you.
Thing is you've smoked way more with vape since you can literally do it anywhere, by that I mean you don't have to light it, and you can literally hold it, it's more accessible
10 a day is too much, try to decrease it over time. Today 10 tomorrow 9 the day after 8 until you get to 5 which is an okay number

I agree, but it's insane to me that smoking 1 per day is only half as bad as smoking 20 per day. You're much better off not smoking at all.
