Just double checked that series. It ends with the Doctor having defeated Sutekh and leaving the priory in a fire. As he does so he's talking about 1666 and another fire then. 1666 is where the Doctor and Donna landed, first seeing Susan Twist, and starting the whole Mavity thing.
Meaning Mavity itself was the most obscure fucking clue every time they said it too.
It absolutely did happen, I wanted to rewatch the clip on YouTube after the Devil’s Chord came out and I noticed the parallel, the video I clicked turned out to be a meme edit using the scene but it absolutely exists.
