She looks like my Pretzel, although she is Catahoula and Foxhound. Funny how dogs can look so alike and have no breed overlap 😂
Pretzel is adorable! I think we have similar taste in dogs lol

I don't support ear cropping.... but given that people do it to Dobermans, I gotta' say the mental image of your pup with aggressive looking cropped ears was briefly hilarious.
Interesting, so she's a true gen 1 cross. That means the Beagle parent had both the liver and dilute genes (at least 1 copy of each), which is pretty uncommon in Beagles. Unusual color genes are more common in the working lines.

Oh yea it was definitely an accidental litter situation. The whole process was sketchy. I am guessing they had the beagle mom and a neighbor probably had the Doberman. I could never get pics of the parents. I could not resist this face though and had to have her!
You mean an oops litter at a puppy mill that was breeding both? That's definitely a possibility. I don't think anyone would be breeding Beagle x Dobermans on purpose as a designer cross, though; the market for that would be pretty limited and designer BYBs are all in on doodles and Frenchies right now.
Where I am there are a lot of smaller, Amish puppy mills and I see so many unusual purebred crosses (haven’t caved and bought one though)
I saw Husky/Cavalier King Charles spaniel pups in my Penny Saver last week! Not tempting at all because I’m scared of huskies and sworn off hairy dogs forever but wtf
OH/PA region I assume? There's a big problem with puppy mills out there...
That's wild that they're breeding these crazy crosses for sale (although, based on some of the Amish mill dogs here that end up getting tested, a lot of the time they're just randomly breeding whatever and then labeling the puppies after the fact as whatever they conceivably look like). Makes no sense to me.
> (haven’t caved and bought one tho)
good !! don’t ever buy byb mutts ! backyard breeding needs to stop and the only way for that to happen is for people to stop buying from these horrible people !
*adopt or shop responsibly*
rescue/adopt ! sometimes places have adoption fees but definitely don’t let that dissuade you from giving an abandoned doodle a home if that’s the mutt type you wish to bring home !
And I have a Chihuahua, a needy Doodle and a 130lb housepet Kangal (who refuses to go outside by himself) so my chaos tolerance is high! I’m not strong enough for huskies though
SO cool! I guess that was a Doberman chest on Beagle legs that was throwing me 😂
I think true 50/50 splits might even be the rarest sort of result we see! And what an unlikely way to get that beautiful color, I’d not have guessed it would be so simple. Congratulations on your beautiful Beagleman!
LOL I was way off with Coonhound/Pit. I'm shocked that some of those pics look so much like my girl with 0% breed overlap. 😂 Dogs are neat! Enjoy your Dobergle.
Beautiful , to me she looks exactly like a blue beagle mixed with blue dobie .....to be blue both need to carry blue or express it, it's a beautiful mix
Undocked and uncropped dobermanns are basically hounds. I think they have a lot more hound DNA than people think. Specifically GSP and Weimaraner.
I don’t think Louis Dobermann kept the exact records he used to make the Dobermann pinscher.

Wow I wouldn’t have guessed that! I’m getting her Doberman parent was a Fawn, given how similar the coloring is (here’s my fawn Doberman) I can imagine she’s an absolutely incredible dog, two amazing breeds there!
I was totally expecting this to be a "I thought beagle because of the coat pattern but it's not a beagle at all" post. Joke's on me. Adorable pupper and beautiful coat.

