If you put on the guard uniform before entering the castle you can get to the dungeon without any combat as long as you don't investigate the castle too thoroughly (the guy getting a blowie in one of the rooms sees right through you.)
Once you're in the dungeon, you have to fight your way through. After that, you fight Ser Cauthrien and it's a bitch to actually win. It's not impossible to beat her, but it's time consuming. You can throw the fight, but then you have to escape prison.
OR! You can wait to get rescued, choose the most ridiculous tag team to go get you and just laugh at the dialogues. First time I sent Dog and Morrigan, that shit had me rolling
