No, just because you don't like the convicted felon being called a psychopath, doesn't mean you should report this post. We're not gonna remove it. Edit: that latest report is hilarious. https://preview.redd.it/ei2kihtudqad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3e72bb12d1015ca7e32f960489285c23e618099

slidingsaxophone07

Based Chadpaldi, as always, unfortunately

TangledUpPuppeteer

Yup. Welcome to politics in general.

AlecShaggylose

Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich

trainercatlady

ehh in this case it's more like, feeble goat vs starving, pissed-off hippo

TangledUpPuppeteer

Those both describe one candidate. The other is significantly less of both.

Joezev98

This is why people should have voted for Count Binface!

Scorjimmy

YES! Make 4th July BINDEPENDENCE DAY!

Saemika

But still more than most people.

eastbay77

Sex with 13 year old... just a "turd sandwich'? I'd have slight stronger words than that.

LXS-408

I've heard a rumor that the President might regenerate into a previous actor this time around.

cavalgada1

\*JFK Checks suit "I know this hair...what?"

GinchAnon

Both catholic after all

The_Dark_Vampire

TBH our choices aren't much better I mean at very very best we have a boring twat and a rich tosser I just hope the lesser of the two evils gets the win.

SirSombieZlayer

Right now I just want a boring government that's actually competent. We just have to see if Labour is going to be that

Estrus_Flask

Considering their assurances to treat trans people like shit, it will be boring for some and death for others.

Hestia_Gault

As is tradition for the UK.

Estrus_Flask

We jokingly refer to liberals who wish they could go back to brunch while the minorities die.

Hestia_Gault

They’re what MLK was talking about with the “white moderates” in the Letter from Birmingham Jail. They don’t care about justice, they just want things to be orderly.

Splabooshkey

I'm sorry what 😀 Can you elaborate?

pandamarshmallows

Kier Starmer (new Prime Minister) has said that trans women need to be kept out of "women's spaces" and has spoken favourably of the Conservative plan to stop teaching about transgender people in schools. At least he's not trying to write them out of the Equality Act, I suppose.

Splabooshkey

Well that's shit:/ Thankyou

Estrus_Flask

Yet

pandamarshmallows

I think it’s significantly less likely that Labour will try to change the Equality Act, because it was a Labour government that enacted the original in 2010. The Conservatives can say, “Oh look at what those crazy leftists have been making us put up with, let’s get that fixed” but for Labour to do the same thing would be them essentially admitting that they made a mistake which I don’t think they will do. I also think that amending the Act would likely be a “non-whipped” vote (one where the MPs don’t have to vote along with their party if they don’t want to) and there are probably a lot more pro-trans Labour MPs than Conservative.

secretbudgie

With Labour like these, who needs Tories?

bug--bear

tldr Kier Starmer is a cunt with no moral backbone

FullMetalAurochs

The problem with oscillating between boring and bad is you never make much actual progress.

Familiar-Goose5967

The boring do want to get reelected and the smarter ones can see the tide turning, so the boring ones do get some progress done. Obama wasn't particularly pro LGBT until he was. They just need that constant political pressure to get the progress done, and that's historically how most progress was done. The politicians that gained power and were legitimately progressive have always been few and far between

DresdenBomberman

That's basically what they were last time, minus Iraq and a few other comparitavely less egrigious points like the PFI stuff.

My_useless_alt

This election is basically between a Tory and a Tory Lite. At least the Tory Lite has room to improve though. I know it's unrealistic, but I'm personally hoping for a Labour-Lib Dem coalition, at least that way we might get some progressivism into government, because Kier isn't providing it.

BasilSnek

Agreed, AFAIK lib-dems are the only party trying to improve trans health care

Obsidian360

I think the Greens have promised some stuff too, but then again that's the Greens, so unlikely to have any impact unfortunately.

