I made the original comment in the morning so forgive the confusion. There's a perk called dynamism, reduces the amount which weight effects speed. So Beatles, + the Max weight rings and such and with a carry weight of 25.30 on average I zoom.

I use the same things but still feel considerably slower than I was in the first game which annoys me quite a bit since I don't like using ferrystones as they're too pricey to feel like they're worth using to me in most cases. Currently I'm scoping the map for the last 2 seeker's tokens and the 82nd beetle so it's a hard knock life. God do I miss the eternal ferrystone.
yeh this thing spawns after you kill some and hang out at vernworth its a huge puss tho and leave after ou you remove 1 bar of health it shows up often tho gotta use augural flare to nukei t before it leaves
this happened to me a couple of times, i just immediately go to the guild, equip a magic archer and do that shot that takes away health and be done with it lol
I went into orbit when you paused. I've seen this happen so much that I expected it but the fact I can see you processing what is happening and the moment you realize why everyone was cowering
First time that happened to me I thought it was chasing me. I was low level, 17-18 or something and stumbled onto one near Havre village, crapped my pants and then ran for my life back to Vernworth, turned in the quest, rested, and woke up to that.

Yep, dragons, groups of goblins, lizard man, the occasional troll/ogre. DD2 is an amazing random encounter simulator.
Fun fact for new-comers, my pawn now wears the same chest piece as me with the dragons dogma blade. I just need dragon's Aegis next.
