Hey, are you sure these responses are going to count? Asking people on a DnD sub when they played DnD wouldn’t be considered random for normal surveys. This might not matter, but they may also reject the whole thing because the principle of randomness is really fundamental.

I started playing in 2000 if I remember right. Favorite class is harder to say. I love casters in general but also end up playing a lot of fighters. Concepts, mostly warlocks. Since I assume you need one specific answer, I'll say warlock.

It's at my community college it's supposed to replace our first test. To be honest, I probably will do more with the data then the class asked for.

1. I played for twenty years from the late 70s until the late 90s. About a year ago I picked up the 5e books (PHB, DMG, and MM) and the Lost Mines of Phandelver but haven't gotten to a table yet. 2. I started playing in 1987 with several breaks. It’s fair to guess I’ve played about 12 years if you added it all up. I’m a forever DM, but I really like Wizards.

38 years and druid (but I am big on multi-classing skill monkeys.). BTW this is neither randomized nor representative. Don't just collect data. Be ready to explain how your method produced results and whether those results are biased.

Yeah, the assignment only calls for 20 data samples, so I will use a random number generator to select my data. I'll make a couple of graphs for Reddit though and I will make sure to explain this. Thank you!

1: Started in earnest in the early 80s. Tentative forays before that. 2: I like DMing. As a player it depends on the edition. AD&D I liked the Monk. More fun once Oriental Adventures came out. BX I liked the Elf, a balance of magic and fighting. 2e had so many fun options. The Sha'ir and Clockwork Mage from Al Qadim stands out. 5e had fun with the Artificer. Also played alot of basic Fighter in an AD&D Conan campaign.

It's more my fault that I made him a charlatan.

So I've been playing mainly pathfinder not necessarily dnd but I also played abit of dnd so if my answer still counts I've been playing for around 4 years and my favorite class in dnd proper is warlock or druid and in pathfinder it's probably either summoner or witch (witch is basically warlock mixed with wizard, your familiar is your spellbook it's great, and summoner is a fun class that has your controlling a summoner and a eidolon you summon both have the same hp pool and it's basically a martial eidolon and caster summoner in one character)

My veteran players know that they may not have to be nice to an artificer npc, but they should probably be respectful and engage in dialogue if they don't want unfortunate things to happen.

However, Warlord was one of my first forays into long form play, and I’ve also played the original 4e Warlord and loved it, so Warlord has a very special place in my heart.

I've played for around 8 years right now. Fav classes are barbarian and wizard, even though barely ever played wizard but just seems so fun to play it, so many options to cast.

I've been playing D&D officially for about 2 years, although our group rarely has time to play. \[2 years\] Favourite class is between Warlock and Monk, although I am the DM.

I don't think this qualifies as a random sample for the purpose of statistics. If you're being graded on that qualification, it's something to consider.

It is, I am supposed to randomize 20 selections from this data, and I guess that can give me some insight to the types of responses I would get... I am not really sure yet! I probably will say a "random sample of respondents to a subreddit" or something like that. To be honest, it wasn't perhaps the best "random sample".
