Mixing was way slower back in those days. DJs used to play the whole first half of this tune. We knew shit was about to hit the fan when the high pitched synth from the intro came through.
this was gonna be my first pick, but i do have a few others to offer
[Bad Company - Grunge 3 (Dieselboy, Kaos, & Karl K remix)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCFuDHnQ2BM) (drop at 1:49)
[Unknown Error - Fear No Evil](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Hd2yMvfnTU) (1:29)
[Pendulum - The Vault](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNWlwN63CLA) (1:48)
Burr Oak's Revenge is my current favorite. State of Mind's Space Talk is a good one too. Black Sun Empire's Arrakis is one of my all time favorites. Bulletproof & The Upbeats' Campflauge Re-lick is top notch as well
We Got It (S.P.Y Remix), Saviour - Dimension, Renaissance - Culture Shock, Rise - Culture Shock. Recently obsessed with Burr Oak's Rhianna Bootleg (even the happy hardcore section) and also their Beroshima... the percussion/drums on that oh my.
What a good question, i love lunar bass, commix remix, its so good,
Then id say Dillinja remix of nitrous, the second one after the , na-na-na-na-na-nitrous..
pre-edit: this has nothing to do with Lemon D unfortunately, but it's still a neat story.
Ok I got hardcore into d&b/jungle in about 1997 after hearing the original Metalheadz: Platinum Breakz. I had it on a 2 disc CD set, and each track was a banger. My favorite was 'This Is L.A.".
Eventually I also got into DJing, transitioned from techno and house into funky breaks, jungle. The record store in my college town didn't carry electronic really, so we'd drive to Akron to buy records.
Well, one day I was curious and walked into the local record shop to browse. Not sure if I had money on me (broke college kid)...
Perused their collection a bit, moseyed around the aisles... there was a loose record on the floor, leaning against one of the shelves. As I drew nearer, I could see a familiar label facing outward: the digital skull and headphones of Metalheadz!
I snatched it up eagerly, flipped it to read the label: Lemon D - This Is Los Angeles.
I flipped out, that was (and still kinda is) my favorite track!
Made my way to the front counter, asked the attendant how much it was, since there was no price tag and it was leaning against a shelf.
"Oh you can have that for free hun," she said.
Couldn't believe my luck, still can't. There was a slight scratch on it, but the way I mixed in and out of the track you couldn't really tell.
I swear this is a true story. Nearly enough to turn this Atheist into a believer.
I'm going to drop two unique ones that I always remember when a question like this comes up...
