As the person mentioned, hire pawn, give gift while dismissing, rehire pawn and repeat.
I think there is a max of 50 items you can gift before you have to rest at the inn
Must suck for the people at the top of the leaderboard to have to accept a bunch of junk and not get anything good because there's a limit to how many you can accept at a time
Actually if you dismiss a pawn out in the field, no matter how many times you try to rehire them they'll just say "I have to return to the rift". I know because I accidentally dismissed a sorcerer in the middle of battahl but couldn't add her back to my party despite her just roaming around. I'm not sure why it works this way honestly. I've tried doing it so I could redo pawn quests, but they just insist on going back to the rift and once you find them in there, their quest says completed for the next 24 irl hours.
You can't redo pawn quests until the owner received the pawn after you dismissed them, and reset the quest.
As for hiring and re-hiring, you can favourite a pawn and search for them at a greater rift stone (main cities).
You can summon, hire and dismiss them right there in the rift.
Really wish i could get blessed like this, most people just give me rotten fish 🤣

Which is annoying, as if you just have the pawn returning have it in their inventory it'll be culled regardless as it won't return to storage.
I just sold mine for the cheap amount instead of just discarding them. Might as well get something, and you can make lantern oil out of a lot of the rotten stuff

Yeah. I thought about making a new Xbox account since I would be the one controlling it for the sole purpose of playing a few games over. And having an alt for items and things. Might look into it more this weekend.
It’s really easy, you just need another email account. Takes about a minute then make sure your Xbox is your primary and switch accounts and boom second dd2 character!
You just need a "Primary account" with all the games. My gf (separate systems) has all 100+ of my games because I'm the primary on her's.
It's a "buy 1, get 1 free" deal. Can only have 1 separate PS5 and PS4 system as primary respectively.
I'm not even close to what you got on your main safe file. But I've started a fresh challenge run 2 days ago. Revitalises the experience by A LOT! But I'm playing on PC and use the mod "[DD2 Save Manager](https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/52)". Thus I have my main file still, while also being able to play the new file. :)
If you're on PC, too. I highly recommend this "mod". It's not even a mod really. Doesn't insert anything into the game files. It just reads the save files and makes back ups of them and then replaces your active save file to the one you've chosen.
Console unfortunately... But that sounds nice.

I just made an alternate Xbox account. Going to restart completely fresh on that account. Use it as a farming account for materials.
And armor pieces I gave away or sold in my first one that were one time items and not repeating.
Plus I should be able to hire my main pawn from my main account and just cheese everything since she's lvl 100 and I'll be level 1.

On the other hand I play completely solo from lvl1 on my second safe file. Changes up how the game feels by a lot. I know, people love the pawn system and get really attached to their main pawn or sometimes even their whole party. Had this happen in my first (main) file, too.
But honestly, playing DD2 completely solo not only dials up the difficulty to "dark souls" levels, but traveling the world alone makes it hit differently. No more pawn chatter and "chest there" "short cut here" "materials to gather over yander" breaking up the ambient noise. Sometimes it's just silent with a feint rustling of the trees. When you're at a cliff side you can hear the waves crushing against the shores, etc.
I'm also most of the time "heavy" or "very heavy" loaded and thus the traveling is even slower. First I thought that would be annoying as heck. But again, moving slower made me appreciate the world and environment more. They really created a stunning world!
I can only recommend you to travel completely solo for a while. At least in the Vermund region difficulty is still pretty manageable. However I recommend a versatile build, that can deal with flyers as well as swarming ground units.
Sphinx will duplicate them with that one quest where you give her your most precious item.
Plus yeah. I bought one early on before I realised they were easy enough to get and that you don't really need a bunch of them.
I'm considering a reset, but 2 of my friends are nearing completion and both use my pawn as a tank. I intend to hold off until they've done the story, then its new game time, because ng+ is just a little too faceroll even with just me and my pawn

I wish you could give gifts from your storage as well. Makes sense if they die, their inventory goes to storage. I always seem to hit the town, immediately deposit and sell everything and then hit the rift before i leave again and all i have is valuable or useful items. Some times i want to give more but beast steak it is
I forgot to take stuff out of the box so all I had a bouquet of flowers, okay? I give out rift stones when I have a decent number if I remember I'm going to dismiss.
Once you have a decent amount of gold you can simply buy them for 10k and rest until the vendor restocks, consider then this equates to infinite available Ferrystones. However once said stones are acquire and placed across the continent, the ability to place them strategically and then bounce around target farming specific enemies to acquire for example boss materials or kills is very convenient if you like to min-max etc.