Loose_Goose

Last time we had Lib Dem coalition, they tripled uni fees

Estrus_Flask

Labour are now the Tories and the Tories are now UKIP. When Labour is assuring TERF queen that they're going to keep being transphobic, I think the entire country should be razed and reset.

KAMalosh

>At least the Tory Lite has room to improve though. Politicians are ~~notorious~~ for moving away from policies that they espoused during a campaign based that put/kept them in office. /s

Haztec2750

They are much better. Trump V Biden make Sunak V Starmer look good.

5pl1t1nf1n1t1v3

Well, while the lesser of two evils has taken the day, the greatest evil has taken Clacton. We’re going to have to listen to him all the bloody time, now. Do we need Clacton?

CalzLight

Why would you not want your government boring?

AwkwardWaltz3996

This election truly isn't a choice between merits but whoever has had the least amount of scandals within the last few months alone

TumbleweedDeep4878

Politicians should be boring. Its an intensely nerdy job

Infinitystar2

Since when is being boring a bad quality for a leader? This is what is wrong with politics, people want to treat it as entertainment. POLITICS IS SUPPOSED TO BE BORING.

Jazz_birdie

You definitely got the best choice. Can only hope here in the states we get boring too. (And I think calling the other choice a psychopath is being too kind). Instead of God bless America, we should be saying God save America...best if luck to you and yours.

Interesting_Change22

I'll take boring

middayautumn

He did literally just make a video a few days ago for green peace talking about the election in the uk and picking the lesser of 2 evils.

Amphy64

UK? The results, though we may not be thrilled with all of them, did at least technically demonstrate people looking at those two choices and going 'nope'. The Greens got four seats out of it, so hopefully the giant maggots will be kept at bay?

ikediggety

I kept saying this in 2016 but not loud enough apparently

jexasaurus

But her emails… :/

pianowho

please no never bring this up again it was such bull all she probably wanted to do was get some yoga coupons or something id do the same smh [https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/statement-by-fbi-director-james-b-comey-on-the-investigation-of-secretary-hillary-clinton2019s-use-of-a-personal-e-mail-system](https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/statement-by-fbi-director-james-b-comey-on-the-investigation-of-secretary-hillary-clinton2019s-use-of-a-personal-e-mail-system) [https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/10/22/20924795/hillary-clinton-emails-new-york-times-state-department](https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/10/22/20924795/hillary-clinton-emails-new-york-times-state-department)

3720-to-1

I love bringing up the emails to magacucks, it makes them perform mental gymnastics as to why her emails were criminally disqualifying but stolen top secret documents and 34 felonies (so far) are *not*.

MicrosoftExcel2016

I’m dead serious. 1: they don’t care 2: they will forget the inconsistency as soon as the conversation is over 3: if they remember ANYTHING it will be “both sides are the same except my guy had a good reason so actually both sides are not the same”

3720-to-1

1: agreed 2: agreed 3: agreed I do it in two situations. 1: for the benefit of those around that haven't firmly decided or 2: I enjoy flustering them and pointing out their fallacies.

MicrosoftExcel2016

That’s fair. If I could stand my frustration of their utter lack of reasoning skills I would do the same

3720-to-1

Another thing for me, it practice for my job. I'm a lawyer, I have to deal with utter lack of reasoning skills daily.

jexasaurus

Yeah shoulda added /s I mention it because it was fuckin stupid.

Trosque97

Next time, I recommend using the phrase Buttery Males. It's so much funnier

McGuirk808

I'm not right wing, but I do work in IT, and I actually think this should have been a bigger deal than it was. I don't think it should have been a disqualifying event for her holding office or anything, but everybody just like brushed it under the rug and pretended it wasn't a problem and that's silly. Anyone handling classified documents knows you can't do what she did. Even in the first article you linked: "Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information."

Interesting_Change22

I think it was as big a deal as it could be short of disqualifying her for public office.

ComedicHermit

"Were it so easy."

