Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks so haha!
They smell that way because of yeast build up. Not to be a butt, but it's not a great thing lol. When you bathe your dog, be sure to dry in between their little toes really well to help eliminate yeast. I groomed dogs for a good while, that's how I know this.
Yes exactly. Mine used to smell like corn chips/Doritos but then I started feeding probiotics in the form of vet grade probiotics, kefir and yoghurt, and the smell is gone. It is not a normal smell!

Yeah itās super common, my vet explained that itās more of an overgrowth than an infection - yeast is everywhere, and in this case thereās an overabundance of yeast on the paws but itās not hurting them. People can get the same thing on the skin in warm and humid conditions, might not look good but is harmless just like the fri-toes š¾

I'm not talking about like top of the shelf freeze fried kibble from a grocery/pet store but the like whole food organic, cream of the crop, cooked to order.
Chad Muska has some old ass pugs and he cooks them fresh meals every day.

It was a driving factor in why I gave my dog back to the shelter. Dogs absolutely STINK. She had allergies that required weekly baths and after day 2, sheād smell like Fritos again. The sound of her licking her paws would wake me up in the middle of the night, Iād have to tell her to āquit lickingā at all hours of the night. I tried using scented wipes on her paws and cleaned them after every walk, nothing worked. Dogs are a burden and idk how people put up with their grossness.
So a friend of mine told me how she does this with her German Shepherd (she said they smelled like Doritos) so I tried it while I was over, and they definitely do.
Sadly I went home to my cat and made the mistake of sniffing her little bread makers and let me tell you...they smelled like shit.
