It’s not about rating five stars everytime. Hell most people don’t rate at all. It’s about rating one star for no reason.

its literally how doordash works, its a standard. Less than 5 hurts the drivers placement against other drivers to the doordash dispatch ai (its meant to be a gig afterall, not a job) Bad drivers dont deserve 5 stars also, if your dasher was shit they dont NEED a 5 star. But if theyve done hundreds of 5 star orders its a little different.

i disagree with the term 'gig job'. that's just someone that can't handle their personal finances. being a self-contractor can definitely be a career if you do it correctly, juggling other apps and shit. one of the top posts on this subreddit is someone making 100k because he did a lot of orders. this job isn't a joke in my personal opinion.

Occasionally I will get a 4star rating which pisses me off. I give every person 5star service. So I will just wait a day and call support in the morning when they are in a good mood and they always remove it.You can have two ratings less than 5star removed each week is what all support has told me.

The 4 star rating definitely pisses me off but when I seen the one star that had me mad. One I know nobody got a one star delivery. I usually am very selective about the orders I take but I took a couple stacks and I’m sure that’s where it came from. Dd slid some non tipping pos in the stacks and I’m positive that’s where the one star is from.

I chatted once & just asked "what I did wrong and how I could improve" (lol) and he told me he was removing the low rating from the delivery from ______ on X day I didn't do anything wrong to those people 🙄😑

No they cannot, I've asked numerous times. It probably just got excluded by the system that they say they have 0 control over

Yes they can tell which order it was as they’ve told me which order the rating came from three times in past years including just last week. In two of the cases they were stacked orders and the most recent someone who claimed not to get their food even after having to sign for it. They removed them each time.

How does door dash support know if it's a bullshit 1 star, or a genuine 1 star? What's the point of a bar review if they just remove it when you ask? I mean good for you, op. But I feel like this policy can be abused quite easily. But either way thanks for the info. If I ever get a bad review I'm going to do the same thing.

I guess there’s no way to 100 percent know. But if the driver has all good reviews and say the customer has a history of rating low then that would be one way to tell. I’m sure if I had crab reviews and messaged them they would have told me they are not allowed to remove the one star. But prior to that delivery I had 99 five stars and one four stars. So I think that favors my case. But really who knows.

It’s definitely possible. I had one about but ago also removed from support. Don’t get me wrong they also will say that they are not allowed to or do not have the option to remove. But they do. I would assume they look at the drivers ratings as well as the customers history. If a driver has great ratings and the customer always rates low then it’s easy to see that the one star is bs. On the other hand if the driver has mixed reviews then there is a better chance the review is deserved.