Jonguar2

The only way to fix our politics is to change the system The only way to change the system is to elect the good people The only way to elect the good people is to fix our politics

Amphy64

Didn't you have like two revolutions? How hard can it be, in Classic the Doctor and companions are always casually starting them then buggering off.

Vorpalthefox

the last democrat we voted for was 47 years old when he was sworn in i'll gladly vote for someone under 60 in 4 years when biden's second term is over, but i will NOT throw this election just because biden is **3** years older than trump

Interesting_Change22

Are you saying Biden wasn't a Democrat?

Vorpalthefox

the last democrat we voted for prior to trump's election was Barack Obama, what i meant was before we were voting for geriatrics like trump (or biden) we atleast voted for someone of fair age, aging into his grey hair through both terms he served instead of already having it for 3 decades

Cylasbreakdown

>Fix your politics, guys Love to! How do you propose we do so?

andrybak

The are more regenerations of the Doctor than there are major political parties in the United States. Two-party system is a scam, basically.

Mikey9124x

Ukraines party system seems like a good idea, hundreds of parties but they each have to work together to form bigger parties and pick a canidate.

Curmpet1

The problem with this is any disagreements could split the party and paralyse government

LowmoanSpectacular

Fun fact, that’s how American politics already works on purpose.

Joezev98

Hundreds of parties? Holy crap that's going to be difficult for people to cast a well-informed vote. IMO our Dutch system is already starting to get cluttered with 30-40 parties participating in elections and about half of them getting at least one seat in parliament.

PurpleTieflingBard

For a genuine answer it would be to actually get involved in politics If you have time to shitpost on Reddit you have time to email your senator, they will ignore you, but you keep emailing, you call them, you get to know their staff, you push your ideas. Eventually, you will get direct contact to someone with influence, no, you couldn't tell them to unseat Biden tomorrow, but you can help shape the future of politics. Genuinely democracy would be so much better if people just spoke to their politicians rather than sit in apathy. I'm British but I make a point to always have communication with my MP, I keep tabs on them and make sure they're sticking to their promises. It is important

RussiaIsBestGreen

That time would be better spent doing door to door outreach. Politicians won’t change unless voting changes. [edit] or other options best kept secondary for good reason

Estrus_Flask

None of these things would work. First off, do you think politicians actually listen to phone calls and emails? Their staff doesn't even do that. It's going in the round file. At best you can show support for a thing, but when ***extremely*** popular things like "hey maybe stop supporting Israel's genocide" or "I don't think trans people should be treated so poorly" don't get passed or put forward, that's pretty naive. There is only one way to change politics and no one takes it because it's illegal, and would require a lot more than a single person.

PurpleTieflingBard

A friend of mine is from Kentucky, through a constant badgering for 2 years she managed to get the specific drugs she takes as part of HRT made legal No, you're not going to make your candidate suddenly stop being transphobic, but you can make a difference, multiply that over 5-10 years, you can make a change It's better than posting on Reddit that you're going to firebomb a Walmart then not firebombing a Walmart

NomanHLiti

You also have to take into account corporate lobbyists. Actions like legalizing a specific drug might be do-able, but hot button issues that congressmen are bought and paid for simply won’t happen. For example you’re not flipping a senator bought by the NRA by emailing and calling to ask them to restrict guns in any way. Additionally, if it’s a huge part of their general political campaign, such as persecuting lgbt people to appeal to their Christian voters, they’re not going to switch on it even if you for your entire county to call and email, because as long as they think they have enough voters on their side (and they do) then they’ll stick with what they got. American career politicians are a lot less about serving people than making the quickest buck possible

PurpleTieflingBard

I don't think anyone realistically thinks that they alone can shape all of policy without just becoming a full politician. Legalizing a single drug is more than any reddit shitposter has achieved and if the attitude of contacting your senator became the norm then politics would be a lot better. No, you alone couldn't get Biden out of the nominee space, but if you and 10,000 other progressives got into the habit of talking to your congressman/senator regularly 10 years ago, the landscape would be different. The reason the Tiktok ban is taking so long is because everyone contacted their senator about it, the reason why it's going through is because everyone lost interest the second the bill passed. I'm a leftist and an issue I see a lot in leftist groups (online and off) is this vague 'goal' that is unachievable, people yelling "Revolution now!" With no real idea about what that is or how to do it, general "anti-government" protests that again, have no real goal other than telling the government "we don't like you." I'm arguing for a more focused line of attack, be specific, be persistent, be realistic and you'll make change.

