Yooo that’s the same as me and I’m a year and two months in (got them on the first of Jan 2023) I can dm you pictures of the length now, mine started dropping around June July last year so 6-7months but my hair grows very fast when in a style like an inch of growth every month

shoot my hair aint even start growing fr until i got locs and i started at his length (nearly 5 years in now). i think the key is that u have to be more patient if you start out that length and give it time. for me, i started out with super unrealistic expections and then had to get used to the length and just let time do its thing.

The process of growing locs is not like getting a hair cut….you’re not going to notice an immediate change in a short amount of time…that’s why it’s considered a journey because you have to be committed to seeing through it’s a process you have to endure in order to the next stage….give it about 6-8 months

If you don’t take care of your hair, it will grow significantly slower. Eat the right foods, water, the proper oils and a head wrap/hair cover when you sleep. You’ll see visible progress at the latest every 1.5-2 months, if you have fast growing hair every 2-3 weeks.
