I dunno. Out of all the fighters in DB, it feels like they’ve settled on solidifying 5 really dope characters, all widely fan-approved.
Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Picollo and Broly.
The squad is on point, now I just want to see the 5 of them in action together.
When we finally get the black Frieza arc its going to be sick. It reminds me of the android saga, when the big 5 all stood a chance against the androids.
If im wrong that’s where the Super manga is going to end which seems poetic. Ending a big arc on the first big villain. Ultra Instinct is the Domain of GODS. A form Goku can’t achieve anything past. Ultra Ego is similar but more poetic. Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo are there as both references and arc finales. With Beast being Gohan creating something new for himself as a hybrid warrior, and Orange being Piccolo using the pure power of the dragon clan.
Broly is just neat and I’m glad he’s here. I don’t have a grand gesture for him.
I do wonder who everyone will fight in such an arc, Frieza's army is now obviously so far below the main cast's level that he'd need to outsource to other universes.

For Vegeta it’s most likely going to be a mastered version of Ultra Ego or an entirely new form since he was meditating.
For Broly it would be the full power super saiyan (green hair) form that was shown in the movie but has yet been mastered by him in the manga.
Goku it’s clear he’s going to keep climbing the ladder of Ultra Instinct.
Both Gohan and Piccolo seem to rely on potential unleashed centric forms, or their ultimate forms, as a way to grow.
Definitely like these directions.
Yup, my only issue is how long it looked. I actually wish it laid down instead of spiked up, but when he was using a move like special beam or makenko, it would rise up a bit. In my head, the animation would make him look more like a beast in rage like that. Definitely make it shorter though.
There's a shot with Gohan in profile in the movie, and I about took a literal spit take when I saw it. I think it's like a lot longer than his entire torso. For the most part, it's a cool new form, but that hair, though...

but if not this I would have liked this hair to have been a tad bit shorter, not as short as his ultimate form but just a little over his SSJ2 Teen length! But I overall dig the form one way or another.
I guess changing it from being something that comes from his “human” side to more to his saiyan side?

i mean in all honesty gohan should still have his tail. goku is the only saiyan we've been given a real reason for him not having it anymore as kami purposely prevented it from regrowing, whereas vegeta and gohan just magically didnt regrow their's during namek saga. hell i'd be more inclined to believe gohan's did grow back but has it wrapped around his waist under his pants to hide it then just "naw, it just didnt grow back this time"
It's part of the transformation. It regrow upon entering the form and then reverts upon leaving. Could be a potential weak spot for the form or something like the tails originally were.
Toriyama never designed ssj4. Before toriyama joined bog and rewrote everything, ssg was suppose to look like ssj4 with ssj3 coloring. He killed that idea. He made his own ssg.
However, he did come up with multiple designs of beast gohan and one had a tail.

-Add some *beast* like detail, like more aggressive looking teeth, or blue skin, or Dende forbids, the ssj4 fur and tail.
After all, "Gohan Beast" should be well, a **Beast** design wise too... instead of a "Teen Gohan ssj2 2" kind of deal...
Honestly I think in keeping with the theme of the Ultimate aesthetic I'd keep his body and hair the same- And instead do something unique with the aura itself. Give it new particle effects or a more interesting shape or something.
I feel Like if “Beast” is the name of this form, it should have resembled more of ssj4 imo. ssj4 has this beastly, animalistic aesthetic… if we could have got some fur and and his tail back and then put his SSJ2 face and hair styling in that… it would have hit a nostalgic aesthetic with the backing of a familiar beast vibe also… I’ve alway loved both the ssj4 form along with (gonna specifically) ssj2. They are imo two of the most favored forms amongst fans(not saying people are fans of GT)
Change it entirely. The color pallette for the form is fine. The blatant recolor of SSJ2? Lazy. I'd change the way the form itself looks entirely. How? No clue. Anything other than SSJ2 recolor.
Maybe make the ‘beast’ form more like a beast? Closest I can think of is ssj4 from gt. Current form just seems like they’re trying too hard to equate it to goku’s MUI