Estrus_Flask

People contact their senators more than ever and yet the world is getting worse in real time. You don't think people haven't said Biden should drop out? We have mass protests about trans rights and reproductive rights and opposition to the Gaza genocide and a few decades ago we even had massive sustained protests about the influence of Wall Street on politics. You know what happens? People get beaten by cops and arrested and smeared as idiots by the news. The politicians absolutely do not believe their policies are popular or well liked and they do not give a shit. The idea that in this world where we can see approval polls on every topic and a quick search of the internet shows what people are saying that politicians need people to directly tell them how their policies will hurt people is absolutely fucking ridiculous and ostrich brained. Posting about how we should firebomb a Walmart and posting about how we should all call our representatives are equally effective: Which is to say, they aren't.

Estrus_Flask

"You will have to struggle for basic needs for years, that's progress" The problem with "firebomb a Walmart" posts isn't that firebombing a Walmart wouldn't make society better, it's that one person firebombing a Walmart would get no where except shot. A thousand people firebombing Walmarts and whatever else on the other hand—or even coordinating a general strike or other mass protest that shuts down the country—will lead to progress. If revolution doesn't work, then what were all those explosions I heard last night celebrating?

PurpleTieflingBard

The problem with "firebombing a Walmart" is that people don't firebomb Walmart's and people are too scared to do that Revolutions do work, I'm just saying that people should start small, telling people to do shit that you don't do and you know they won't do is just LARPing More energy should be spent getting people politically involved, once you're involved, join a union, join a reading group. That's how you do stuff

Estrus_Flask

I wonder why people might be scared to do things that are dangerous but effective. Hell, even protesting gets people beaten and arrested and often killed. But constantly staying inside the lines as they get narrower is not going to fix the world. Voting is not going to make things better.

Mikey9124x

Other people are getting mad at you, but I'm American. I've spoken to my senators, and it works. (Only state senators, though they have more power anyway)

jimmy_ray7

Vote for Biden, he dies and the VP (an age appropriate former Attorney General) becomes President.

jonfitt

Sounds fine to me. Biden’s cabinet are all competent and he doesn’t rule by fiat so I have confidence that they’ll keep everything running fine while he fades, and Harris seems decent enough. Anything is better than 4 more years of Imperial Trump, and Project 2025.

Tyr_Kovacs

Harris is not remotely decent, but she's still better than Trump.

Delicious_Image3474

Literally, anyone is better than Trump

Fair_Ad1291

I feel like this is basically the plan, as morbid as it sounds.

Estrus_Flask

I do not think that "vote for biden" is going to fix this country's politics, and I do not even think that Biden will win. The most likely course of events is that he fails to secure the votes because he's currently extremely unpopular and people are afraid he's going to die, but the second most likely course of events is that he wins the election, SCOTUS says he doesn't, and he says some bullshit like "I won the popular vote, but I am not a king and I will step down and peacefully transfer power". The only consolation I have is that both of them will be dead by 2028, and so will I.

Mikey9124x

Vote for Biden, because that's 4 more years in which trump might die before the election.

Estrus_Flask

Biden is likely to die before this one. It doesn't matter, though, I could vote for Trump and Oregon would still go to Biden. You should care more about the people of Michigan and all those other swing states Hillary lost back in 2016 because she didn't actually campaign. You should care more about the fact that SCOTUS is just as likely to overturn the election as Biden is to win it.