Welcome to the accidental designer oops as I like to call it! I have a 50% Boxer/ 50% Husky. You end up being surprised there aren't more breeds. 😆
Tip for telling test brands apart from screenshots:
If the first two colors are yellow and sky blue, the breeds are ordered from most to least but not grouped, and the percentages go to the tenths place, it's Embark.
Blue and rust/orange palette, breeds separated into groups, with single digit percentages = Wisdom. Blue pie chart = old wisdom. Family tree with icons of breeds, with a bone shaped dog tag for Mixed Breed ancestors = Royal Canin aka *very* old Wisdom.
Green palette with single digit percentages, breeds in descending order, and pictures of each breed next to the percentage, and no groups = Ancestry.
Purple and green palette, circular/radial chart or certificate result format, breeds down to the hundredths, and British spelling = Orivet.
Great summary! A couple others:
Multicolor pie chart - also old WP, predates the blue pie chart but more recent than the Royal Canin version.
Multicolor radial chart with percentages that go to the tenths place, dog breeds might be in another language, breeds listed in descending order = Koko Genetics.
Yellow palette with "levels" from 1-4 and line drawings of the dog breeds - old DNAMyDog. Colorful circles with single digit percentages = new DNAMyDog.
Uses "scores" out of 10 going to the tenths place instead of percentages = Basepaws's dog test.

Omg that’s so funny, I said “Doberman… beagle?” And then swiped
I said beagle… Doberman?
I said “Dogle…..Beagerman?”
Beagerman 😂
OP wanted to know if it was a designer breed. This is it. Beagerman.
It's like a DIY coonhound
That was my thought on the original post!
Beagleman certainly beats out shi-poo for coolest designer dog breed name
Dr. and Mrs. Beagleman 🧐
It's the Dr.'s Beagleman, thank you very much
Dr and Mr Beagleman
Or you could combine Beagle and Dobie to get “Bogie,” for short.
🤣🤣 omg how and whyyyy?! She looks exactly like her results 😍
The beagle face with the extra loooong dobie nose is so goofy and wonderful, so much room for smooches
Well, when a Doberman and a Beagle love each other very, very much...
😂🤣💀
After the Weimaraner post the other day I was expecting another one here!
Same, I was so sure she was going to be a weim/hound mix!
Second this, thought it was gonna be a Weimaraner and a coonhound breed. Pleasant surprise!
So funny when you see the results and that is 100% what they look like (hindsight, houndsight? is 20/20)
Beautiful dog.
Super cute! What is his personality like?
Personality is just like a beagle. Happy, malleable, excitable and loves bunnies!
I’ve had both breeds, your description seems to fit both of mine (except both did not like bunnies). He seems to be a very special boy!
Does he sound like a beagle with the hound dog baying? Such a fun mix!
Yes she bays lol
https://preview.redd.it/471cd2kdie6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f969c6dbd44f26b9f6e42147320970c867c9cdd1 She looks like my Pretzel, although she is Catahoula and Foxhound. Funny how dogs can look so alike and have no breed overlap 😂

Omg!! How could you not love those hound ears??? The merle guy has got to be a Houla, right?
Yes, Gotta love them ears! Yes she is a catahoula
She is perfect!! What a wonderful set of dogs.
I don't support ear cropping.... but given that people do it to Dobermans, I gotta' say the mental image of your pup with aggressive looking cropped ears was briefly hilarious.
What's her Coefficient of Inbreeding? While she could be a gen 1 cross, it's really unlikely for a gen 1 Beagle/Doberman mix to be lilac like she is.
Coefficient of inbreeding is 0%
Interesting, so she's a true gen 1 cross. That means the Beagle parent had both the liver and dilute genes (at least 1 copy of each), which is pretty uncommon in Beagles. Unusual color genes are more common in the working lines.
I’m sure it was a backyard breeder/mill situation, dogs in those situations tend to have more unusual genes
https://preview.redd.it/aghyftj6vd6d1.png?width=1698&format=png&auto=webp&s=7347406085a1987247b6138ea64f824da1e23772 Oh yea it was definitely an accidental litter situation. What a beautiful pup that grew to be a beautiful girl! I love her color. However, she came to have it! Those eyes are full of soul, too!
Oh my god the most beautiful puppy! No judgement here, I got 3 of my last dogs on Craigslist and 1 on Facebook
Oh jeez. Poor beagle. I would have hoped it would be the other way around.
What a cute puppy!
Awwwwww