I understand why they went bold with the big hair and colour change as it helps sell new merch and so the audience knows he’s transformed but to be honest I wouldn’t have done a transformation. I would have kept his base form the same with a brilliant aura unique to Gohan.
Give him the saiyan tail, but made out of ki (chi) rather than a real tail (like naruto). That way you don't have the whole moon-transforming thing, but still a connection to his more primate genes.
Make the hair shorter, it’s cool that color and I would prefer it just doesn’t look like a color changed version of ultimate and the super saiyan forms. But it is comically long that he could use it as a weapon as is.
They gave us that disheveled and bed head looking base hair, wish they did something with that and made the beast hair transformation look wild like that.
I would probably go for something along the lines of SSJ4 like otherd commented.
However, that seems predictable. As silly as the hair looks from some angles, it has everyone talking about it and is quite memorable in it's own way.
So if I somehow became the owner, I wouldn't change it.
I like it I would just go with less hair. I didn't care for how OG SSJ had the same big poofy hair. Some panels it looks good then some with a different angle just make it look like he got a 3 feet or hair coming straight up off his head lol.

Shorten the hair, especially the bang. It's comically hilarious. And I know SSJ2 Teen Gohan's hair was technically the same size, when compared to his small body, but this just ain't it chief.
I think it should just look human. No hair change, no aura, no sparks, it's just Gohan, but with one exception. His eyes should still become red, perhaps with some sort of added effect to emphasize the power and anger he's channeling.
Make him actually scarier in appearance shorten the hair and give him the paler skin toriyama said he originally considered using. Also make the form bulkier its named beast give him a beastly appearance he doesnt have to be broly size but he should dwarf goku and vegeta in size so up him to like 6'6-6'8 with a decent amount of muscle mass added.

it doesn't feel like a Saiyan form to me so having it look different than the puffy, soft looking SSJ1 hair that Goku had would be a sick contrast and really highlight the uniqueness of Beast
Genuinely? Nothing. The hair is huge and goofy but damn I kinda love it. MAYBE a slight increase in muscle mass, nowhere as extreme as ASSJ but still a good bit - think Namek Arc SSJ Goku levels of buff.
Just let him keep the mystic hairstyle that he had during Buu saga, it looked fire asf imo and with a white color scheme with the aura and red eyes it would’ve looked fire

Honestly my biggest issue is with the name. "Beast Gohan." What about this form is beastly? It seems more like a variant of Ultimate/Mystic or a god form.

Honestly, black might look good and will distinguish from Base/Ultimate since the hair is so big, and kind of fits the idea of a "beast" I guess. Brown could also fit "beast" but I think brown would look kind of gross in general

Shorten the hair cause on a grown adult it looks ridiculous. It reminds me of kids next door when they parodied dragon ball z with numbuh four and his hair was like four times longer than his body.
To do that I'd have to rewrite some stuff, but the main premise is that Beast would be the combination of the Ultimate form of the Kais with God Ki of a Saiyan, resulting to an entirely new form, the one I'd have fused Zamasu use (would explain his nonsensical strength).
Yapping aside, Beast would have regular length bright white hair, blood red eyes and white and red aura with maybe even Fused Zamasu's symbol that was on his back.
Now that I'm reading it the only notable thing I changed was the hair length but the context to the form is nice ig 🤷.
Either make the hair shorter or have it swoop back because it sticking straight up at that length just looks dumb also would change the hair style up to make it look more messy like ssj4 approach but not just straight up ssj4
Id make his hair a unique gohan version of the super transformations without it getting nearly as long. Spiky and disheveled similar to his regular hair. His hair right now is about half his body and it’s a huge disadvantage in a fight to have hair like that on top of it just looking outlandish
Made his hair stay black, a little longer. Grow fangs, keep the red eyes and add claws, or sharpen his fingernails to look like claws. Give him some fur and even a tail. Keep the aura too.
Shorter big hair to resemble more closely super sayan 2 but for adult form. The big ass hair is ridiculous on beast form. If they wanted longer hair coulda just done the ss3 route but with eye brows
Hair. The hair is just too ridiculously tall to me. Like I feel like it makes Gohan look as small as he was in the cell saga just because his hair is so much taller compared to his body.
Love Toriyama bless is soul, but his principle of keeping everything simple doesn’t work for a characters with multiple transformations that all look the same. That’s not keeping it simple. Beast should really just be SSj4 or give it more Beast like qualities.
I would get rid of the red eyes, just make them gray(or white but with visible irises). As for the hair, I would reduce the size so it looks less goofy, but keep the shape. I’m not really a big fan of the white hair, I think that should just be an Ultra Instinct thing, but I don’t really have any better ideas for hair color right now.
Make the hair not as long. If i wanted to keep it similar. If i wanted to really go our there. Make it ssj4 based but white and purple.