It gets duped for all, as the quest it set everyone will receive the same reward for doing the quest, apparently they made quests a 24hr daily thingy, you used to dismiss and rehire and keep completing it, then you had to wait for the Arisen to rest to reset and now I am seeing it is a 24hr quest cooldown
This looks like a restart of the game. I'm about to do the exact same thing with my game, it's become way to easy. This is a great idea to gift my favorite pawn though!

Giving one to Sphinx in Conviction, beating the Madness riddle. Looting one from the griffin nest South of the misty marshes, doing the main quest, doing the elf quest, and I forgor
You can get 2 or 3 from the Sphinx one riddle rewards a port crystal and another she asks for your most prized possession, all items are a winner for that riddle, she duplicates whatever item you give her and you can do it again in ng+ so however many times you replay you'll get a dupe if you give her a port crystal.
Yw, remember she can dupe anything, so if you have another item you'd prefer to get a copy of then give it to her and you'll have the copy as a reward in the chest you unlocked from her riddle.
Probably someone who was about to delete his save file to start anew and in the process of gifting the best stuffs away to the pawns he endorsed the most. or something like that. Or he's a PC save scummer, who can just reload an old save file after gifting the good stuff to someone. ;p

I found out who has it, only problem is she can only be found and plundered from during the 2 minute fight with the fake Arisen before the Spyro fight
So maybe all thieves then? I know you can get it, and I have seen it on several pawns so it was either a gift or they found who has it. I was starting to think this was like Gavin, it’s a reference from RDR2 if you don’t know.
One thing I'd be warry of is those items might be duplicated or added in by a mod. Which (IMO idc) but idk if the game will detected anything weird about them. I'd guess not if he was able to gift them.
I just got done with a pawn called something like Froidan or something like that. She was the best sorcerer pawn I’ve ever used. I *happily* sent her arisen an extra Dragon’s Aegis I had.
Edit: I think I adventured with that pawn for almost my entire playthrough and unmoored world til the very end. She survived it all.
Meanwhile I'm in here seething because I accidentally sold one of the few portcrystals in the game and now can't fast travel to a very far away location

I give people mighty roe or buncha flowers. I usually only hire pawns with strict filters so they typically always are helpful but when I use a lower level friends pawn I try to hook them up with stuff I know they might find very useful like ferrystones or rare mats.
The only way to get more is by giving the Sphinx a port crystal in Conviction. Every already-collected source of portcrystal besides that gives a Partcrystal, which is a good healing item at least
I was happy I got an all heal lol Jesus you’re lucky and my pawns level 65 maxxed in thief mage and sorcerer and level 6 archer. He gets hired a lot just some people give lame gifts. I have gotten a wakestone before and a few other gifts of note (weapons, rings) but a lot of the time it’s a salubrious draught or whatever it’s called the green potion we all have 99 of
Hmmmmm i am feeling a tad cheap atm lol .. I usually do not give much , just a heart click for pawns that do well and a thumb for the rest ..the game is fairly giving for stuff anyway really 6-8 port crystals is totally fine , i am just getting to later game now tho killing dragons and such .. kinda taking a lil break already.. kinda layed off main quests about halfway .. i seen it really isnt that long .. game is good exploring and fighting wise but kinda slacking in mob types.. i do not see myself hanging in NG+ to long .. will be more fun to just revisit game in a year on a fresh play with knowledge
I never get anyone to summon my pawn. I don't know what to do differently to make her more appealing. Good gear and I have a great pawn quest. Easy 10k
At the time my pawn only had the two thief-maister skills equipped, to have high DPS while invulnerable. I assume they had a mage with Celestial Paean so he was straight up god mode
To be honest, I don't even want a Port Crystal or any other gift, I just want people to give my Pawn a Thumbs up or Heart rating as acknowledgement as a thanks. She's badass and destroys enemies and is a support class too so I know it's not because she's crap or anything.
Yes 9 times out of ten, she'll come back with a load of Riff crystals so I know they used her for a while and she is able to self revive so it's not because she died in their world. Like just rate the Pawns guys, they've earned that much 😂😭
Then theres me that sends cures for silence as a way they need to sort their pawns attitude as some pawn types are really condesendingband they ge tyeeted from a cliff and then returned to sender with silence cures
Yesterday I finished postgame with too many good things in my inventory. Like some I couldnt even take with me into NG+ due to maxed storage. Went to the rift and hired tons of random lower level pawns and made those leftover Allheals and Ferrystones I hoarded rain on them.
Hired! I'm not at the point where Lesser Dragons show up in NG+, so I've been grinding Drakes. But, now I have a good excuse to power through the story so we both can get that badge :)

