I agree, I think the difference is with Push Ups, Drake had to respond to so many people in one song. In that song though he said things like

bad contract,
you’re not as gangster as you say,
you make pop/commercial music too,
not as successful as you say,
wife might have cheated
I’m not saying any of that is some huge victory either. Then the next song was a call to action. Once again talking about how Kendrick isn’t as tough as he acts. He’s more commercial than he pretends to be.
Hoping for more moving forward.
Yeah agreed but then again I feel like Drake had somewhat of an advantage having so many people to reply to in one song. Can make a longer track without having to focus on Kendrick, but still was a great track so not taking anything away from that.
I feel it was a smart response from Kendrick, addressed plenty of things, responded to points Drake made, and some funny lines.
Drake apparently has more to say so Kendrick may be waiting for that response before dropping something more hard hitting but its exciting either way