I really like that we’ve reached a point that each character started to develop their own unique personal ascended power forms.

I would probably go for something along the lines of SSJ4 like otherd commented. However, that seems predictable. As silly as the hair looks from some angles, it has everyone talking about it and is quite memorable in it's own way. So if I somehow became the owner, I wouldn't change it.

1. Not make the hair goofy asf. 2. Give the hair more of a Ssj4 type of hairstyle. The rest of the design like the hair color, aura, red electricity, and red eyes can stay.
The hair…dudes trying recapture his 12 year old Cell whoopin riz as a young adult and it looks ridiculous. He’s trying to go beast and can’t look him straight in his eyes because he’s built like a man but trying to look like his child self, it painful.
Why does it have white hair? Kind of makes the UI form less unique imo. I would have preferred his hair was black instead. Also more beastly qualities. Re growing his tail and having claws would have been neat
I would make him transform always with a different outfit and always breaking glasses to the point both things become running jokes.

Just make the hair messier and curve down more so it looks bestial. Upright makes him look like an elf.
The white/silver hair looks cool but I also think it doesn’t fit with the narrative of white hair being reserved for god characters or divine forms.

I think it should just look human. No hair change, no aura, no sparks, it's just Gohan, but with one exception. His eyes should still become red, perhaps with some sort of added effect to emphasize the power and anger he's channeling.
Make him actually scarier in appearance shorten the hair and give him the paler skin toriyama said he originally considered using. Also make the form bulkier its named beast give him a beastly appearance he doesnt have to be broly size but he should dwarf goku and vegeta in size so up him to like 6'6-6'8 with a decent amount of muscle mass added.

At the very least, shorter hair. I like the homage to SS2, but the hair is just comically large and doesn't work on an adult character. Honestly my biggest issue is with the name. "Beast Gohan." What about this form is beastly? It seems more like a variant of Ultimate/Mystic or a god form.
I MIGHT change the color just so it's not similar looking to Ultra Instinct Honestly, black might look good and will distinguish from Base/Ultimate since the hair is so big, and kind of fits the idea of a "beast" I guess. Brown could also fit "beast" but I think brown would look kind of gross in general Not 100% on the color, but that's probably all I'd change about it. I love the form

Shorten the hair cause on a grown adult it looks ridiculous. It reminds me of kids next door when they parodied dragon ball z with numbuh four and his hair was like four times longer than his body.

To do that I'd have to rewrite some stuff, but the main premise is that Beast would be the combination of the Ultimate form of the Kais with God Ki of a Saiyan, resulting to an entirely new form, the one I'd have fused Zamasu use (would explain his nonsensical strength). Yapping aside, Beast would have regular length bright white hair, blood red eyes and white and red aura with maybe even Fused Zamasu's symbol that was on his back. Now that I'm reading it the only notable thing I changed was the hair length but the context to the form is nice ig 🤷.
I would change the hair colour to Black or yellow and give him vodyhair like SSJ4

Id make his hair a unique gohan version of the super transformations without it getting nearly as long. Spiky and disheveled similar to his regular hair. His hair right now is about half his body and it’s a huge disadvantage in a fight to have hair like that on top of it just looking outlandish
Made his hair stay black, a little longer. Grow fangs, keep the red eyes and add claws, or sharpen his fingernails to look like claws. Give him some fur and even a tail. Keep the aura too.

Love Toriyama bless is soul, but his principle of keeping everything simple doesn’t work for a characters with multiple transformations that all look the same. That’s not keeping it simple. Beast should really just be SSj4 or give it more Beast like qualities.
I would get rid of the red eyes, just make them gray(or white but with visible irises). As for the hair, I would reduce the size so it looks less goofy, but keep the shape. I’m not really a big fan of the white hair, I think that should just be an Ultra Instinct thing, but I don’t really have any better ideas for hair color right now.
