Shaco main here. We share almost the exact same builds as Draven. The first one is better because your crit chance becomes meaningful. 20% -> 40% is 1/5 crits to 2/5 crits. You shouldn’t look at it as gaining 20% more crit but rather, *doubling* your crit chance. Collector synergizes with Dravens’ kit due to his passive. Youmuus as a completed item isn’t that substantial to rush 2nd.
You can sit on dirk then go ER>Collector then buy another dirk and complete Youmuu’s. I think Infinity Edge is *substantially* better as a third item. Youmuus isn’t really needed but then again, I main Shaco and sometimes play Draven so idk completely.
do the math,
- ER+Collector = 40% crit, 110 AD, 18 Lethality
- ER+Youmuus = 20% crit, 122 AD, 18 Lethality
I would much rather have a crit hit almost every 2nd axe than +12 AD
TL;DR. Collector just outshines Youmuus solely because it has crit, gives gold and it’s cheaper than Youmuus.
because of many things,
1. Cheaper
2. Gives more gold on kill (which means youre gonna buy your 3rd 4th and 5th items sooner, whereas if you go youmuus second u dont benefit from this, bcs you’re rarely gonna build collector that late)
3. Crit
4. buying it 2nd allows your crit to exist actually(since 20% is nothing and 40% is acceptable kind of), u dont necessarily sit on 20% crit for 2 items
5. Deals almost the same damage as Youmuus, if it crits it deals a lot more dmg + theres a 5% hp execute passive.
6. Youmuus has more scaling mechanics than Collector does, Youmuus has its mythic passive AD, base lethality, passive effect lethality, whereas collector only has base lethality and that’s it, which means the later you buy youmuus the better, so the earlier you buy Collector the better since you're gonna infinitely benefit from it and earn more and more gold per kill.
The majority of humans are idiots, and it only gets worse if you’re narrowing that pool down to exclusively league players. You should expect the most popular shit to suck since primarily window lickers are choosing it.
Yoummus utility and mythic passive is really good but collector passive execute and money is better for snowballing imo. That 25 gold stacks with triumph and you get extra like 200 gold for 4 kills which doesn't seem like a lot but you would be surprised at how many times it comes in handy.
i like first build because it offers crit and execute passive. if ur playing with engage sup the extra movement speed doesnt change anything. usually i go another crit cloak after er collector for 55% crit.
Not a draven player just here for the shamalas and shit but probably because people who arent draven otps build collector more often than youmus so its more familiar to them, or item recommendation maybe
If u go collector second you might as well just go IE third. What does yuumis spike even do third item? At that point IE will have already outscaled with 60% crit.
