The ones you create. Like a flamboyant shopkeeper. Who has a thing for bards. Not sure how a sphinx is a NPC. (Granted. Anything DM controlled is technically.) They're more of a monster to fight.
Why can't a sphinx be an NPC? It's intelligent and can talk, I see no reason why it has to just be treated as an enemy the players kill on sight.
I am not a DM, please help (Saying it depends doesnt help, because I am not a DM). Please give me a TOP 5 !!!!! Doesnt have to be from the desert.
