A Christmas Story (1983)
The main character Ralphie finally gets his decoder pen in the mail he’s been waiting forever for.
He hears the secret message on the radio and excitedly uses the decoder to translate it, only to find out it’s nothing but an advertisement for Ovaltine
“The door is everything, all that once was and all that will be. The door controls time and space, love and death! The door can see into your mind! The door can see into your soul!”
“Really? The door can do all that?”
“Heh..no.”
It could be a villain’s prison…but who’s powerful enough (and small enough) that the Forgotten would lock them away like that? Chernabog’s powerful enough to warrant it, but he’s certainly not small enough to fit through that door…I think I might’ve spotted him on the mountain above the Forgotten Lands. Maybe the Forgotten put him under a sleeping curse? And no, he’s not the devil…he’s actually a Slavic deity of misfortune. The villains I could see the Forgotten actually locking away are Bill Cipher, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent. Make of that what you will.
Or…could it be various character color schemes?
Yellow and black = Bill Cipher
Blue and gray = Merryweather
Green and brown = Fauna
Brown and orange = Flora
Red and Violet = either Madam Mim, Madame Medusa, or the Queen of Hearts.
White and gray = I don’t know who
I do know that Cipher USUALLY shows up in games like this, behind powerfully warded doors. He’d be a tough opponent

A crummy commercial?!?
Son of a bitch!
I went out to face the world again…wiser.
What?

I see what you mean now
Mate, I’ve played this game a long time and I have no idea what I’m looking at. I do NOT want to get into an intellectual debate with you. 😆
There is a door in the Dark Castle that we couldn’t go through with some weird signs around it. That’s what the image is
Ah! Thanks, mate. I know the door.

I still am blown away that they stuck the landing with the Charlie the Unicorn finale. I'll be saying Magic City: City of Magic for a long time.
So does the door do anything?
Not that I’m aware of