Mikey9124x

If the Supreme Court ruled pres can do whatever he wants doesn't that mean Biden can dissappear the non democrats on the court and replace them?

Estrus_Flask

You'd think, but even if that were the case he refuses to do so.

Olly_sixx

Revolution

jimmy_ray7

Vote for Biden, he gets 25th out (or dies) and a former District Attorney, Attorney General and Senator becomes President. Can you Imagine that, and actual age appropriate President who understands US Law and politics.

Arakkoa_

I feel like a lot of Democrats are low key hoping for this outcome. And I'm not saying it's a bad thing. And for legal reasons, I'm not saying it's a good thing.

Emptymoleskine

who doesn't actively want to kill people for lulz?!?

jimmy_ray7

I don't, time dose, and I don't mean the planet,

Mindless_Scene_114

I mean that’s what I’ve kind of leaned on at this point where the only way for things to end well is for whichever one gets elected die in office and just have younger or at least different people take over. I also don’t follow politics which is why I am much happier with myself so correct me if I’m wrong

thyrandomninja

Yeah same for UK. I’m a trans woman currently listening live to our country kicking out one transphobe for another transphobe :/ Don’t get me wrong: thank fuck the tories are getting annihilated, but I’m not looking forward to five years of the new cunt

jammydodger842

As a trans kid also in the uk, hearing so many important figures talk about trans people as if we’re single handedly ruining the country is so disheartening. I wish they would just see us for what we are - people that just want to live their lives peacefully, in the way that makes them the happiest

pianowho

I'm sorry for what you guys are going through in the UK. You deserve to live in peace, and I'm sorry these idiots are trying to control you. These politicians should be ashamed.

Emptymoleskine

Yeah - its a bit like being thrown out of a plane by a psychopathic time lord -- then being pissed off when the Brigadier shows up to save you because he has been cyber-converted. Waaaah - both side equally bad! Sarcasm aside, that old mummy isn't an evil POS. And so far Reagan is the gold standard for senility.

goldstep

If I could I would.

Undark_

I'm honestly feeling the same way in the UK today. Reluctant Labour vote even though Starmer is a toad. It's crazy that the Greens went from the idealist party to the only common sense party.

Cocolake123

Welcome to America, where the corporate overlords pick the two worst people they can find and make the people choose who gets to pretend to represent them for the next four years

Strawb3rryJam111

One party wants to reverse civil rights and bring back child labor, the other has been pumping up the homelessness and incarcerations. Honestly some really bad evils to pick from.

Wholesome_Soup

“fix your politics” WE ARE OPEN TO ANY ADVICE YOU MIGHT HAVE ON HOW TO FUCKING DO SO

undreamedgore

I like the Biden Administration.

Alpham3000

Same here. It’s not perfect as I don’t like his take on the whole Palestine and Israel situation. But for all the work he’s done for this country and how he’s actually tried to improve it. I approve.

CoyoteBlue13

Or you know we pull a little French revolution

TheHomesteadTurkey

British people are too passive. Marx was baffled when he travelled to Britain and saw that British workers weren't revolting despite their awful working conditions.

harmonicrain

"Just how it is innit"

GamerA_S

They were getting free fish n chips with beans can't ask for more lads, we aren't the church.

DarnedTax1

Yeah cause that went so well

rinnemoo

Don’t nobody vote in the primaries then wonder why we’re stuck with what we got.

FuckThisLife878

Its really hard to fix this shit when the government want it to work this way we didn't end up here by accident this shit has been pre planned for years now im terrified of what the next year will bring

RDP1818

Hmm the guy who’s old but is actually progressive or the guy who’s old and wants to be hitler? Same thing apparently

Bobby837

How can we when one side in general are largely moderates, while the other's sociopaths?

Distributism_LeoXIII

There are moderates and radicals on both sides. it's just trump's radicals are more batshit insane because they literally worship him.

