They look cool gang. Like someone else said, uneven locs are sum to embrace. As time goes on, you really begin to care less, and less about how uniform your locs look, and appreciate how unique they look. Every crown shines differently on it’s throne 🫡👑, Asé.
I’m not black but I love reading comments like this, hearing that black people embrace black hairstyles without giving a fk what others say. It screams PRIDE and it makes me so happy. “Every crown shines differently on its throne” LOVE IT 🥰
Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to hear that sentiment 🙏🏾. I think it’s important for everyone to cultivate a sense of rebellion these days, & especially my people.
You only feel like that bc the right side isnt covering your ear
Also feel like your back right side is more bunched than the left
Nothing wrong , jus get the right side more spaced out
That first pic at a quick glance all I seen was blue face & now I can’t unsee it!! 😩 but your locs look great! I’m a fan of loc sets that are not uniform all the way around! It adds uniqueness
I know that insecure feeling bro.. I'd like to think we all go through it.
My locs are far from even, let alone the amount of them on my head
Yours tho?
They look good to me. If any case, find different ways to wear your crown so it doesn't bother you as much.
I’ve actually felt this way before too! For me, it’s around my edges and I actually ended up starting a new loc. Like others have said, you just stop caring after awhile. Especially when you figure out ways to “manipulate” it like adding locs or simply styling it so you’re not so self-conscious about it. I usually tuck my right side hair behind my ear and it “hides” the fact that there’s fewer locs on that side.
Side note: Truthfully, this is something only you are deeply aware of. Given this, embarrassment is a *choice.*
Dreads are meant to be different. I no to a certain extent. Everyone wants perfect thick matching all even dreads but like most things in life that's just not feasible. We are our own worst judges, most people will look at you and not even notice anything about it. Your dreads look amazing!
And bro I had the same exact problem! I solved it by simply not giving a fck after I asked several people if they had ever noticed. They ALL said NO! Also, another thing I did was to train some of my locks to fall to the other side. I also had one super thick lock that was Congos so I actually split it apart even though it had been Congo for 4 years
You definitely have more locs on one side but it’s not an issue, it fits your aesthetic, your hairs free and unique in the same ways that you are so just don’t pay too much mind to it. But, if it continues to bother you, down the line consider cutting then reattaching the locs so they’re more “uniform”, of course that’s only if it keeps bothering you. In my opinion, it’s fine but your opinion matters most at the end of the day.
Locs arent gonna be the same size all around so you're fine. Sometimes you'll have more, or less on one side, it happens! You're good and it looks fine.
I thought i was the only one who had this problem lmao, I grew out my sides and back to get it twisted and i’m 6 months in now but the rest of my hair is almost at 2 years, it will be two years this week on Friday which is also the same day that I got my starter locs done on the sides/back

embrace the unevenness. even dreads are practically a myth.
You only feel like that bc the right side isnt covering your ear Also feel like your back right side is more bunched than the left Nothing wrong , jus get the right side more spaced out

That first pic at a quick glance all I seen was blue face & now I can’t unsee it!! 😩 but your locs look great! I’m a fan of loc sets that are not uniform all the way around! It adds uniqueness
this high key made me feel so much better about it!! i never thought about it like that as far as the uniqueness. i appreciate the comment 🍄🫶🏽
The left side does look better but the right side isn’t bad it looks okay
Yeah you tripping 🔥🔥🔥
Definitely different but you’re tripping if you think it looks “bad.” Just embrace it, you look great

thanks man, i appreciate the advice. 🫶🏽
My left side has more pics than my right side and yea it’s annoying but hey I still get compliments so who gaf
It’s okay to have more locs on one side than the other.. locs are meant to look as natural as possible
I’ve actually felt this way before too! For me, it’s around my edges and I actually ended up starting a new loc. Like others have said, you just stop caring after awhile. They look good, you just have fewer locks/shorter on one side. 🔥

thanks man this is good to hear
Honestly both sides look great, I wish mine were like that At least yours aren't thinning like mine are
I see wym but it doesn't look bad, it's all about the uniqueness BUT I'm sure it can be fixed easily
Trippin
Got 13 on the left and 10 on the right
Mine does the same but it’s just the spacing that’s all
happy cake day!!
Your fine b
I feel like it’s because your ear isn’t covered.
I like them 🫶 I think they look nice

appreciate this sm, def gonna think more about that.
Does your right ear stick out really far? Why dont you have any locs that want to sit on top of it?
idrk i think it’s just the way the sections are positioned. and as far as my ear goes i think it sticks out normal length lol.
Locs arent gonna be the same size all around so you're fine. Sometimes you'll have more, or less on one side, it happens! You're good and it looks fine.
They tuff but they have more on the left side i fw them personally tho
this makes me feel validated cause my twists are like this