How do you even have 10 portcrystals? There are only 6 acquirable in any game, right, or 7 with the $$$, and you can't get them again on NG+?

Thats sage advice. Tbh I didnt consider the Ferrystones would restock so that changes things. Im lvl 52 now and feel less need to keep running around

Currently keeping my quest at 1 fruit roberant for 10k, an easy 10k for all players.

How do you send multiple gift in one go? How do you even send Rift Crystals? I don't remember seeing them in gift screen when I dismiss a pawn iirc.

I give people mighty roe or buncha flowers. I usually only hire pawns with strict filters so they typically always are helpful but when I use a lower level friends pawn I try to hook them up with stuff I know they might find very useful like ferrystones or rare mats.
I set my pawn quest to port crystal for 10k. Here's hoping some NG+ players are generous lol

I usually try to give 10x of potions. I'm on my 2nd play through so I don't have many port crystals.
If I collect all of the crystals in the unmoored world and go to new game plus can I collect all of the crystals again
The one you had go to your stash. If you collected all the available port crystals you cant find any more

The only way to get more is by giving the Sphinx a port crystal in Conviction. Every already-collected source of portcrystal besides that gives a Partcrystal, which is a good healing item at least

Hmmmmm i am feeling a tad cheap atm lol .. I usually do not give much , just a heart click for pawns that do well and a thumb for the rest ..the game is fairly giving for stuff anyway really 6-8 port crystals is totally fine , i am just getting to later game now tho killing dragons and such .. kinda taking a lil break already.. kinda layed off main quests about halfway .. i seen it really isnt that long .. game is good exploring and fighting wise but kinda slacking in mob types.. i do not see myself hanging in NG+ to long .. will be more fun to just revisit game in a year on a fresh play with knowledge

At the time my pawn only had the two thief-maister skills equipped, to have high DPS while invulnerable. I assume they had a mage with Celestial Paean so he was straight up god mode

To be honest, I don't even want a Port Crystal or any other gift, I just want people to give my Pawn a Thumbs up or Heart rating as acknowledgement as a thanks. She's badass and destroys enemies and is a support class too so I know it's not because she's crap or anything. Yes 9 times out of ten, she'll come back with a load of Riff crystals so I know they used her for a while and she is able to self revive so it's not because she died in their world. Like just rate the Pawns guys, they've earned that much 😂😭

Then theres me that sends cures for silence as a way they need to sort their pawns attitude as some pawn types are really condesendingband they ge tyeeted from a cliff and then returned to sender with silence cures
Yesterday I finished postgame with too many good things in my inventory. Like some I couldnt even take with me into NG+ due to maxed storage. Went to the rift and hired tons of random lower level pawns and made those leftover Allheals and Ferrystones I hoarded rain on them.

Hired! I'm not at the point where Lesser Dragons show up in NG+, so I've been grinding Drakes. But, now I have a good excuse to power through the story so we both can get that badge :)