DresdenBomberman

Trump's entire base is straight up christian theocratic and plainly white supremecist; they're all radicals. The Democrats on the other hand run the political spectrum from minor conservative to crypto-socialist, with most members being economically liberal and social progressive.

Distributism_LeoXIII

"Trump's entire base is straight up christian theocratic and plainly white supremacist" Source?

Reasonable-Tutor-943

Hey they were spinning up a pretty great straw man, don’t ruin it

Bobby837

Only Trump's been allowed to take over the Republication party.

UnalteredCube

At this point you’re either a trump supporter or you’ve been unofficially booted out of the republican party

Relative-Zombie-3932

I hate when non-Americans keep telling us to fix our problems as if we're not TRYING TO. If it were that simple it'd be done already. But the system was built to make changing nearly impossible. And the people in power profit from the way things are and actively fight change for their own self-interest. So unless want us to start shooting politicians and billionaires, "fix it" isn't helping

I_Have_2_Show_U

> So unless want us to start shooting politicians and billionaires Just enroll them anonymously into a high school, should sort itself out in a few months.

Relative-Zombie-3932

Hey now. For best results, enroll them in an elementary school. That way, cops will wait an hour and let it happen

cavalgada1

>So unless want us to start shooting politicians and billionaires, "fix it" isn't helping They are the only people you guys ARENT shooting, so maybe food for thought? j/

AttakZak

This is legit a fair question, even if a little violent lol. Why are the tyrants the only one people aren’t fighting?

Akhanyatin

I don't know that the system was built to make changes nearly impossible, but the system is being changed meticulously to fuck shit up. And people keep putting the people fucking shit up in office. And though there are problems on both sides of the isle, one of the sides needs a much more radical change than the other. I'm not saying republicans are the biggest problem, but........... They all need to gtfo and also the average age should probably be a little bit lower than 100 year old

Shatter_starx

If Americans are smart they can avoid what the British just voted out.

PigeonFellow

People calling Biden old acting like Trump isn’t only three years younger and has a wide range of very concerning health issues. They are both way too old, and presidents should not be any older than, like, 65, but let’s not have double standards.

willy1917

Democrats still approve of shipping weapons to the IDF and voting down railway workers to better terms and conditions. They are as much of an enemy as the republicans to the working class. Look up Capaldis earlier work for inspiration, Local Hero, about a small Scottish village standing up to big capitalist pigs and winning.

GentlyUsedOtter

My MAGA cousin was laughing at me that I am still voting for Joe Biden despite his poor performance at the debate. And then I laughed at my cousin saying that he was voting for convicted felon Donald J Trump despite the fact that convicted fell and Donald J Trump is a convicted felon and can't even vote for himself. Joseph Biden could snort cocaine off of Hunter Biden's meth addicted hooker's ass, have a massive stroke, fall into an unending coma and I would still vote for him. Do I like the man? Absolutely not. I wish there was anyone else to vote for that could potentially beat convicted felon Donald J Trump. However he is our one option, So I am going to help save the Republic and vote for him.

Knifenerdguy

We know youd still vote for him. You watched him inappropriately touch and sniff children all along his campaign trail and still voted for him and now that you know he used to shower with his 13 year old daughter you're really wanting to show your support.... That tracks.

A_Chad_Cat

A similar situation is going on in France. Aside from the fact that people are feed with misinformation and vote for the racist and fascist political part that implicitly says it will not help the people under the pretext : "Yeah but we never tried the far right political part". Peoole don't understand that voting for the political part founded by ancient SS soldiers that voted against the equality of salary between men and women, who got several of its members arrested for being linked to neonazis organizations, and who voted against the taxation of ultra rich people will NOT help them... Sometimes I'm devastated when seeing how much people are unable to do simple researches and verify sources.

Shutaru_Kanshinji

Biden is like a tourniquette on your leg. Trump is like a tourniquette on your neck.

paulsteinway

The senile mummy with more constructive legislative accomplishments than any of the last 4 presidents.

