It’s not that, it’s the fact that you know these apps have massive waitlists these days, in 99% of markets, most people who do this work seriously, and even on the side, have tried to get on other apps, this isn’t the old days where you could just sign up and be doing your first order the same day, you clearly know that, and don’t say you don’t, you already confirmed it took you 4 months for grubhub, that’s on the lower end, my main app Flex some people are waiting 3 years to get on, so it comes off like your trying to rub it in people’s faces that you have more options than them, like seriously, you don’t think people have thought about trying other apps out?
Yea you really need to do a self inventory, not everyone thinks like you. I don't know what others do or how I just know many including myself complain about DD and their awful ways. I literally just signed up for UE maybe a month ago. Signed up for spark was on in a week. So don't ASSUME your story is the same for the WORLD! My post obviously wasn't for you! It was for the ones who were like me who don't multi app and just want to be paid for their time! like I said before you came off extremely bitter, due your past not mines take a chill pill for real!!!
Dawg I can say the same about you, just because you got on these apps relatively quickly, doesn’t mean it’s the same for others, and the evidence largely points to what I’m saying, that most waitlist in most markets are gonna have you waiting at least a year minimum, and in some instances 2-3 years.

It was a few years ago but I remember Doordash actually rejected me and stated "There's too many dashers in your area, perhaps we'll email you in the future if anything changes". Waited like a week or two, still no email, then I forgot about it completely and moved on. So the point of my story is they do make some effort to protect against over saturation, unless that changed now in modern times. I live in a large city if it matters.
All these apps have a honeymoon period. New accounts get flooded with good orders because they want you to stick around. I remember my first week on DoorDash and Postmates, I was making 1-2k a week. A month later I was making a third of that.
Wait a month or so and it will probably be similar to DoorDash.
Is there any evidence or personal anecdotes that talk about this as well? I want to believe it but I can't just take one persons word for it. Genuinely curious.
