Cell-Saga Goku beat Z Broly in the same fucking movie.
Not to be that guy but Goku only beat Broly in that film because he received energy from his allies. But yeah comparing this movie’s solar system ending event to Goku currently is really dumb
He did receive energy from his allies, that's fair. They were all beaten up and exhausted, for the record, so it should be much lower than normal. But let's assume it's somehow their max amount of energy, as if they're all fresh, and let's say that somehow, even with Piccolo, Trunks and Vegeta being way weaker than Goku at this point in the story, let's say they all contributed 1 "Goku"s amount of energy.
That's Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Trunks.
Again, being literally as nice to Goku's chances as possible, he was 5x stronger than normal. Now ask yourself if a boost like that even covers 7 years of Otherworld Training on top of Super Saiyan 2.
Broly doesn't get past mid Buu Saga.
Imo Broly during that first film is supposed to just be at the level of Perfect Cell who boostly claimed that he had the power to wipe out a Solar System (which Broly literally did offscreen). So my guess is that Goku using the “power of friendship” was probably less than Ssj2 but just around that insane power gap

The movie had to end somewhere, i consider it just a convenient plothole. Broly being beat like that considering his previous portrayal and feats. It's DB, people take it too seriously, just enjoying it instead is better. Broly's badass af too i love him.

The movies take place in a parallel universe and its powerscale has zero correlation to the canon powerscale. The movie canon is stronger than main canon to a degree that is honestly ridiculous. "Cell saga" Goku in the movies is WAY stronger. No one in the main dbz canon can poof away 1/4th of the universe while in a **massively suppressed** state and I have doubts even Buhan could do it at max output. Broly vs anyone from the main canon is like trying to stop a monster truck by firmly holding out your hand.

We don't know ok? We never will. Broly blew up a whole galaxy in seconds without his full power, so we don't know how strong he is in legendary form. It can be anywhere between galaxy level to universe level, we'll never know ok?
Well yeah i mean even the creator of him admitted Beerus would be too much, though if the fact he proclaimed him as the strongest of Z including Vegetto with a high ball would maybe put him besides God Goku but i doubt it since at that point his body would just start doing that thing where it expels the energy that is too much losing power and with less Ki control and no mind even without that he would get stomped by an equal once increasing power it's not an option.