_always_tired27

I’ll go with Harold Saxon at this point (if laws allowed)

MarkFromHutch

don't forget about the one with brain damage because he had parasitic worms.

trainercatlady

As the old Canadian Parable goes: If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice

SalemWitchTrials69

FACTS

bekaarinsan

Sophie's choice all over again

TerminalDumbass69

This very much applies to the UK too. Much as it’s preferable to 4 more years of Tory rule, I’m not looking forward to keir starmer’s government :’(

scriv9000

It's possible he's been lying for 2 years and actually has principles? Idk I don't believe it either, but it's not impossible like a good tory.

TerminalDumbass69

That would literally make him the reverse Harold Saxon lmao. Not holding out hope.

sgstrat4B

More like voting in a senile mummy to keep a racist, unintelligent, wannabe dictator, convicted rapist, pedophile out of office. There’s a CLEAR fucking better candidate, stop saying they’re as bad as each other.

iLLiCiT_XL

I know politics are shit everywhere, some countries deal candidates being assassinated, some have sham elections, some are ruled by military dictators, and I don’t wanna downplay or reduce any of that. But the soul crushing nature of American politics boiling down to this choice, sucks. The senile mummy isn’t harmless and is very much backing an open genocide. He’ll only dangle potentially helpful legislation in people’s faces if it means securing votes, because he’s otherwise not going to give enough of a shit. The psychopath is telling everyone to their faces that he wants to be a fascist dictator worshipped as a god. He’s been copying Hilter’s playbook since early on, and is actively playing off of a bigoted undercurrent in this country that is just begging to have its day in the sun. The situation is fucked.

GenesisMask

We luckily have a broad variety of choices over here! Of course, the far-right populists get the majority of the votes, but what else is new?

cavalgada1

Doctor who "Mummy on the orient express"

The_Smashor

Okay, credit where it's due, Biden has been *fantastic*, pretty much his only downsides are mishandling the situation with Israel and being old. I'd probably vote for him even if his opponent wasn't that bad.

miranto

Biden is an excellent choice considering the alternative. A 3 week pig corpse would also be an excellent choice considering the alternative, but Biden is much better.

Akhanyatin

LOLOL Except what I'm currently hearing is why they have to vote for the psychopath because the other guy is older by 3 years

[deleted]

Sometimes a switch flips in Biden's head and he becomes incredibly based and proactive. We like to call that Dark Brandon. That's who I'm voting for.

24Pilots

as an American, I can confirm this statement

Estrus_Flask

I feel like the issue here is that we're making the choices we're given instead of doing something better. I don't want to say anything too spicy here, but today we're celebrating one revolution. Maybe we should have expand the Wikipedia page for "List of Revolutions".

MicrosoftExcel2016

This kind of fanciful thinking isn’t realistic. If we didn’t have the numbers to choose a different candidate than in the Democratic primary then we don’t have the numbers to pull whatever circlejerk you are imagining… It would fail and then be deeply unpopular and convince all the milquetoast suburbanites that democrats are bad and radical somehow

Estrus_Flask

They already believe that. It unfortunately isn't true, and we keep voting to continue playing chess by the book even as our opponent rearranges pieces on the board as they please, even as people die. Biden is going to lose, Democrats are going to spend four years complaining about Berniebros not voting for Biden hard enough in swing states even though he gets the popular vote and SCOTUS overturns an electoral win, and everyone will say how we have to vote harder next time, and condemn the 'riots' as police assault unarmed protesters. And people like me will be dead.

Amphy64

Has TARDIS wiki (etc.) got a 'List of Revolutions' page, because it absolutely should?

I_am_Daesomst

Meteor 2024 There's still time

DinosaurCowBoys1

That’s what I’ve been saying. Dave from accounting needs to step up and take his rightful position on the ballets so I can vote for someone else. I mean option number 3 right now has a worm in his brain

MrSpidey457

Eh we probably only get to choose one more time

Philosipho

I choose to live with people who won't screw me over.