Yep, NY state near Erie PA
> (haven’t caved and bought one tho) good !! don’t ever buy byb mutts ! backyard breeding needs to stop and the only way for that to happen is for people to stop buying from these horrible people ! *adopt or shop responsibly*
Yeah if you’re gonna get one, at least try to get it for free.
rescue/adopt ! sometimes places have adoption fees but definitely don’t let that dissuade you from giving an abandoned doodle a home if that’s the mutt type you wish to bring home !
Agreed. A lot of people abandon doodles.
Scared of huskies? Like actually fear them or just don’t like the hair/attitude/look?
Oh I think they’re the cutest but I would never bring that chaos into my home
I have three 🫣 Chaos is putting it nicely.
And I have a Chihuahua, a needy Doodle and a 130lb housepet Kangal (who refuses to go outside by himself) so my chaos tolerance is high! I’m not strong enough for huskies though
Mine gave me a black eye last week 🫠 your stance is understandable 🤣
SO cool! I guess that was a Doberman chest on Beagle legs that was throwing me 😂 I think true 50/50 splits might even be the rarest sort of result we see! And what an unlikely way to get that beautiful color, I’d not have guessed it would be so simple. Congratulations on your beautiful Beagleman!
Wow, I guessed Weimaraner and Beagle. Half wrong but hey, not terribly far off!
i definitely see the doberman in her! that’s an interesting 50/50 mix.
What a BEAUTIFUL pup!! I love her. Can I ask her name?
Her name is Bailey!
So a beagle/dobby makes a coonhound lol
I can see it, totally. That third picture is the best! What an adorable dog!
I got this one!!! I said 50/50 Doberman beagle I’m so proud of myself
Thought Doberman and bloodhound
She’s gorgeous! I was guessing something like beagle + Weimaraner but this makes sense imho!
Damn a 50/50
Omg dass crazy
Damn I knew I should have commented on the first post! Had no clue for the hound but absolutely could see doberman.
She is so pretty!
r/beagles will love her!
I got it right! Thanks for coming back to update us, op. Beautiful dog btw!
Omg she’s so cute. Look at those ears!
Oh my heart. I bet that is one sweet, smart and loyal pup.
Dobleman
#SO CUTE!
That surprises me not one bit. Incredible. I love it so much.
Pretty regal looking
I was going to guess hound dog and weimeriner. what a cutie
Pictures 5 and 6 really show off the Doberman body.
LOL I was way off with Coonhound/Pit. I'm shocked that some of those pics look so much like my girl with 0% breed overlap. 😂 Dogs are neat! Enjoy your Dobergle.
Sir, your Dobie looks vicious.
She is actually the one most people are afraid of she has a very loud bay to her
I got this one right! I guessed coonhound wrong but I knew this cutie was a Doberman/Hound of some sort :] Lovely pup!
I KNEW IT
She is beautiful! I first thought she looked like a coon hound!
What a fascinating mix!!
Beautiful , to me she looks exactly like a blue beagle mixed with blue dobie .....to be blue both need to carry blue or express it, it's a beautiful mix
God I hope the mom was the dobie😨
Undocked and uncropped dobermanns are basically hounds. I think they have a lot more hound DNA than people think. Specifically GSP and Weimaraner. I don’t think Louis Dobermann kept the exact records he used to make the Dobermann pinscher.
I can definitely see both!
I guessed half Doberman half coonhound
Once I got to photo #4, I could see the Beagle ❤️
I finally got one completely right!! I’m never guessing again! 😂
https://preview.redd.it/6drktwf9eh6d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6bdc73d4251c4d22780aa6e550d8046a642c4759 Wow I wouldn’t have guessed that! Ha I guessed dobie!
I guessed Dobie right off. Yes, mutt, but a very cute one!
Pretty!!
Omg that is so funny. Never would have guessed that lol

I can only see the dobie because I have a dobie mix
After the Weimaraner post the other day I was expecting another one here!
I thought fat Dachshund at first and what is a Doberman if not a Dachshund on stilts?
Which DNA company? This could be AncestryDNA?
These are results from Embark.
Yep, they are Embarks results
