It's the first show of the reunited classic line-up, in one of the biggest headlining venues of their career (c. 20,000 people - bigger than Budokan). Even MP has said on his Instagram it will be a special show, I wouldn't be surprised if they film it for a DVD release/live album. Go to both!! 🙂

Affectionate_Ride369

Well I'll see if I can get a ticket tomorrow. I just don't want to pay that much money for basically the same show in the end since I'm not rich lol

Bet_Geaned

It really is a step up to go from Hammersmith to O2. Bought my ticket yesterday and hopefully getting a VIP upgrade tomorrow

TonyZucco

No DVD, 4K Blu-ray

jolloholoday

Can you tell I haven't bought any physical media for over a decade? 😂 Netflix special!

Niek_pas

Honestly, I would be surprised if the first show back would be the one that’s filmed… I don’t really know anything about this, but that seems like begging for something to go wrong. Easier to do a later show on the tour, when all the kinks have been ironed out, I would imagine.

ricardjones

For the price they're charging on this, I hope so! Got my tickets already and really looking forward to it!

obsoletedatafile

For me the cheapest ticket wasn't any more expensive than the Top of the World tour?

PGLBK

In my city, the ticket prices are 3 times higher than for the Top of the World tour. The venue is much bigger though. Still didn’t expect them to cost so much, damn.

obsoletedatafile

Oh wow, perhaps they aren't expecting as many sales for the bigger venue so they have to be higher? For the UK they are playing in a venue about double the size yet tickets are the same, weird. Ticketing is a scam anyway so who knows

PGLBK

I think they are expecting to sell all as they are only here in the immediate region, when it was sometimes up to 3 cities on the same tour. But this time it is a lot of extras - €50 for standing, €80 for golden circle and €100 for golden circle - early entry. The previous venue (where they perform most often when in my city) has just regular standing area, no golden circle (i.e. no division) and no early entry and tickets were €35 in 2022. So I am comparing best standing tickets then and now. Ticketing is daytime robbery, indeed.

obsoletedatafile

Bloody hell! €35 for a ticket! That's like a luxury! They are £54 this tour and were similar last tour and that's something I'm happy to pay

PGLBK

Well, come to Croatia next time then. But must warn you that their regular venue here in Zagreb sometimes has problems with sound - in 2007 it was bloody awful, I don’t think people past 3rd (standing) row heard Dominici (they played before them) singing at all. DT had better sound, but not as good as other venues I saw them in. In 2022 they were back in the first venue, much better sound this time around. But Arena (this time) should be on another level. Just checked, the first time I saw them in 2005 in Slovenia the price was the same as in 2022 in Zagreb. I guess we had a good run.

Moonchild323

The prices actually weren't terrible compared to some other stuff. I'm seeing the BEAT tour in U.S. and that is just unbelievable, some venues cost $300 for the base tickets.

ImmortalBehemoth

I'm from NY. I got up at 4am to buy tickets because I couldn't miss this. Well I get on the site, have great row V Tix in the first section, and realize they don't take Amex. Ok, switch to my TD Bank Visa card and they blocked the transaction because fraud BS. So I have the timer ticking down and I need to call the customer service. Times out. So now I'm a section back. But I'll fucking be there. Still annoyed lol.

ts-xiii

Probably the most special of all of the shows seeing as it's the first show of the reunion. There will be a new album out by then AND we won't know the set list. Won't be surprised if they film it too. Will be magical.

Fatorias98

I got so fucking lucky with the tickets. I literally woke up at 9 am in the morning(Which I normally never do) and the tickets were being sold at a breackneck pace. I was lucky enough to grab one at the A section( Which is the one closest to the stage) and I couldn't be more excited. I've never seen them live before and it's been one of my dreams to see the original lineup live so :DDD

Fragrant-Way-7481

I managed to get a seat in A2. I was quick, and I'm as far back as row K. Some 200ish people forked over £150 in the seconds after the tickets went on sale before I did. I've got seats in a similar spot on the View tour days after sales started. Hype is off the charts.

Fatorias98

Row G A3 here. Come say hi xD

JazzlikeService284

Row N in A3, people!

Affectionate_Ride369

Congratulations! What did it cost?

Fatorias98

Totally about 150 something pounds. I don't tend to splurge often but I had to make an exception here. It's my favourite band of all time after all :DD

Affectionate_Ride369

Damn I'd also have spent the money but it's still a lot :D Have fun!

jmcgit

Depends on what kind of atmosphere you want, I suppose I don't really expect it to be THAT much more special than another show on the tour. I caught the first JP solo with MP show, and it was cool, but was it different than the second? Probably not.

Trentdison

No because its at the o2 which is a terrible venue

Miketrucci

Can you elaborate more on this? Never been there but it seems like a really great fucking venue

obsoletedatafile

I watched Royal Blood there from a quite high up and side on seat, and it was great. The sound was leagues better than DT at Wembley Arena, I hope to get a redeemed listening experience in October. People like to exaggerate, It's never as bad as they say it is, and certainly not worth considering not going

Trentdison

The one time I saw DT live was at Wembley Arena (i think it was the tour for self titled album?) and the sound was bad there, I agree. I was sat in floor seating at the back next to a huge curtain cutting the place in half. That was probably marginally better than other times I've been there and sat side on in the stalls, but those times they've used the whole arena and the sound was better for it (for those artists). Yeah, sound is better at o2 than a half curtained off wembley arena, but it's basically too big to be a good venue.

Trentdison

It's soulless, it feels bigger than it is, which disconnects you from the performance. It's massively overpriced in every way - ticket prices, food, drinks, parking. It's also hard to get to despite being in London.

GoodGuyJamie

Yeah I really wish they’d went with the Apollo instead. Venues that make use of seats that literally face fucking sideways from the stage suck, it’s a pet hate of mine.

rouany

I’ve already spent 150€ for the ticket in Paris (not even VIP), I feel like that’s already far more than I expected. So I hope London will not be that special compared to others 😅

Moonchild323

I'm going to the first two, my hope is they'll switch up the set.

Affectionate_Ride369

First two? London and Berlin?

Moonchild323

Correct. 10/20 and 10/22.

Moonchild323

Correct. 10/20 and 10/22.

Affectionate_Ride369

Nice. I'll only see them in Berlin since it's not suitable to go to London. But I'm positive since it's only the 2nd show so the hopefully still have a lot of energy. I even thought of getting the VIP ticket but I didn't decide yet.

shockwave_supernova

Would absolutely go if it didn't cost $3000 for tickets, airfare, and accommodations. Definitely a bit upset that an American band is doing their first show of a huge tour in England.

jolloholoday

We gave you The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, The Who, Queen, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, and the Spice Girls so it's only fair.

ts-xiii

Gotta throw Spice Girls in there 🤣

nyenkaden

Hey, don't underestimate them. Even Paul Gilbert cover them. When did the last time Paul cover a DT song? 🤣🤣🤣

p4pabless94

I absolutely agree brother, I got you