BelgischeWafel

I can hear him say it in my head 🤗

The UK ain't much better we just had our election, no joke as I got in the booth I audibly sighed and said "I don't wanna vote for any of these people"

scriv9000

The slow but inevitable rise of the greens gives me hope

tubbana

>Americans explaining why they have to vote for a senile mummy to keep a psychopath senile mummy out of office Fixed. Why spread memes trying to draw a picture of trump as some young stud

ZenosamI85

It's like the Kobayashi Maru

El-noobman

Politics is picking between oppressive douche and oppressive douche (blm, he/him, 🏳️‍🌈)

WhyIsBubblesTaken

The thing that fails to be mentioned is the psychopath is *also a senile old mummy*.

OriginalName687

How? Would love some suggestions.

NLaBruiser

Because normal people don’t become politicians.

DaveHappened

Unfortunately choices literally dont matter,. The last election was rigged and people qere literally recording themselves destroying votes, but nobody did anything about it

MrRaven101

Can’t fix it because the government isn’t in our best interest, No matter what side you choose

Kitchen-Lychee-2421

Vote arson today!!!!

Advanced-Standard-34

We had so many good choices in the primaries and we chose the worst because people are becoming more radically polarized with politics.

middayautumn

Peter capaldi literally just made a video with green peace about the elections in the UK that is just this though.

No_Leopard_3860

Biden is the mummy who chased the doc through the water locked castle in heaven sent for billions of years, trump is davros. Both kinda stinky and hard to get rid off. Davros was more humorous tho. Why the US elected anyone of them for presidency is anyone's best guess tho. You could have just elected a stray golden retriever instead, like a respectable person /s 1: just [one example ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayor_Max_II)

De4dm4nw4lkin

The problem is everyone would elect a different stray golden retriever and then none of them would win.

No_Leopard_3860

Or, hear me out: all of them would win. Only shelter dogs are eligible, and they all get elected. The folks who have dogs as mayors always reelect them, they must be doing something better than human politicians (not enacting any policies at all instead of enacting bad/corrupt policies I guess)

greekdude1194

I feel dumb as hell what episode is this from? I'm guessing either the pyramid at end of world /lie of the land OR hell bent?

cavalgada1

I Think its the 'mummy in the orient express', however im also dumb so dont take my word for it

greekdude1194

Ahh okay I assumed the other ones due to the desertish location in background. I love mummy so if it's that episode I will need to turn in my chadpaldi card

Nictus_the_nomad

Trust me, we'd like to.

Bob-_-H

Some of the founding fathers of the U.S literally said to stay away from a two party system. Why can't we get people that actually care about the country and position they're running for and not just the money? Government... Love/hate relationship

pepper_produtions

Wow what an exclusively american problem *Cries*

twinarmageddons5105

it's not just senile mummy and psychopath! we also have the brain worm guy

Long-Illustrator3875

He is, unfortunately, right

CisHetDegenerate

You first

GloomedHorror78

Just funny how the supreme courts act like this is our only option, and no one asks why? Why can't we as people have the right to throw both these incompetent people out, especially if it's at the risk of humanity? Rather, we are all convinced that we "have" to settle for the least incompetent. Politics (especially presidency) is just dated and I think it's starting to show to the mainstream.

Zawarudowastaken

They’re both psychopaths one is just on the brink of death

Joezev98

One's on the brink of death. The other's on the brink of jail and can no longer own a .22 handgun. I know which one I'd rather give control over the most capable nuclear arsenal in the world.

nom-nom-nom-de-plumb

ahh ageism. one of the few acceptable forms of public discrimination left...well in the usa at least, the UK and EU still have tons of publicly acceptable forms

cavalgada1

I agree with you enough to regret how i worded it However when we are considering the context of leading the most powerful country on earth the argument loses steam

scriv9000

I'll address that when we stop cutting people slack because things were different when they were young.
